Taylor spent the long hours that followed her failed title match sitting on a bed in a private room in the medical wing while her mother-in-law, and a nurse, checked on her at intervals. It was embarrassing, she hated it, and each minute of each individual hour that dragged by seemed longer than the one before.
She sat back against the headboard with her legs crossed on the bed and played cards with Junko. They said very little. Junko wouldn't let Taylor watch the match until she'd had time to rest and recover, which Taylor bore with resigned indignation. They played hand after hand until the sound of the cards slapping gently against the small bedside table was too much like the ticking of a clock, and Taylor could stand it no longer.
She tried watching TV. News, game shows, goofy dramas. Nothing she cared about. She began to check if there was any wrestling on, and Junko took the remote away from her. "Well, can we like, find a movie or something?" She pleaded, and the nurse came to check her pupils and whatever else. Junko eventually put something on, but a short time later Taylor lost her patience with it and made her turn it off.
She took her iPod out of her gym bag and put on her headphones. She was so, so tired. She just wanted to sleep for a week. It was her old routine dating back to her early career, where she would get her ass kicked, go home and sleep for two days and be right back at it. She was always quick to heal. She thumbed around her music collection and scowled. So much of it was high-energy punk rock and stuff that she listened to when training, or to psyche herself up. The rest was soft and sentimental touchy-feely stuff that was just too goddamn happy. She needed the most depressing music she could find, slow and heavy and miserable.
She finally put on music and softly nodded along to it with her eyes closed. She lost herself in a sea of atmospheric guitars and tortured vocals, until Junko poked her and yanked her back out of her trance. She did so at intervals, seemingly every time Taylor was really getting into her music. She didn't realize that she nodded herself off to sleep each time, and Junko would wake her up every fifteen minutes. Doctor's orders.
Finally, Taylor jerked awake and her face twisted into a scowl. She yanked off her headphones and violently spiked her iPod on the floor, breaking it. "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" She wailed, and broke down. She covered her face with her hands as heavy sobs shook her body.
"I just want to sleep..." She mewed pitifully, while Junko rubbed her back.
When she was finally released, she didn't immediately return home, and instead went to Junko's house in Tokyo to sleep. She had kept her friends at bay during her stay at the AFW medical center. She felt terrible for keeping Cassie away. She promised Johnny that she just needed a little time to herself, and she'd see him soon. She didn't feel as bad about not seeing Akashi.
Once she was back on her feet, she simply could not bring herself to go home and face the rest of her life. She decided instead to do the only thing that seemed to appeal to her at that moment. She wriggled into a pair of tight jeans and put on a black Rise Against sweatshirt. She had never realized just how many of her shirts were wrestling-related. Many of them were of her own design. She couldn't even open her closet without being reminded of her professional failures.
She laced up her black Doc Martens and left her hair loose, and headed off to a club downtown. She took a seat at the bar and slid the bartender a wad of bills, all the cash she had, totally almost 500,000 Yen, and told him to give her whatever she wanted and keep the rest. She drank, one drink after another, and slowly became numb. She kept her hood pulled down over her head, with just her blonde hair trailing out beneath, and sat with the heels of her boots hooked over the footrest below her stool, hunched over with her hands wrapped around her current drink.
She didn't know how much one had to drink to forget the sting of losing one's dreams, and being beaten and humiliated in front of millions of people, but she intended to find out.

It had been a lousy, terrible week and Natasha was not in any mood to see anyone she knew from the AFW that night, all she wanted to meet was a good drink somewhere. She wasn't much of a beer drinker, she had preferred wine since she was young in the stereotypical french way, but after a few glasses at home she had found wine just wasn't going to do it for her the way she was feeling. She decided to head out but she didn't have any desire to run into someone she knew from the AFW, so there was really only one place that came to mind where she might avoid such encounters.
The bar wasn't as busy as the last time she remembered visiting it but seeing as this was the week day it made sense, unlike in France Japan was a very work focused country where if one did drink during the week it was mostly at sake bars during business functions, not out at a regular bar with poor lighting and the faint smell of cigarette smoke coming from the furniture. Natasha drew a few looks as she stepped through the doors though most of the eyes on her quickly returned to their drinking with only a few lingering more than several seconds before they too turned away.
Natasha was dressed conservatively tonight as what she wanted was the opposite of attention, especially the sort that men who had been drinking would give her if she had worn her usual fare. Instead she had on a white top with no sleeves but also no exposed cleavage, over which she wore a blue sweater that while tight to her body only left her arms bare. She had chosen a pair of black pants with simple shoes to go along with them of the same color, a blue belt around her waist with a silver buckle upon which was etched the Japanese character for rain, though as tight as the pants were the belt was merely decoration. As was her usual Natasha wore her hair loose around her shoulders, her deep blue curls appearing almost black in the low light of the bar but their brilliant blue shone when the light did hit them.
Natasha made her way across the floor to where she remembered the bar itself being and saw just one empty stool that didn't look like someone had spilled their beer, or something worse, on it and so dropped down onto it before waving the bartender over. There was no one but a disgusting stool to her right but to her left sat what she thought was a woman but with their hood pulled down she could only make out the outline of a female figure but no face, she didn't look too closely though and soon focused on the beer placed in front of her.

Taylor had lost track of how many times she had refilled her sakazuki. Conway had already called her out on being un-American, pretending to be Japanese, so she might as well get drunk like a Japanese person. Her eyes felt heavy and slow and she leaned against the bar as her body slowly caved under the weight of her intoxication and misery.
She didn't want company, she thought, though she hadn't thought about why. As someone sat down next to her, she turned to look at her. A huge-busted woman in skin tight clothes and bare shoulders, and blue curls... She stared for a moment before she recognized Natasha.
She snorted, louder than she realized, and rattled her carafe against the bar.she called to the bartender in Japanese, sounding more coarse than usual as her New York accent grappled with her learned Japanese one.

Since coming to Japan there hadn't been many nights where Natasha felt as alone in the country as she did in that moment. She knew the language well and the local customs were ones she had learned at a young age as part of her trips with her father when dealing with over seas, yet despite all that she felt lost in a land that wasn't her own, a foreigner who wasn't wanted with the country doing its best to get rid of her. Looking around the bar only served to remind her how far from home she was, every song nothing was written in french and what little english writing she saw was written as a translation underneath japanese script, every song playing in the background was unfamiliar to her, and it didn't matter where she looked she had yet to find french cuisine.
Natasha couldn't remember ever feeling as homesick as she did that night but she knew those feelings were just a by product of what was truly bothering her, and it had everything to do with a german woman and another from Japan. She couldn't believe that Azami would fall under Lukretia's influence so quickly but what she had seen at her apartment was clear proof of that, the very image of the two standing together angering her more than even she realized.
It used to be she would have gone home and Heather would have been there to comfort her, to make her see the truth her feelings obscured, but she had pushed her away and all that waited for her at home was a large empty house. Natasha had turned to Azami and Janet to help fill the void but they had each other and even when they were all together Natasha felt like she was intruding somewhere she really didn't belong. But now that felt lost to her as well leaving Natasha with but one choice and that was to look for some solace in forgetting through drink.
The figure beside her distracted Natasha from her thoughts, of which she was grateful for, when they banged their carafe against the counter and asked for more in Japanese. She was now certain it was a woman and from the look on the bartender's face she got the impression she had been drinking for at least a short while already. It took her a moment to realize that the voice was familiar though something was off about it, Natasha leaning over the counter trying to get a better look at the face underneath.

