Keno Anderon and Mion Kiaragi vs Mariko and Yamato Ishii

Standard match rules won via pinfall or submission, tag teams rules are in effect.

The Vegas Quartet hadn't had much to do, after Mion's loss in friction against the honourable foe Mayu Hoshino. They had gone back to what they did in Sin City, Nevada. Keno got into underground fights, Mion trained, Jake and Jane conned people out of their cash.

But now things were looking up! Jake had managed to arrange a match for the two main fighters of the group, the Jack of Clubs Keno and the Queen of Diamonds Mion. The group was in the back, getting ready to show off in what was their tension debut!

Keno made sure his leather gloves were secure, with Mion checking her sarashi once more.

"Okay guys remember, this is our true maiden voyage. I want the pair of you to take the fight to them! I want..." Jake said as he was pacing around the room, making his costume as good as he could make it. The Ace of Spades was the ringleader of this gang, a con artist and street magician.

Before Jake could rant on about how everything needed to go smoothly, Keno stood up from his bench and cut him off with "We get your point Captain dramatic, plow em into the ground. We can do that can't we Mion?" he grinned at the Queen of Spades. They were a sort of couple, going from sparring against each other to going into rough sex.

The Japanese girl gave a small smile and said "Fighting is our forte, I feel glad that we're getting to fight properly at least." Mion used a focused style of karate and judo, Keno merely brawled till he fall. Which he rarely did.

Jane, the Queen of Hearts and the Sister of Jake was dressed in her Vegas showgirl attire. She smiled warmly at the group "Come on guys, better not keep the eyes waiting."



With that the group walked out to the entrance ramp, with the lights turning out. Then Jane would walk out with a spotlight on her, and the song Splashing Casino would play. With the Queen of Hearts doing her practised dancing, her outfit glittering in the lights.

Jake would then rush out with a microphone and say "Ladies and gentlemen roll up roll up, I Jake Rocana present to you.....the most marvellous martial magnificence that Las Vegas has to offer. I am the main man and the Ace of Spades. The lovely lady is my Sis Jane, the Queen of hearts.... he spoke with dramatic hand movements as he did so.

Keno and Mion then walked past them and down the ramp, Jake went on with "And the man entering the ring is the Jack of Clubs, the hardcore Keno Anderon. Alongside him is the Queen of Diamonds, the focused Mion Kiaragi. And they will show why they are the best of Las Vegas here tonight!" Jake and Jane walked down alongside Keno and Mion.

Keno entered the ring and lept up the turnbuckle yelling out with "WOOOHOOOO!!!!!!" and grinned like it was the 25th of December already.

Mion shook her head and bowed to the crowd, sometimes she thought her boyfriend could be a bit...childish. But she shook the thought away as she walked to the far corner, with the other members of the Quartet joining them there as they waited for Keno and Mion's opponents....

Following her most recent victory against a newcomer from Friction, Mariko had been notified that her next match would be a tag team match. This was certainly a first for her, and she wasn't told who her partner was. All she was told was that her opponents were experienced and talented as a team. "Well, that certainly gives them an advantage. I just hope they give me a competent partner for this one." she'd said to herself.

The time had eventually come for the match to take place, and Mariko began to stretch in the backstage area as she waited to be cued in by her music. "Where the hell's my partner? This thing better not end up turning into a handicap match…" she said. And almost as if on cue, her mystery partner approached Mariko from behind and tapped her on the shoulder, prompting the the Japanese woman to chuckle as she began to turn around.

"So, you finally decided to-- YAMATO?!" she said, complete shock overtaking her expression as she saw her older brother standing there smiling at her in his yellow and black wrestling gear. She had no idea he had left home and joined the AFW, much less that he of all people would be her tag team partner tonight. "Yo, Mariko! Ready to kick some ass?" he asked casually, as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

Mariko, on the other hand, had too many thoughts running through her head to even think straight. "W-wait! When the hell did you become a wrestler here?! And how-- I mean why--" she began, but Yamato just laughed and pat her on the shoulder. "Hey, we'll talk about all that later. Right now we've got a match to win!" he said. "But…!" Mariko began to object, but suddenly her music began to play through the arena's speakers, immediately drawing Yamato's attention.

"We're up! Lets go!" he shouted happily, before charging out onto the stage. Mariko sighed and slapped her hand against the palm of her face. Confident and energetic as he was, Yamato had little to no wrestling talent. In her mind, him coming to the AFW was a colossal mistake. "Oh god. I just hope he doesn't get himself killed out there…" Taking a deep breath, she forced a smirk and put her game face on before strutting out to join her brother, taking in the crowd's cheers as they made their way down to the ring together.

