Suzumi Ishikawa vs Chris Morgan

Gasping as Suzumi released her hold, Chris turned to face the Japanese wrestler. The Tsunami had apparently collapsed after being driven into the corner and was rising back to her feet, so Chris took a step back to observe her opponent for a beat.

*That chokehold, things could've gotten really bad if Suzumi had been able to keep that locked in.* the American thought to herself. *I'll have to watch out for her holds...*

As Suzumi got back up, Chris would step back towards the corner, reaching for the hopefully still dazed woman's head to hold her steady with one hand. Then the Californian balled up her other hand into a fist and swung it at the middle Japanese woman's stomach in a forceful body blow that would leave Suzumi doubled over if it struck home. After that, Chris would release Suzumi's head to step to her opponent's side. Wrapping one hand around the other, she would raise her arms over her head before bringing them down on the center of the Tsunami's back, using a double axe handled blow to try drive Suzumi down to her hands and knees on the canvas.

Suzumi was still dazed whens he felt Chris hammer her mid section!

"Ungh!" Was all she could grunt before being hammered in the back with both of Chris's fists! Suzumi hit the mat hard down on her hands and knees.

"Y-you bitch.... you could never out-wrestle anyone so you just pummel them down..." Suzumi said uncharacteristically. Chris Morgan seemed to drag out the nastiest of Suzumi who was normally a bright, bubbly, cheery woman. Part of it was how Suzumi saw Chris as the title hog who killed Wrestle Angels. Really, the bigger part was how Suzumi knew she beat Mikoto and how she couldn't get over the perception of Chris as a big schoolyard bully in her mind.

Her eyes narrowed as the Tsunami spoke. Suzumi talked as if Chris was using some sort of underhanded tactic, instead of two heavy strikes into the torso and back region! In fact, she hadn't even struck Suzumi's face with a closed fist, which was considered savage in the wrestling school she had trained at so long ago.

"Pummeling is a part of what happens once you step between these ropes. If that's something you can't handle, then you should go back to acting!" Chris replied loudly.

Reaching down to grab a hold of the Tsunami's arm to pull her back up, the Californian added much more softly, "Before someone with really bad intentions gets into the ring with you..."

Suzumi felt the sting of her opponents word, due in part to her being self conscious about ring rust. However, the last bit of what she said caught Suzumi off guard.

However, she didn't have much time to dwell as Chris pulled her up by the arm. Suzumi would grab onto one of Chris' s arms and whip her into the ropes! Suzumi set herself up, looking to deliver a hip toss to Chris after she bounced off the ropes and ran back to Suzumi!

Before she could convert her hold on Suzumi's arm into some sort of punishing hold or slam, the Tsunami acted. After having her arm grabbed, Chris was whipped a short distance into the nearby ropes. Then she found that momentum used against her as the Japanese wrestler utilized at hip toss, sending Chris tumbling to the mat.

Still well aware that being taken off her feet was a bad thing, Chris tried to rise, and quickly, for her back was to Suzumi. And that, she knew, could only mean trouble.

Suzumi saw Chris getting up, and knew that to have any shot she had to not only knock her large opponent down but keep her down as well! If she didn't act fast, she would waste a golden opportunity....

Suzumi tried to grab Chris from behind, wrapping her arm around her opponents head, pulling it back. Suzumi would pose for the crowd and try to fall back, dropping Chris down to the mat with a reverse DDT!

Seized from behind, Chris could only flail with an arm for a moment before Suzumi drove the back of her head down against the mat.

"Aagh!" The American gave a brief cry after the Japanese woman's move was completed. Chris would cradle the back of her head with her hands, rolling on to her side as well, as the crowd cheered on the Tsunami.

Suzumi was almost surprised that her reverse DDT went without a hitch! She blew a couple kisses to the crowd to acknowledge their cheers, inciting them further.

Suzumi saw that Chris rolled over onto her side and moved towards her legs. Suzumi moved quickly to seize another opportunity. She maneuvered around, wrapping up her opponents legs and trying to place Chris in a figure-4 leg lock! "The bigger they are, the harder they fall it seems?" Suzumi asked as she moved to set her hold against Chris.

Still cradling her head, Chris missed Suzumi's display to the crowd. However, she was made aware of her opponent's next move.

The Asian grabbed a hold of her legs, spreading them open before stepping through and applying the hold. Chris bolted into a sitting up position as agony coursed through her legs giving a yell of pain. The American didn't have a ready reply to Suzumi's taunt, instead having to yell "No!" at the referee when the woman asked if she was willing to submit.

The crowd also made itself felt yelling and cheering for the Tsunami, demanding that Chris surrender!

Suzumi heard the crowd roar as she continued to keep Chris in the submission hold. Suzumi had to give Chris credit, the woman was gritty. However, Suzumi was in no rush to make that sentiment public.

Suzumi leaned back, keeping her strong, muscular opponent locked into the hold. As Suzumi applied pressure she played to the cheering crowd. "There's no shame in tapping out, and I don't plan on easily letting you off the hook!"

As Chris squirmed in the hold, Suzumi felt a sort of vindication. She was injured and "retired" when Wrestle Angels folded. Being able to stick it to the woman who she held responsible for the fall was the icing on the cake. Still... Suzumi was learning to respect Chris. She wasn't just the lady who got the push, she could back up the push in the ring.... even if Suzumi still thought the push came at the expense of many other deserving wrestlers.