Taylor glanced over at Natasha's inquiring eyes and snorted again. "See somethin' ya like?" She grumbled, and poured another cup of sake. She lifted it, and paused with it halfway to her lips.
"What's up, Natasha?" She glanced at the girl again, briefly. "You're probably feelin' pretty good right now, huh?" She drank half of the sake and rolled the rest around the broad rim of the cup while her stomach smoldered warmly. "I don't think I'm better than anybody," she slurred.
Postby daemongirl on Sun Sep 21, 2014 10:53 pm
Natasha had intended to be discreet in trying to peek underneath that hood but quickly learned she was being anything but as the woman turned to her and called her out on it, but at least she had discovered the stranger's identity for her efforts. Taylor definitely did not look like her usual self, gone were the swagger and the self confidence she had always associated with her, and in their stead far darker thoughts had taken root. Natasha leaned back onto her stool and tried to say something in answer to Taylor but no words came to mind, instead she simply sat silent as Taylor poured a cup of sake down her throat that Natasha could tell wasn't the first or even the third she had consumed.
"Good? News flash you aren't the only one having a rough week." Natasha said rather harshly as she didn't like the insinuation that she would be pleased over someone losing their dream match, even if that someone had all but declared herself superior to her. "Besides...its not like you were beaten by a hentai wrestler. You lost to the world champion, theres far worse things than losing to the so called best in the AFW." Natasha said in a softer tone than before, some of her normal compassion returning to her voice as she then took another long drink from her beer.

"Well then," Taylor said, elbows on the bar and head bowed in seemingly unending defeat. "I'm dying to hear about your bad day."
She started to reach for her bottle of sake, if only to give her hands something to do, but she didn't have the heart to pour another round. She had quite a lot in her already, especially as someone that only drank on very special occasions. The room was woozy and unsteady, like the club was in a boat that had made it's way to open seas around her fifth cup of sake.
"Did somebody rub your clit until you felt really good before you could make them feel really good?" She asked dryly. "Shit. My deepest... something..." Not apologies. Sympa... Con... whatever. It wasn't worth the effort to think of the word.

Natasha didn't need any hint to know that Taylor was mocking her as with the american it was never hard to tell for she was never what one would call subtle. The woman had made no secret of her distaste and lack of respect for the kind of matches Natasha was willing and often happy to take part in, or her dismissal of Natasha as any sort of physical threat, and as one would expect alcohol hadn't numbed her tongue as it had her body. She had a retort on the tip of her tongue but she held it back and bit her bottom lip instead, not letting herself get dragged into an argument with a drunk woman though she did take another drink herself.
"I think you're trying to say deepest sympathy, though the sarcasm sort of ruins the sentiment." Natasha answered while sloshing the beer around the interior of the bottle in her hand, the barkeep taking it as a sign to place another in front of her to which she had no complaints. She downed what remained of the first and placed it aside before lifting the second to her lips for another long drink, suddenly feeling far more like drinking than she had when she walked in.
"Not that you care but my day involves a certain german woman wrapping a friend of mine around her little finger, and how I can't seem to do anything to stop it." Natasha didn't so much as glance at Taylor then but instead kept her eyes fixated upon the beer in her hand.
Postby Bluemouse on Mon Sep 22, 2014 5:20 pm
"Ha," Taylor laughed bitterly. "Yeah, someone should tell her Luk's a bitch."
She didn't need Natasha to spell it out for her. What other German woman in AFW would pose that kind of a problem?
Taylor rolled the last drop of sake around the rim of her wide sake cup. Of all the people she could've run into, Natasha wasn't her first choice. The girl's panties were still knotted from whatever perceived slight from years past, and it seemed like every word she said was either about how she was better than everyone and so upset that people didn't realize that, or boo-hoo my life. It was oddly fitting, given Taylor's current state.
The last time she had seen Natasha, Taylor was down in the dumps. Before that, she was at the club and on top of the world. Today seemed like the next step in that downward spiral.
"Yeah, I'm not really feelin' very talkative, man..."
Postby daemongirl on Tue Sep 23, 2014 8:50 pm
Natasha had never gotten along with Taylor though it wasn't as if she had been given many opportunities over the last couple years to do so. She vaguely remembered the woman saying something that irked her during their first meeting and then a year later she ran into her in this very club, where she saw a different side to Taylor that she felt she could like.
That feeling had grown stronger when she ran into her again outside a particular ramen shop she had been wanting to try, the two just laying everything out there and in the process Natasha had allowed herself to let go of most of her negative feelings towards her, only for Taylor to ruin that goodwill by declaring that she was superior to Natasha, along with all hentai wrestlers, during an interview for Summer Splash.
At least they agreed on Lukretia she thought to herself while Taylor laughed, Natasha glancing sideways at the woman while drinking once more from her second beer. "I tried, didn't go so well." She replied simply, watching as Taylor toyed with the last drop of sake in her cup.
"I kind of figured that given where you are, I'm guessing you avoided Cassie and Akashi and snuck down here all alone to drink away your pain, am I right?" She said while motioning for the bartender to bring her a bottle of sake and a cup like the one Taylor had, figuring she might as well join her in choice of drink. "Look we've never been the best of friends or anything, but I'm here, talk to me, or just drink until you pass out its your choice."

