Catching Up After the Match (For Tatyina)

Following his match against Abbey, Yamato now sat in the locker room holding a bag of ice against his head, lightly groaning a bit in pain. The young man had put up one of his better fights since coming to Tension, which seemed to be a sign he was beginning to improve, though in the end he'd been forced to tap out. Still, at least it this defeat wasn't nearly as embarrassing as the one he'd suffered in his debut. Not to mention his opponent had been rather friendly.

"Well, that could've a lot worse…" he said aloud to himself, trying his best to focus on the bright side. The only thing that really stood in the way of that was the throbbing pain in his skull. That headbutt Abbey delivered had really packed some big impact behind it. But he did his best not to think about it, and changed out of his wrestling gear into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt before exiting the locker room. He then pulled out his phone, and saw a message his sister Mariko had sent just minutes before his match began. It said, "Sorry, I probably won't be able to make it in time to see the match. But good luck, and I'll be there asap. You can tell me all about it then."

"Hm, if she's not already here, she probably will be soon. Better go wait for her." Pocketing his phone, Yamato exited the locker room and took a seat on a nearby bench, keeping the ice over his head as he looked around for his sister. But soon he instead saw a different face he recognized not too far away, belonging to none other than the woman he'd just competed against in the ring a little while ago. Smiling, he stood waved, calling out to try to get her attention. "Oi, Abbey!"

Abbey was feeling good after the match. Another victory and while Yamato wasn't the most skilled guy around, he definitely was a worthy opponent and a friendly guy to boot. After a nice hot shower in the locker room, Abbey changed. Her own headache had subsided long ago, soothed, in part, by the salve of victory. However, as she stood looking over herself in the mirror, she saw a weld where she had crashed skulls with the young native.

"Geeze! Welllp, There' goes my chances for a sexy night on the town for the next week." She said with a sigh. She quickly got dressed, changing into a pair of tight fitting jeans that flared at the end and a sky blue t-shirt that had Silver Surfer on it. She threw her leather jacket over her shoulders, wrapped a wool knit scarf around her neck and a matching knit cap that covered her bump. She was ready to head back to her apartment for a long few days of recuperation.

That was when she heard a somewhat familiar voice and turned to see Yamato waving at her. She smiled instantly and quickly closed the gap between them. "Boyo!" She said. "Well, I guess I didn't rough you up too bad since you still have the energy to wave. How are you feeling?" She asked, her eyes drifting to the ice pack.

"Eheh, you look like you need some chicken noodle soup with that thing on your forehead. Sorry about that, again." She said, scratching the back of her head.

"Sore." he replied with a small laugh. "But aside from that and a bit of a headache, I'm alright. Thanks for asking." That was definitely an under exaggeration, but Yamato wasn't about to start complaining, especially considering he had no issues with Abbey.

"Don't worry about it. It was a match, after all. You're supposed to do what you can to win. I probably would've done the same thing." he said in response to her apology. "And how about you? I think I took the brunt of it, but I'm sure that shot didn't feel too great for you either."

"Yeah, well, just because I wanted to kick your ass doesn't mean I wanted you to get hospitalized or anything. Then again, if you prefer to brake your ankle instead of tapping, I guess that's on you." She said with a shrug and a small laugh. She then lifted up her head. "I got a nice welt. I'm sure it'll go over great at the bar but I'm going to have a hell of a time picking up chicks with a knot like that!"

Abbey nudged Yamato as though she were just joking. She slid her cap back over her head and smiled at Yamato. "So what are you up to now? Heading home to soak in a tub or zonk out?" She asked.

"Heh. True enough." Yamato said with a chuckle, before looking at the welt on Abbey's head as she showed it to him. "Daaang. Bet that's more than a little uncomfortable, huh?" But at hearing her comment about picking up chicks, he just smiled and waved his hands dismissively. "Pfft! You still look great, so I'm sure that wouldn't be an issue." he replied, nudging her right back.

"I'm sure I'll be heading back home to relax in a bit, but my sister's on her way over here right now. She wasn't able to make it in time to see the match, but she wanted to hear about how the match went." he answered. And right about when he finished his sentence, he glanced over and saw Mariko coming from around the corner. "Speak of the devil, here she is now." he said, smiling waving over to his sister.

Mariko had quickly noticed the ice pack over Yamato's head, but was relieved to see he seemed to be alright. But who was this pretty young woman he was talking to? She didn't know, but this was a good opportunity to have some fun and tease Yamato a bit.

"Snagging yourself a girlfriend so soon after your match, Yamato-kun? My, you're a fast worker." she said as she stood by her brother, winking toward Abbey. "You at least going to introduce me?"

"She's not my girlfriend!" Yamato replied, blushing a bit. He knew Mariko was teasing him, but it was still a bit embarrassing when she did stuff like this, especially in front of other people. But after a sigh, he quickly got over it. "Mariko, this is Abbey. She was my opponent in the match just now. Abbey, this is my sister, Mariko."

This immediately interested Mariko, whose eyes then scanned Abbey up and down. Giving a friendly smile, she extended a hand for a handshake. "Pleasure to meet you. How'd my brother fare in your match?" she asked.