Yamato quickly went into the ring and climbed up on the middle turnbuckle to pose for the crowd, while Mariko instead just stood in the corner and tried to analyze their opponents. Just by the looks of them she felt confident enough she could likely hang with either of them alone. But together, especially with Yamato as her partner and the fact that the Ishii siblings had never teamed up before, it was already clear this one would be a tough order.

Keno was leaning on the ropes, massaging his leather glove covered fists. An excited grin appearing on the features of the Jack of Clubs, he had yet to have a match in Tension so he was looking forward to getting some action.

Mion on the other hand was taking the time to stretch and size up who she was to fighting alongside her boyfriend, they seemed lively and ready to go. The Queen of Diamonds liked that in her opponents, a fight that she could enjoy.

"Right then, Keno, Mion we shall wait in the back for you. We'll be watching, don't fuck up. This is our chance to make a good impression on the crowd." Jake muttered to the two fighters.

Keno grunted in the yes manner, while Mion simply nodded. Jake and his Sister would then leave the ring, but before the Ace of Spades left he'd turn to look at the Ishii siblings. A crooked grin appearing on his face as he withdrew a pair of cards from his pocket.

"Your fate is in the cards." he said as he flung said cards to them, the cards had the pictures of Mariko and Yamato on them. With Mariko being the eight of spades, and Yamato being the four of clubs. Jake then gave a laugh and exited the ring, making his way backstage with his Sister.

Keno shook his head and muttered to Mion about how he'd go first, the Queen of Diamonds nodded and pecked the Jack of Clubs on the cheek. Keno grinned and cracked his knuckles and said "Sorry about my boss, he's a right drama Queen. The name's Keno and the karate girl is Mion, hope your ready for the best of Las Vegas. Who wants to get knocked down first?" Mion then got into position on the ring apron near the corner.

Mariko simply raised an eyebrow at the two who had accompanied their opponents to the ring as they made their exit, while Yamato seemed much more curious. "Hm? Who were those guys…?" he asked, but Mariko just lightly smacked his arm. "Focus, Yamato. Just worry about those two across the ring." she said. Yamato just nodded.

Keno then introduced himself, and Yamato immediately grinned before stepping forward. "Nice to meet ya! I'm Yamato, and this here's my sister Mariko. And I guess I'll be starting things out on our end. Sound good to you, Mariko?" he said, glancing back over his shoulder at his sister.

From looking at their opponents, Mariko had guessed Keno was the type to rely on brute strength, just like Yamato, while Mion was most likely the quicker of the two. She didn't like the idea of Yamato starting the match out, but at least it would be a contest of strength. Yamato was certainly the smaller of the two men, but at least at first glance, it seemed to be the smarter matchup for him. "Alright." Mariko finally answered with a nod. "Give him hell, Yamato." she said before stepping through the ropes and standing on the apron by her corner.

With Yamato now standing across the ring from Keno, the bell rang to start the match. And interestingly enough, the crowd seemed split. Half would chant "LET'S GO KENO!" and the other half would immediately respond with "YA-MA-TO!" This came as a bit of a surprise to Yamato, especially considering how he'd been destroyed and humiliated in his recent debut. Still, the cheers gave him a bit of confidence, and he grinned as he walked out to the center of the ring.

"Alright! Lets go!" he said, putting a hand up to invite Keno into a test of strength.

Keno was a bit surprised, he wasn't expecting a crowd to be cheering for him in the ring. Perhaps it was all the underground fighting he was doing, the Jack of Clubs smiled as he thought "Guess I'm getting popular, can't let people know I'm a momma's boy though." Keno doubted that his Mom was watching though. Still at least he could ring her up later and tell her what he did.

Yamato offering a test of strength was something the Jack of Clubs wasn't expecting, he was used to just going at his opponent like a rabid dog. But this was a night of firsts, the Las Vegas brawler figured he could humour him. Usually Keno would have just went right for a big boot or shoulder tackle, and then start wailing on them.

"Watch me babe." Keno said giving a quick wink to Mion, he then walked up and gripped Yamato's hands into the test of strength. His leather covered digits cinching in, the Jack of Clubs would put his full upper body strength. Which was to say a lot, granted he had no finesse in this sort of thing. But Keno had power, as many guys in Las Vegas could testify.