Taylor raised her eyebrows and nodded, peering at Natasha out of the corner of her eye. She put the sake down for the time being. She'd had enough already, but she didn't come looking for "enough". She came for way to goddamn much.
She muttered something incomprehensible under her breath, not quite words, and pulled back the hood of her sweatshirt to free her long, golden-blonde hair. She tossed it with her fingers to get it unstuck from the neck of the sweatshirt. Her right eye, mostly covered by her long bangs, was thoroughly blackened. Any number of kicks she had taken the other night could've done it.
"Do you know why it hurts so much? I mean like, what happened to me the other day. Do you know why it sucks so fucking much?"
Postby daemongirl on Tue Sep 23, 2014 9:33 pm
Natasha had seen the match of course, she doubted anyone in the AFW hadn't tuned in to watch at least part of such a big event, and while she knew Taylor had taken a beaten both during and after the match with Angel she hadn't seen the end result until just now. Looking at her it was as if she could feel her own eye starting to swell up in empathy, Natasha having to restrain herself from staring too deeply at the injury and force her eyes to look at the rest of her face instead.
Fortunately the arrival of her sake provided a reason for Natasha to look away, pouring herself a cup full of the alcohol before she drank deeply from it, feeling the warmth spreading through her body almost immediately upon it hitting her throat. She wanted to reach out and comfort Taylor, though she wasn't sure exactly why she felt as such given their history, but at the very least she could listen. Sometimes that was all one needed to find a way past what was holding them down at the time.
Natasha turned back to face Taylor and slid the bottle of sake halfway between them just in case Taylor felt like she needed another drink, though she hoped if she did it wouldn't push her past her limits. "I could take a guess but I'd rather you tell me, I think its what you need right now."
Postby Bluemouse on Tue Sep 23, 2014 10:32 pm
Taylor snorted again, and shook her head. Whatever.
She leaned against the bar toward Natasha, like she was going to tell her a secret. "In the gym, you train your body so it can do what you want. You prepare your head so that you don't have to think about what you want to do. And then by the time you get to the ring, it's all heart. Fighting, like, really good fights, come from the heart."
She leaned back and regarded Natasha like she expected her to have some kind of reaction. She spoke each word deliberately, and tried her best not to slur despite her inebriated state. "And when you're in there," She said, looking at her fingertips while she drew little circles in the air in front of her. "You just say 'fuck yes I'm gonna win. I'll do whatever it takes'. And then..." She slapped her hands down on the bar.
She wagged a finger at Natasha. "But it's not about failing," she slurred. "It's 'cause people wanted me to. Angel did. Probably you, too. Kelly. I dunno, man, but I put it all out there and nothing came back. And Kelly beat up my mom and she hurt my neck... I gotta bad concussion, and I was in the hospital. Like... What the fuck is that about? Ya know?"
Her voice squeezed by the end as she choked up. She waved a hand in the air at Natasha and shook her head, but couldn't come up with anything else to say.
Postby daemongirl on Wed Sep 24, 2014 9:45 pm
Natasha leaned in as Taylor did and felt her heart quicken in response, unsure if she was about to hear what was truly troubling her or if Taylor was just leading her on for some sort of amusement for her. Instead Taylor began to speak about training and for a moment Natasha thought she was about make some claim that only she knew of such for Natasha couldn't possibly know what hard training was, but thankfully that wasn't the case and Taylor leaned away during a pause in their conversation, Natasha drinking from her cup of sake while her eyes studied the woman's face looking for some sign of what was she was feeling. But whether she was just good at disguising what she was thinking or if the sake had numbed her to that extent she wasn't sure.
"I know what you mean, one of the first things drilled into me was its all about repetition, repeating a move over and over until your muscles remember how to do it without you even thinking." Natasha said softly, unsure if it was what Taylor wanted to hear or if she had just blundered with her.
She was following right along with Taylor, nodding where she felt appropriate, until Taylor slapped her hands against the bar with some of her sake spilling out of her cup in the process. Natasha leaned back, her eyes wide in surprise as she looked first to her hands and then back to Taylor's face. And then Taylor let slip what was truly digging at her, Natasha averting her gaze as she was brought up as one of those seeking Taylor to fail, but only for a few seconds before she turned back to face her. Taylor had just left herself bare to Natasha, the sound of her voice at the end all the proof she needed of that, now she just had to figure out what to say.
"Taylor let me just ask did you give it everything you had?" Natasha said while locking her eyes with Taylor's, not even blinking as she held the woman's gaze. "Because if you did you have nothing to feel ashamed of, you tried, you failed, but now you know it will take just a little more than you had this time. If this meant anything it was as a test for you and no you didn't fail by losing, but you will fail if you let yourself just give up because of one loss. As for Kelly...just kick her ass and teach her never to fuck with you again, seems the best way to deal with someone like her. Or let me do it, never have liked that bitch myself." Natasha was completely serious as she spoke and once done she drank directly from the bottle of sake, suddenly feeling far thirstier than she had moments ago.
Postby Bluemouse on Wed Sep 24, 2014 10:10 pm
Taylor leaned farther and farther forward as Natasha spoke until her forehead clonked against the bar. She closed her eyes, but listened. She felt like melting into the bottom of a glass like an ice cube for the bartender to dump down the drain. She'd be happier in a drain. There was no Angel there to be smug and call her chica.
"I knooow, I knooow..." She moaned quietly. "Tonight I just wish I could drop dead. But tomorrow, I'll be hung over as shit when I wake up at the crack of dawn, and I'll be right back in the gym, working my ass off." She lifted her head off the bar and folded her arms on it instead. "This is what I do, and I can't stop. But..."
She sat upright and arched her back, stretched her neck to each side. When that didn't do the trick, she slid off her stool and got to her feet, keeping one hand on the seat for balance. "I tried, but I didn't do anything I was supposed to. Everything me and mom talked about, I didn't do. And my dad... I dedicated the whole giant fucking failure to my dad, man, and like... it's kinda fitting, 'cause he was, like... he wasn't..." She could only shake her head.
"It was supposed to be my big moment, and I ruined everything. I wish I could crawl in a hole and die. But... Kelly went after my mom." She turned her deep-blue glare on Natasha. "And I'll kill her. I'll do it by the rules so that no one can make me stop."
Postby daemongirl on Wed Sep 24, 2014 10:44 pm
Natasha was soon staring at the back of Taylor's head but that didn't keep her from speaking what was on her mind, hoping that Taylor was at least listening to her as she tied to break through that shell of despair she had wrapped herself in. There was silence between them for several seconds and Natasha had just begun to question whether or not Taylor had actually passed out when she heard her speak up, Natasha sighing in relief as she pushed herself up off the counter.
"Thats good to hear, you wouldn't be the same Taylor if you weren't." She said while lifting the sake bottle back to her lips only to pause when she realized Taylor was no longer content to just sit there, the woman stumbling to her feet while using the stool for balance. Natasha put her bottle down and rose as well, ready to reach out and steady Taylor should the woman begin to tilt at any moment. The woman mentioned her dad and there Natasha was at a loss, she wasn't aware of Taylor's feelings towards him nor if he was even still with them.
As Taylor steered the conversation back towards her failure in the ring however Natasha knew what to say. "You ruined nothing, you were just wrong on it being your big moment when the truth is it hasn't come yet, but it will." Natasha spoke as calmly as she could to reassure her, reaching out tentatively with her right hand to hold Taylor by the shoulder hoping she didn't turn away from her for trying to show solidarity. "Just don't do anything with Kelly you will regret, kick her ass of course, she needs it...but don't let yourself turn into her."
Postby Bluemouse on Wed Sep 24, 2014 10:57 pm
Taylor nodded silently, her shoulders slumped. She pulled a sleeve of her sweatshirt down over her hand and used it to wipe at her eyes. She blinked several times and widened her eyes to clear away the gloom that had clouded them over.
"Thanks," she said. "I just wanted it really bad, that's all. I'm gonna get it, sooner or later. I know I will. Do you think I can?" She raised an eyebrow at the blue-haired Frenchwoman, and then shook her head. "Don't answer that."
She sat back down and poured another cup of sake. She was still set on drinking herself to death tonight, but she didn't immediately bring the cup to her lips. "So like... what's up with you? Your girl's all cool with Lukretia? Not for nothin', but I'm glad I'm not hentai b'cause I think Luk gives you guys some extra attention, knowwhatamean?"
Postby daemongirl on Wed Sep 24, 2014 11:19 pm
Never would she have thought it but Natasha felt a warmth spread through her when she saw Taylor wiping away her tears and nodding in answer to her words, relieved that she had against all odds managed to get through to Taylor despite their history together. She felt compelled to outstretch her arms and pull Taylor in for a warm embrace but she stopped herself before her arms had moved even an inch, telling herself one hand upon her shoulder was about all the physical contact Taylor could likely stand from her.
Taylor then asked her a question but cut her off just as Natasha opened her lips to answer it, the french woman still standing behind her while Taylor returned to her stool and poured herself yet another cup of sake. She wasn't sure more alcohol was what she needed but she wasn't her mother nor even her friend really, she was just a coworker Taylor had happened to run into and by that logic had no right to stop her.
She would sit as well but first there was something else she wanted to say to her. "You asked me a question Taylor...and the answer is yes." She said while wanting to say more, only the words wouldn't come to her and in the end she left it there and then sat down back beside Taylor, drinking right along with her while Taylor asked about her. She had forgotten her own troubles while trying to help Taylor but now they came rushing back in, and in answer Natasha took a rather long drink from her bottle of sake.
"Its complicated...but I went over because if I use my contract I have to fight my friend for the hentai title...and I wanted to see where she stood on the matter." Natasha's voice trailed off there at the end but another quick swig of sake her finding her voice again. "But what I found was Lukretia working a spell over her and maybe I'm paranoid but Lukretia never does anything just to help someone, she always expects a return and thats what scares me."
Postby Bluemouse on Wed Sep 24, 2014 11:28 pm
Taylor shrugged, and downed her sake. "I dunno, man. Me and Luk have some history. She's never been like that with me, 'n junk." She leaned her cheek heavily against her palm and sighed. It was hard work drinking yourself into oblivion. "I don't think she can do magic. Just ask your girl what's up, and like, try not to freak out, ya know? Don't make it something it's not, or..."
She paused. The room was beginning to spin. She hated that feeling. She was well past the fun part of drunk, and as someone who effectively didn't drink, she wasn't practiced enough to handle herself while this far in the bag. "Ugh..." She groaned, and shook her head. "Me 'n Bug talk about everything. I don't have aaaaaaany secrets. And it works, 'cause we're both still alive, and I looooove hiiiiiiim sooooooooooooo much... Mmmmm..." She leaned her head back and dreamily closed her eyes. She looked as if she might just fall asleep.
Postby daemongirl on Wed Sep 24, 2014 11:54 pm
Natasha was taken aback that Taylor didn't have anything to say after hearing Natasha admit she thought she could win against Angel, it had taken a lot for her to say that but Taylor either hadn't heard it or she took it in stride. She kept waiting for her to say something on the matter but when Taylor finally did speak it was on Lukretia, almost sounding like she was defending the woman who she had always considered what was wrong with AFW. She bit her lip though and decided not to press her on why she felt the need to defend her, it just wasn't an argument she was willing to have in that moment.
"Lukretia has never once done anything but get in my way...and I know her type, at the end of the day if something doesn't serve her interests she will either cut them loose or find a way to make them. Its that last part I'm worried about." Natasha said while reaching for her sake only to find the bottle was empty. "I'm just worried for her is all..." She said while thinking about ordering another but then figured she had best pace herself otherwise she might end up like Taylor was now, she already felt halfway there if the warmth in her skin was any indicator.
Without much of a warning Taylor then started acting as drunk as the empty bottle of sake in front of her would suggest. She wasn't sure who she was talking about all of a sudden but when she mentioned loving him she figured it was her husband, though she had no idea why she had brought him up out of nowhere. "Taylor are you alright?" She asked while leaning over and looking into the closed eyes of Taylor, worried she was about to fall out of her chair.