"Oh, I do." Abbey said with a grin. It was true. Even with little welt, she was still hot and she knew it. The conversation seemed to be concluding. Polite but fairly banal. That was ok. Yamato was a nice guy but she was eager to get home. That was until he mentioned his sister.

"Devil?" She asked with a soft tease until Mariko appeared. Abbey's eyes lit up. The girl was pretty hot! Abbey's cheeks flushed as Mariko extended her hand. Suddenly she was glad the welt was covered.

'Oh, no, we're totally dating." Abbey said. She wrapped an arm around Yamato and then kissed his cheek. She reached out with her other hand and gave Mariko's hand a shy shake before grinning.

"I just couldn't get over the way manly way he tapped out. So. Hot." Abbey laughed and gave Yamato's arm an apologetic pat as she flashed him a grin. She could feel her nerves bunching up a bit.

"Actually, he did ok. There's a pretty big gap in skill, but his size alone can make up for it against most girls. I see a pretty bright future for him if he works at it." He said, a loose arm still around Yamato and a loose grip still on Mariko's hand as she shook it absent mindedly.

"Oh, ah, actually!" She said, realizing she had been holding the woman's hand. "I'm Abbey The pleasure's mine!" She reeled her hand in quickly and mentally slapped herself for her stupid introduction.

Yamato was a bit caught off guard as Abbey played along with Mariko's teasing and kissed him on the cheek. His face turned beat red and he comically flailed his arms around. "H-hey, knock it out!" he shouted in protest while Mariko just giggled at the scene, and at Abbey's slightly clumsy introduction before withdrawing her hand.

"Made him submit, did you? Well, that's nothing too new to him. Many of the little matches we had together before coming here ended the same way. Isn't that right, Yamato?~" she said, though Yamato just pouted and muttered under his breath.

"Still, I was a bit worried about him coming here. Wrestling's never seemed to come that naturally to him. But it seems his experiences here have helped him finally make some progress. I'm glad to hear you see potential in him." she said, nodding her head in a slight bow as a thank you.

Yamato just chuckled and scratched his head. "Yeah, Mariko's always been the wrestling expert between the two of us. But like she said, I'm making progress. And I appreciate the vote of confidence, Abbey!"

Abbey laughed at Yamato and grinned brightly as he flailed around. Most boys would probably love any kind of kiss from Abbey. Maybe Yamato was an innocent young man still? Maybe it was just his sister keeping his inner perv at bay. Either way, it was cute and distracted Abbey from the sexy lady that was talking to her enough not to trip over her words.

Unfortunately for Abbey, Mariko's casual way of describing their matches, made the bespectacled girl blush. She purred it like something devilish and forbidden. Abbey looked between the two of them and scratched her head, looking for the right thing to say.

"EHEHEH! errrr..." Abbey laughed at an inappropriate volume and quite awkwardly tried to take it back. "Yeah, Yamato-kun could probably do pretty good once he got some more experience!" There was a slight frog in her throat and she tried to swallow it down.

"H-How long have you been wrestling, Mariko?" She said, genuinely curious despite trying to keep herself as poised as possible.

Yamato continued to blush as the two girls talked, especially at hearing Abbey's words. Whether she was serious or just being polite, it was nice to hear stuff like that. Although, it was a bit embarrassing for him to have been much of the focus of the conversation to this point.

Mariko, however, now focused more on Abbey. She couldn't help but giggle when the blonde awkwardly laughed and attempted to recover. By now it had become clear to Mariko that Abbey was flustered, and it seemed to be because of her. Ever the teasing seductress, now she had two victims to toy with.

"Yamato-kun, your girlfriend is so cute! I could just take her home with me.~" she said with a slight grin, giving Abbey a playful smirk before finally answering her question. "Oh, I've been forcing people into submission for about as long as I can remember. My dear brother's been my poor victim the majority of the time before I came here, but I played with several other boys and girls too~" she said, adding a playful giggle at the end. "And what about you, Abbey-chan?"

Abbey blushed deeply at Mariko's words. Abbey might not mind so much if Mariko took her home but still. There was some level of comfort in Mariko's forthrightness. At least Abbey knew what she was getting out of Mariko now.

"Ahh, well, I have a lil bro too, so maybe I can relate a bit." Though she never made HIM submit ever. Certainly not the way that Mariko implied. Abbey's cheeks blushed even more at the thought. "I've been into wrestling as long as I can remember but I've been a wrestler since high school so basically it's all I've been doing. As far as professional wrestling goes, submissions are my forte but my background is in greco-roman wrestling, not jiu jitsu." Abbey smiled. "It was an easy transition to make, though I can certainly throw a strike if I need to. I know enough about boxing and upright striking to not get caught with my pants down."

Abbey then grinned at Yamato. "Plus, I'm pretty great at improvising. Isn't that right, Yamato-kun?" She said and gave him a hard slap on the back, using the young boy to anchor her thoughts away from the tantalizing Mariko as much as possible.

Abbey then looked carefully at Mariko. "Soooo, your background is in submission wrestling then? Jiu Jitsu maybe?" She asked. Abbey was curious if Mariko was using the word submission on purpose. She might make men and women alike submit to her but that didn't necessarily mean she needed wrestling to do it. The thought made Abbey's cheeks heat up a bit more.