"Owwaaaaa....."

The hands of the two combatants had interlocked, and Yamato grunted as he immediately began to push back against Keno in attempt to overpower him and drive him back. The two were close in terms of height, but Keno had the weight advantage between them, which became apparent after a few moments as Yamato was the one whose knee slowly began to descend toward the ground.

"Tch. Guess those muscles aren't just for show after all, huh…" he said. It was clear this wasn't starting out in Yamato's favor, but the stubborn young man wouldn't give up on it just yet. The moment his knee hit the ground he grunted as he attempted to push back up to once again be level with Keno, while also trying to force him down as much as possible.

After a few moments, however much progress he'd made, Yamato would then try to break his hands apart from the test of strength and shoot an arm around Keno's neck to put him in a headlock. If he was successful, he'd then wrench on the headlock as much as possible to try to wear his opponent down here in the opening moments of the match.

Keno had little wrestling know how, but he had watched the odd wrestling match on TV. Even saw it live with Jake when the WWE bothered to stop in Sin City, indeed pretty much every move Keno did was self taught. It had advantages to be sure, being unpredictable for one.

The Jack of Clubs was doing well in this exchange, he had done arm wrestling before. But not tests of strength like this, although it was kinda similar in the mind of Keno.

"Hah, these tattoos aren't just for show." he muttered out as he attempted to overpower Yamato. When his opponent attempted to move back up, Keno moved one foot back to make sure he wasn't forced too back.

Then Keno's opponent forced him into a headlock, earning a grunt of pain from the Jack of Clubs. In Vegas using this move meant you were open for attacks from other people, so Keno's instincts kicked in. The brawler used his free hand to start drilling punches into Yamato's exposed side, hoping to go for the ribs.

The two men seemed to have more in common than they'd realized. Like Keno, Yamato wasn't much of a technical grappler. Growing up with a grappling prodigy like Mariko, however, he'd been put through more holds and tosses than he could count. He'd picked up on some of the more basic ones, but that was about the extent of his capabilities in pure wrestling.

Still, it seemed to be enough to give Yamato a brief edge over his opponent, as he managed to pull Keno into the headlock. But the Jack of Clubs would not be so easily subdued, and began crashing his fist repeatedly into Yamato's side. Wincing and grunting in pain with each hit, the Japanese man tried to keep wrenching on the headlock to make it as painful as possible, but his grip was gradually slipping.

"Hold still, dammit…" Yamato grunted as the punches began bringing his opponent closer and closer to freedom by the moment. If he wanted to stop Keno from turning the situation around in his favor, Yamato knew he had to act quick.

Once he had lost most of his grip, Yamato lunged forward to send a knee toward Keno's stomach, hoping to momentarily wind him. If successful he'd then follow it up by running into the nearest ropes, and bound off of them to send himself right back in Keno's direction as he attempted to take the Jack of Clubs down with a shoulder tackle.

"Not..on your life." Keno muttered out as he was trapped in the headlock, the Jack of Clubs wasn't one to give in easily. He loved to fight, Jake once said he was born in the wrong time period. Keno would be right at home in an ancient battlefield swinging an axe into someone's head, but this was present day times.

The knee strike entered Keno's toned gut before the brawler could have time to react, it forced the Jack of Clubs onto a knee. Earning a wince and grunt as Yamato let go of him, but if there was one thing Keno could do it was tank hits. And sure enough he was getting himself back to a standing position by the time Yamato was bouncing off the ropes, and Keno would be ready for him.

Mr Anderon would bring his right leg up high, hoping to whack Yamato and send him down with a big boot. It wasn't much of a move, but Keno figured it could do in the situation. Where Yamato's motion would move him into the kick.

Feeling his knee connect with Keno's stomach, Yamato felt confident he'd bought the time he needed to pull off his next attack and bring his opponent off his feet. But the Jack of Clubs was ready, and the Japanese man's plan was on course for a backfire.

Yamato came off the ropes and rushed toward Keno, only to receive a face full of his opponent's boot. "Oomph!" Dropping straight to the ground, the momentarily dazed Japanese man rubbed a hand over the spot the boot had slammed into.

Meanwhile, Mariko called out to him over from the corner. "Careful, Yamato! Don't be so obvious when you attack!" Grunting and nodding as he heard his sister's coaching, Yamato shook his head to brush off the cobwebs as he began pulling himself back up off his feet.