Re: Trashed
Akashi was pretty sure she had left a billion messages on Taylor's phone. After the match, she had gone to see Taylor in the infirmary but she wasn't receiving guests. Akashi knew that was a load of bull but she didn't know WHY until she had seen the extra footage. When Kelly decided to show up like the vulture she was an pick at her sister and Taylor's mother-in-law.
When she saw that, she could figure out pretty quickly why Taylor wasn't interested in taking her calls. Akashi had felt like shit. She had gone to wag her finger at Angel and she had done it but then, right while Taylor was getting massacred, her and Angel were having a drink and then having a shower. Akashi didn't realize she was now supposed to stand at the stage entrance during the matches and wait until she met up with Taylor made her way to the entrance. She shouldn't HAVE to but psychotic bitches like Kelly roamed around AFW. She'd have something for Kelly, that was for sure.
In the meantime, she just wanted to get drunk so she stopped feeling like shit. Her and Taylor could figure things out but in the meantime, she pushed her way towards the bar in the club. She'd be there for a while. However, when she approached she saw a head of familiar looking blue hair talking to a girl in a hoodie that looked to be stumbling around.
She could recognize Natasha at first and really didn't want to approach but when she realized she was talking to Taylor, Akash's eyes widened a bit. She pushed the rest of the way tot he bar and stood in front of both of them, dressed in a tight fitting shirt with a chibi Sumo wrestler on it and pants that were equally snug on her big body. Her hair had been pushed into a sloppy mound that was held together by chopsticks. She just wanted to get drunk and getting all Tokugawa Shogunate on everyone wasn't going to work.
"Natasha-chan?" She called out, just hoping they could turn to look at her. "Imouto... chan?" She said, turning her head to peek at Taylor. It sort of looked like Taylor. It seemed like she might need that drink sooner rather than later and it also seemed like it was going to be a long time before she got it.

"I'm fine," Taylor straightened up in her chair and blinked her eyes open. "And that's what Lukretia does, man, she-"
She was stopped short by a voice behind her. "Natasha-chan?" She of course recognized her honorary sister's voice right away, even through the sake-induced haze. The serendipity of the encounter was almost nauseating.
"Hey, stranger," she said evenly, without specifically looking at the sumo. There was some unmistakable tension between them. She took the neck of her sake bottle between her first two fingers and held it out toward Akashi. "Sake?"
Postby Tatyina on Thu Sep 25, 2014 12:31 am
Akashi turned her head at Taylor's words. All she needed was to hear the voice and she knew for certain. Her cheeks flushed at Taylor's words. "Stranger..." She muttered and then snatched away the bottle. "Obviously." She said and threw it back with one gulp and set it down on the bar and eyed the bartender silently. 'Keep them coming.'
Akashi then turned and looked at Natasha. "I don't know if you two were meeting up but, I'll handle Taylor-san from this point." She said to the blue haired girl. "Thank you for looking after her and I'm sorry we couldn't talk." Akashi urged Natasha in a polite but terse tone as she lowered her head.
Postby daemongirl on Thu Sep 25, 2014 12:48 am
Natasha was waiting for Taylor to either open her eyes and ask why Natasha was so close all of a sudden or for her to simply fall over after passing out, the french woman not really sure which was more likely at this point. Taylor began to stir, insisting she was fine of course but just as she was about to say more on Lukretia, something Natasha was eager to hear given how well Taylor knew the german, a third party arrived to interrupt. Natasha recognized the voice at once but she didn't believe who it was until she glanced up to find Akashi had indeed managed to track Taylor down, or at least thats what she thought at first. Given the surprise in her voice however Natasha realized them running into each other was a coincidence, one that made it seem like fate had a sense of humor.
"Yes its me Akashi, long time no see." She said as she stood up to the side of Taylor just as the woman handed the sake bottle to Akashi, the larger woman drinking the remainder in record time before plopping it back down on the counter. Natasha could feel the tension between the two despite how out of it Taylor seemed, though now that she looked down at her it seemed the sumo's voice had roused her somewhat. Akashi would then essentially demand that Natasha leave them be, for while her words weren't threatening the tone told her it was as good as the woman demanding she take her leave from them. On one hand it felt a bit insulting to be pushed aside after she had been here for Taylor, but the two were as close as sisters from what she knew and if she wanted privacy she couldn't refuse her.
"No we just sort of ran into each here and got to talking. And if you're really sorry don't be such a stranger, but for now I leave her in your capable hands." Natasha said with a slight bow of her head to Akashi before turning back to Taylor. "Make sure to kick both of their asses now and next we meet I expect a belt around your waist. Take care Taylor." Her first sentence was stern in tone but her final three words were soft, genuine concern in the woman's voice as she then turned to leave.

"Hey, catch ya later, Natasha. Kashi and me have some catching up to do, ya know." Taylor waved to the departing bluenette, and then turned her attention back to the bar.
"So what's new, Kashi? How's life?" She spoke the words flatly, as if reciting them. They were only questions on the surface. They might as well have been declarations.
She lifted the sake bottle to pour another round, but remembered it was empty. She shook it once, and then put it back. Soon, the bartender brought another, and she poured a cup for Akashi, and then herself. She picked up her cup daintily in the clumsy fingers of her right hand and supported it underneath with her left. "Kanpai," she said, and threw back the drink. That one burned as it went down, a little more than the last one. The sickly dizzy feeling was getting to be a problem.
Postby Tatyina on Thu Sep 25, 2014 1:08 am
"Sayonara." Akashi said as Natasha left and then turned back to look at Taylor as she struggled with the sake bottle and asked meaningless questions. Akashi watched as Taylor took the shot and followed suit. Her cheeks were already red but no matter how much she drank, she doubted she'd get to the point Taylor was. When Taylor set her sake bottle down, Akashi reached out and grabbed Taylor's wrist.
"The rest... are for me, Imouto-chan." She said sternly. She then poured herself another shot and gulped it down with one hand. "I have a lot of catching up to do."
She turned her head and silently stared at the bar, avoiding looking like Taylor. She just held onto Taylor's wrist, holding it in place until she slowly loosened her grip and slipped her hand until her palm rested on Taylor's.
'Imouto-chan..." She said softly.
Postby Bluemouse on Thu Sep 25, 2014 5:10 am
"Whatever, man," Taylor grumbled. As if Akashi could stop her if she wanted more to drink. Which she didn't. She felt like she was going to be sick.
"So you gonna say somethin', or what?" She slurred, and her eyes found their way over to the sumo. "What do you wanna talk about? How 'bout your list. You just lemme know when you wanna take a crack at New York, okay, Porkpie?" She snorted, and then muttered "Fuckin' bullshit."
Postby Tatyina on Thu Sep 25, 2014 9:23 am
"Nnn..."
Akashi groaned at Taylor's words. However, instead of responding, her fingers curled around Taylor's hand and squeezed it gently. Akashi poured herself another shot and then sighed.
"Why would I make a crack about New York?" The sumo huffed. "I don't hate New York. I don't hate America. I love America. If only because you're from there. What I'm doing in the ring is... complicated and personal. It really has more to do with me being Japanese than anyone else being American. We're... a complicated and silly people."
Akashi motioned for the bartender to bring more sake.
Postby Bluemouse on Thu Sep 25, 2014 10:32 am
Taylor rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but its about me being American, too. What am I gonna do if you call out all the American girls and I'm right there? If I side with you in a fuckin'... Faggot, and if I side with them then I'm a fuckin' faggot. I'm not a bad friend, Kashi. I'd die for you. But you're going after my HOME." She turned a glassy eyed glare on her. "Understand? Japanese people are the only ones with fuckin' honor, bro."
Postby Tatyina on Thu Sep 25, 2014 11:48 am
"I'm not calling out all American girls, oto. Have you listened to the things I've said? Besides, you're not a faggot." Akashi furrowed her brow. "I understand the position you're in. I won't blame you for any position you take." Akashi took and hard shot of sake.
"But do you understand the position I'm in? I have to do this, Taylor-chan. And whether you believe it or not, I'm defending your honor as much as I'm defending mine."
Akashi squeezed Taylor's hand and looks at the haggard blonde. "You're one of the good ones, Taylor-chan, and I can't bear to see hoebags like Kelly Conway give America a bad name." Akashi lowered her head. "I've never asked you for much of anything, Taylor-chan. When it comes to being Japanese, to invite someone else into our lives who knows nothing of our culture can put a terrible strain on us. I've never asked you to adapt to my country's ways. I never will. I'd never want you to change. I love you exactly as you are. Just, please, this time please at least try to understand my position. If you can understand it, then any action you take, even if you still feel you must stop me, then I will understand and accept."
Akashi lowered her head. "I love you with all my heart, Taylor-chan. You know I'd never do anything to hurt you."
Akashi lowered her head, letting it think on the bar. Unexpectedly, tears began to drip from the corner of her eyes.

Re: Trashed
by Bluemouse on Thu Sep 25, 2014 12:07 pm
Taylor had a hard time understanding Akashi's convoluted Japanese nonsense when she was sober. It was impossible when she was drunk. She furrowed her brow in a futile effort to grasp it.
"Goddammit, Kashi," She said, as tears flooded to her eyes as well. "You can't just make me cry when I'm drunk. Fuckin'... Worse than drunk. Fuckin' trashed."
put a hand on Akashi's sizable shoulder and leaned against her. "I love you too, you know that. And I don't understand. I'm dumb. Natasha's really smart, and Adrian... But you can be really stupid sometimes, Kashi, and you really dumb things, and so do I, but I don't ever want to not be on your side. I always want to have your back." Her voice shrank pathetically and was slowly overwhelmed by her tears. "And I don't want anyone to think that I need you to protect me or anything like that, but the other day when that stuff happened I really just needed you. I needed a friend, and you weren't there, and I think I know why, Kashi, and... It really hurts.
Postby Tatyina on Thu Sep 25, 2014 1:09 pm
Akashi buried her face in shame when Taylor spoke and the stream of tears turned into a blubbering sob.after a long moment, she lifted her head and looked at Taylor. "Oh, i-imouto-chan, I'm so sorry! I didn't even SEE it until later! You know I would have been down there in an instant but..."
Akashi bit her lip. "Nnnnn..."
"I know you might not accept this but... I ... was with Te-Angel-san. B-but! I went there to yell at her. And I did!" She scrambled. "I was furious that she would bring up my name in your match. That's why I didn't say anything to you about her. It was your match and your night. I wanted you to do it without having to be on your mind. And then she brought it up and... it wasn't right!"
Akashi groaned and slumped against the bar. "I thought I was sticking up for you but I was just leaving you open for vultures. My own baka feelings caused me to betray the most important person in my life. I don't know how to apologize to you enough!"
She turned and looked at Taylor. "But I'll try! I'm going to call out Conway-san and murder her!" She growled. The look in her eye said she might not be exaggerating.
Postby Bluemouse on Thu Sep 25, 2014 1:52 pm
Taylor could hardly just be mad at Akashi when she was like this, but she wasn't done. She leaned against the bar and away from Akashi to give her room to talk.
"Kashi, I don't want you to feel like my bodyguard. I can take care of myself. But you're my sister, or supposed to be, and I want you to, like... Be there. You've had the title, you know how big a deal it is, and I'm gonna get it but I just want you to want to be there with me while I do."
Her face clouded over as she continued. "And Kashi... You know that there's only one girl in the whole world I'm worried about, and that's Angel. I'll tear Conway in half and not break a sweat. Fuck her. And who did you hook up with?" She turned an accusatory look at Akashi. "I'm going to massacre your girlfriend, and I won't be able to have a clear head when I do, because you can't help yourself. You're really fucking with my head right now, Kashi, and I don't know what to do about it."
Postby Tatyina on Thu Sep 25, 2014 2:15 pm
"I don't! And, I do! I want to be there at your side when you win the title! I want to see your face and be next to you when you hold the belt up high!"
Akashi furrowed her brow and pouted at Taylor's words. "She's a big girl. If you kick her ass, you kick her ass. She knows how I feel and she knows how much you mean to me. At least, I thought." Akashi huffed. She clenched her fist and pounded her fist.
"Do you think I like being in this position? My heart and my feelings... I'm a Baka! Baka! Baka! Baka!"
Akashi turned and grabbed Taylor's cheeks with both her hands. She pressed her forehead against Taylor's and stared into her eyes. "Kick her ass, imouto-chan. Win the title and only think about winning the title.I want you to beat her down and take her belt. If Tenshi-chan and I can't survive because of the match, then it wasn't meant to be because as much as I want someone I can be with, it's not worth the cost of a sister."
by Bluemouse on Thu Sep 25, 2014 9:41 pm
Taylor nodded, and let her tears linger on her eyelids. "That's all you had to say, Porkchop," she said, her voice breaking but with a laugh behind it. "'I'll kick her ass so hard I'll make you cry."
She felt better. Not completely, there were still issues between the two of them, but she felt more like she had her sister back. The two of them had not had much time to give the other lately. They were both very busy, they each had their separate lives and careers. They lived in different cities, though Taylor was often in Tokyo. It was good to be able to talk things out.
"I'll always be your sister, Kashi," Taylor said. A sense of calm had settled over her, due in part to her BAC. She wiped her eyes and put an arm around Akashi. "Maybe I'll kick your ass sometime, but I've always got your back. Okay? I want us to do great stuff together."
She hefted herself off of her stool, leaning heavily on Akashi for balance. "Like, find the bathroom. I gotta pee, and my head is..." Still a little hazy from the concussion. She had some trouble remembering things still, in this case the location of the bathroom. "And then maybe I should call it a night. Gotta wake up and train tomorrow 'n junk."
Postby Tatyina on Thu Sep 25, 2014 10:09 pm
Akashi smiled and nodded. "H-Hai, Imouto-chan." Akashi said and hugged Taylor. "As long as we're number one and number two, we can just beat each other up until neither of cares which one of us is which." She said, smiling. She meant it too. Akashi was determined to be the best wrestler AFW had ever or will ever see but Taylor seemed to have similar goals. And while most might think that would set them apart, Akashi knew they could achieve a lot more together than separately.
"Me too, Imouto-chan. We're together forever, you don't have to worry about that."
"Come on, let's go." She said and hugged Taylor against her as she helped Taylor to the bathroom. "You should stay at my place tonight, Taylor-chan."

Upon arriving at Akashi's house, which she shared with Cassie Elliot, Taylor braced herself for the first step through the door. She had shut out her friends, and even her husband, for three days following a traumatic loss, and a beating at the hands of Kelly Conway. She knew what she had been doing to them by keeping them away and not allowing anyone to help, and she had to own up to it.
The ride to the house had helped sober her, if only a little, though now she felt heavy and her head was pounding. She pushed through the door, with an apology already ready to go.
"Hey, Bear? I-"
Before she could finish the sentence, Cassie's arms were around her and holding her tight, with the girl's messy red head buried in her shoulder. She tried once to keep going, but closed her mouth again without a word. She nodded, closed her eyes, and then just like clockwork Cassie said:
"Everything will be okay, Taylor." Just like she always had. It was too much to bear, and for the billionth time that night, Taylor broke down and sobbed.
"I'm a bad friend. I suck. I'm sorry."
"You're my best friend," Cassie said, with a finality that told Taylor that was all she wanted to hear on the subject.
Cassie stuck Taylor on the couch and went off to the kitchen to get water and something to snack on. Taylor collapsed onto the couch face down and groaned. She could not for the life of her recall how it had seemed like a good idea to drink herself to death.
But then, of course, she remembered the match. The initial sting of failure had softened somewhat, and given way to the question "what did I do wrong?"
"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck," she moaned into the couch.
Postby Tatyina on Fri Sep 26, 2014 12:06 pm
Akashi had not gotten completely blitzed off her ass like Taylor had. Once the two of them patched things up, Akashi settled down on the alcohol. Now they were back at her place and when they got in, Akashi left Taylor in Cassie's capable hands and stumbled off to the guest room to start dragging out the futon.
It was a little tough while she was drunk but she'd done it so often that she could do it in her sleep... or intoxicated. Once she got everything in order, she came back to the living room. "Ooook, your bed's ready, Taylor-chan." She said, swaying against the door frame a bit. "Why don't we all sleep together tonight? It'll be fun!" She said with a wide, glassy-eyed grin. "It's been a while since we've snuggled, Imouto-chan." Akashi said furrowing her brow. "Now that you've got Johnny,... a-and Cassie always thinks I'm going to grope her!"
Akashi shook her head. "You can't have boobs like that and not expect a little friendly touching! It's just not faaaaiir! A-Anyway, I'll be good, I promise. It's just been a while since we've had a nice girl's sleepover."
Postby Bluemouse on Sat Sep 27, 2014 12:33 am
"Haaaaaaaaaa..." Taylor laughed. "The only D's Cassie ever got are in her bra." She laughed some more.
Cassie appeared with a glass of water for Taylor and a bowl of idiosyncratically Japanese snack crackers. "You guys always talk about my boobs," she remarked.
"We talk about all our boobs," Taylor corrected.
"That's a good idea, though, Akashi. I can get extra blankets and things so we can spread out. The futon, uh... isn't that big."
She put the bowl down on the table, and as Taylor watched, some part of her drunk brain noticed how even that motion was so characteristically Cassie. No one else put a bowl on a table quite like Cassie. She held it in both hands, carefully, like it was full of baby birds. She didn't just lean down to one side to put it down. Instead, she faced the table, feet together, knees almost touching as she bent down to place it deliberately on the table. Taylor could see how intentional Cassie's movements could be, as if she had studied the technique of just being a person and had perfected it, but also she saw a kind of care in the things she did, that spoke of the affection that Cassie had for the world. She was glad to have her as a friend.
And she was really fucking drunk. "Uuughh..." She groaned.
"Akashi, do you want to get settled in with Taylor while I get some extra things? I can even show you guys what Bucky's been up to."
Postby Tatyina on Sat Sep 27, 2014 2:57 am
"Oh I do love boobs." Akashi said, grinning. "And you have great ones! You should talk about them with us more!" She teased and looked at Taylor as Cassie scampered off. "Hai." She said and looked at Taylor.
"Come on, Imouto-chan. Let's get to the bed. Akashi took Taylor by the hand and pulled her up, then walked her towards the guest room and laid her down on the futon. "Do you want something to sleep in, Taylor-chan? I can get you one of my shirts or maybe you can wriggle into a pair of Cassie-chan's pajamas?" She said, looking at Taylor as she knelt next to her.
"You'll probably pass out before we manage that anyway." She said, glancing away. Akashi lowered her head and sighed. "Oh, Imouto-chan." She said softly and reached out to gently rake her fingers through Taylor's blonde hair.

Taylor stayed right where Akashi put her, and only moved to drape an arm across her forehead. "Yeah," she said. "I'm surprised I haven't barfed all over everything."
She had had less to drink before and thrown up because of it. Maybe she was just better at holding her liquor now, despite not having had any practice.
She wished Johnny was there. If she could only see one person for the rest of her life, it would be him. She knew Junko would be able to take care of her, tell her things she needed to hear, help her bounce back. She knew Cassie wanted desperately to make everything better. But Akashi was the only one of them who had ever held the Friction title. Taylor felt like she must understand what she was going through, probably better than Taylor did herself.
"The getting up part sucks," she said, in little more than a hoarse whisper. "I don't want to have to keep getting up. I wanna just not fall down in the first place. I just want the fucking belt, man. Do you..." She opened one eye to peer up at the sumo. "Do you think I'll ever have another shot?"
Postby Tatyina on Sat Sep 27, 2014 10:37 pm
"Thanks for not." Akashi said dryly and turned her head. However, when Akashi heard Taylor begin to speak about losing it, She frowned. She lowered her head so her black hair spilled over both of them and Taylor and Akashi could only look at each other.
"I know what it's like, Taylor-chan. I thought my chance was going to be taken away from me too. It's worth it though because you work so hard for it. No one can deny that you deserve as many chances at it as you want. Proving we belong in the positions we're in is a lot harder than taking that final step, even if you don't think so. You've already climbed the mountain, Taylor-chan. You've already done what so many girls never even get the chance to do. If you get pushed over, you're not falling to the ground. You're tumbling a few feet. You're not falling all the way back down the mountain. You have a good view and now you're just a little ways from the summit. And, you'll get there, Taylor-chan... but when you turn and look behind you, remember, you're not seeing the ground because you're so high up, the clouds won't let you."
Akashi grinned. "Just, don't hold onto it for too long once you get it because when you're done, I'm ready for my next tour of duty." She said grinning widely.

Taylor blinked her bleary eyes and struggled to follow Akashi's meaning, but the words mostly washed over her. She thought she kind of got what she meant, though, and nodded.
"Yeah," she said. "When I'm champ, you can have a shot at it. I'll never fight you again, unless it's for the title. It's different then." She thought about it for a moment, and then nodded, affirming it to herself. "Yeah. I'd do that. I wouldn't push for it, though."
She yawned and stretched her arms up over her head, and then began the lengthy process of finding the energy to take off her black Rise Against sweatshirt.
Postby Tatyina on Sun Sep 28, 2014 1:37 am
Akashi smiled and sat up, helping Taylor pull off the hoodie. "I don't really want to do that, Imouto-chan. When you get the title, you enjoy it as long as you can. I'm patient and young. There will be plenty of other girls I can take it from." Though, the idea of them fighting when there wasn't any animosity between them DID sound intriguing. Even Akashi had to admit that.
"Come on, Imouto-chan. Is there anything else you need to take off?" Akashi said in a serious tone. "Let's get you nice and snuggled for bed, ok?" Normally she might say it with a cheeky tone, but if she did that then she'd just get yelled at. Akashi sighed.
"You can stay as long as you want too, Imouto-chan. Though, I'm sure you want to get home as soona s you can.' Akashi said, lowering her head a bit.
Postby Bluemouse on Sun Sep 28, 2014 11:43 am
"Nah, I'm good." Taylor waved a sleepy hand at her friend.
She did want to go home as soon as she could. She wished she had done it earlier.
"I'm such a bad wife," she lamented. "I want Johnny. He watched his wife get fucked up and she won't even see him afterward. He's probably ready to just call it quits and forget about me. And now you guys are here and I only want him, and I'm a bad friend and I'm selfish because all I can think is what if I'll never be the best. I feel like I'm driving myself crazy with this shit. I can't think about it anymore."
She sighed. "But how are you guys? How's Bear been?"
Postby Tatyina on Sun Sep 28, 2014 1:19 pm
Akashi lowered her head. She turned and looked away. "You're not any of those things, Taylr-chan." She said softly. "You're a good friend..." She added. "Ah, Cassie-chan's doing really good. Ever since she started dating Shinobu-kun, she's perked up even more, if that's possible, eheh." Akashi said chuckling softly before she sighed.
"You shouldn't say things like 'he's ready to call it quits." Akashi said suddenly. "He worked hard to have you, why would he let it go just because you couldn't be face to face for a few days? You have someone to go home to and that's what's important."
"I'm the one who's been selfish. I want a Johnnyy-kun. I want a Shinobu-kun. I like Tenshi-chan a lot but... I don't want to have secrets. The only time she's been over to the house was when Cassie-chan was in Canada. You didn't even know about her until your title match!" Akashi tugged on her hair. "I just want someone I can come home to at night. I used to have it and, I'm over Mina-chan, but still. I'm not over that hole being there. But I want someone who I can bring home and who can be accepted by my family as well. Can I say that about Tenshi-chan? I ... don't think I can." She muttered with a sigh.
"You don't really have to choose between your husband and your family because everyone will support everyone. Am I just terrible at love or am I asking too much?" She asked, knitting her brow. "It would be so much easier if one of you were gay." She growled under her breath.

Taylor propped herself up on her elbow to look at Akashi. She knew that she had been devastated when Mina ditched her for no good reason, and Taylor would still like five minutes alone with that bitch. But it was hard to see Akashi floundering around in the aftermath of that relationship. It was hard to see her unhappy.
"Kashi..." She said, blinking several times to try to clear her head. "You'll find someone. I don't know if it's Angel, 'cause you know I don't like her, but I know you will. But..." She frowned. "Kashi, you're fucking retarded. Like, you sleep with everyone that you shouldn't. You make bad decisions. Like... Angel, Natasha, Adrian, Talia. In New York..."
Cassie came in with a giant bundle of bedding and a laptop and began to settle things in. She looked on attentively while Taylor spoke.
"In New York, I had kind of a phase where I just slept with everyone. Like, maybe Johnny didn't wonder how I was so good at sucking dick, but... practice makes perfect. John might know. John Mitchel. There was a dude in our gym, and my first night there I blew him, just 'cause I wanted to... whatever."
Cassie stopped fiddling with the blankets for the moment and sat crosslegged on the floor.
"I dunno where I'm going with this, but fucking everything that moves will just make you alone and miserable. So is Angel, like, the girl, or did you just want to fuck?"
"Angel seems nice," Cassie chimed in.
"Ohmigawd, Cassie."

Akashi turned her head at Taylor's words. She blushed deeply and finally shuddered. "Euuuughhhh, Taylor-chaaaaan!" She whined. "I don't know how you could do that! Yuck, yuck, yuck! But... Angel's the only one I've slept with since we started messing around. If it was just about sex, I probably would be sleeping around more." Akashi sighed.
"We'll see. We'll see what happens when I tell her I'll be in your corner. We'll see what happens when you beat her. We'll see what happens when I tell her that our relationship can only work if you guys approve." Akashi linked at Taylor. "So, if the two of you can't make nice after the dust settles, then I guess not... but... that's not on you, Taylor-chan."
Akashi then turned to Cassie. "You'll like anyone, Cassie-chan. Which... I appreciate." She said smiling. She then knit her brow. "But, you're not being gross like Taylor-chan with Shinobu-kun, are you?" She said, wagging her finger at Cassie. "You're much too cute to be into guys! I don't want to picture you around.. p-p-p... " Akashi stuttered. "Around dicks!"

Cassie looked at Akashi. She didn't need to say what was on her mind, because she had said it many times before. It was a discussion that came up in bits and pieces between her and Akashi, by virtue of them living together. But it continued to come up, and it wasn't because of Cassie.
"Akashi," she said. "Taylor and I are straight. We both like boys. We both accept you for who you are, and you can do what you want, but you can't keep doing this... this thing where you act like you aren't okay with us being straight."
Taylor shook her head and blinked, and then nodded in agreement. She didn't need to try to add anything. Her eyes blinked so slowly that the next one might last all night.
Cassie crawled closer to Akashi and put a hand on her shoulder. She looked her in the eye. "It'll be okay, Akashi. Everything is okay, and it'll get better. But for now, stop wishing that we were gay."
Suddenly, unexpected to everyone in the room including herself, Taylor began to giggle, and then chortle, and then laugh, and in a moment she fell back on the mattress in a fit of uncontrollable, utterly contagious laughter. Cassie almost, laughed, but she was confused.
"What?"
"I dunno! It's just funny!" Taylor gasped. She tried to stop, but she couldn't. Laugh-tears already sprung to her eyes. Cassie couldn't help but laugh, and with that the gravity of the moment was all but washed away.
"Oh my gaawwd," Taylor rubbed her eyes and sat upright. "Whooo... Stop trying to gay us, Kashi." Finally, she all but stopped laughing. "Man, I'm gonna fucking murder Kelly Conway."

Akashi couldn't help but laugh when Taylor did. She giggled along but still tried to speak. "I'm NOT, hehe! If you don't like it, find me a decent girl! Besides! You can like guys, I just don't want to think about you doing things with them until you're older!"
Akashi huffed, settling down."A lot of people need to beat her ass. I think I'll see if she'll answer the call. I doubt it, though. She's pretty much the biggest pussy in the league."

"Yeah, dude, fuckin'..." Taylor mumbled, feeling pretty sleepy. "I'm losing my shit with this shit. I'm gonna, like... I'm a racecar right now, and I'm in the red, and Kelly better... fuckin'..."
Cassie opened up her laptop and placed it on the mattress while she wriggled back into place with the other two. Taylor curled up on her side and pillowed her head against Akashi. "Bucky's been freelancing," she said. "He has work in Japan and he might come for a visit."
She pushed play, and they watched an animated, well put-together promo for an upcoming men's pro wrestling event in Tokyo. It was edgy, artistic, and cartoony, with stylized renditions of each wrestler on the card, accompanied by a soundtrack of low-fi garage rock. "This is what Bucky does. He hounded these people to get this job. It's so close, it'd be great if he could get a job or two for AFW. But maybe I wouldn't want him to. I don't know if I want my little-big brother to be part of something like..."
She looked down, and Taylor was sound asleep, and snoring softly. She smiled, and closed the laptop. "Good night, Akashi," she said, and cozied herself in for the night.
