The Metal Will Live On
One night, as River Styx sat in her Wretched Hive within the AFW walls, alone with nothing better to do than read Animal Farm for the sixth time, it occurred to her just how stale her life was getting. Yeah, she had some plots going, a few plans in the works, people to fuck, fuck with, and fuck up. But, really, she didn't get out as much as she used to, and for a girl who'd spent the past few years on the road, that was simply unacceptable.
The stability of her `job` had a lot of benefits - steady income, a fresh supply of cunts to beat around, among other things. The trade-off was decreased freedom. She had a loose schedule, matches she had to attend, and whil the organized mayhem was a necessary pain in the ass, Styx needed to spread her wings and get back to her roots. Chaos. Anarchy. Insanity. Loud noise.
She needed a fucking mosh pit.
Finding one wasn't too hard - for all the righteous shit she gave Japan, she couldn't say the place lacked variety. Babymetal was a weak ass name for a band, but they played good stuff, and Styx had been a fan since before she even touched down on Japanese shores, and it turned out they were in town tonight, doing a live show. She was there. She didn't have any tickets, but she was there.
Styx decided to dress a little snazzy for the occasion and actually put on some jeans, tight shorts that came halfway up her thigh and heavy black boots, in case things got as rough as she hoped they would. She finished off the look with a black crop top and was on her way, catching a bus downtown as the sun started setting and night crept in.
It took a little screwing around and no small measure of intimidation with the smallest member of security she could find, but she was able to slip in and make her way to the show just as the music started to reach a fever pitch, the mosh pit already fully formed in front of the band. Fists throwing. Bodies bumping. Bruises forming. The vibration of stomping feet was only matched by the monstrous beat from the stage. An untapped, untamed, uncouth, unfiltered, undulateing mass of violence. A monster with dozens of heads to cut off.
"Ah." Styx had a blissful smile as she started to move through the crowd. "I'm home."
She broke into a run and jumped into the mosh pit, landing hard near the side. She let out a sick laugh as she felt two elbows immediately snap her in the back, and she threw out a fist behind her in response, not even caring who she hit so long as she hit someone. She started moving into the mass, throwing her weight around a slamming around as he world spun. Harder, fucks!" She brought her fist down and clocked some jackass on the back of his head. "Come on!"

Lilybell wrote:The ink was still wet on Anne's contract as she walked through the city streets eager to drink in whatever nightlife Japan had on offer. She had already hit a couple of bars tonight; the first turned her out for being under the drinking age around here, but the second hadn't bothered carding her at all. Two jager-bombs later she was back out on the street and on the hunt for some excitement. It was a good thing most of the signs included some kind of English on them or she wouldn't have known a bar from a butcher, but one word in particular caught her eye: metal. She wasn't entirely sure what "babymetal" was, but even if it was some kind of robo-baby that would still be worth checking out. Fucking Japanese and their robots!
As she approached the venue she could hear the primal rhythm of the bass come blasting through the doors. To Anne it was like a call to arms, a drummer beating out a cadence, and she was ready to answer. Dressed in black cargo pants, combat boots, and a thin white Doro t-shirt through which her red bra clearly showed she stalked up on the building. With a signing bonus in her pocket she attempted to legally enter a concert for once, but the obnoxiously cheerful woman in the window informed her that they were already sold out.
Little deterred by this inconvenience she set about getting into the concert the old fashioned way. One roadie and one blow job later she was inside and looking upon the throngs of people colliding in a storm of humanity before the stage. Upon the stage was a spectacle she could scarcely comprehend, some fusion of J-Pop and thrash that threatened to give her an aneurism, but it would suffice for burning off her excitement. Raking fingers through her short hair, mostly black with a stripe of bubble-gum pink, she smiled a deranged little smile to herself. There was no drug in the world like heavy metal and a mosh pit, or so Rebellion had told her.
Taking off at a full run she came crashing into the maelstrom that was the mosh pit and set instantly about the task of bouncing off of bodies like a curvacious pinball. First she dashed and crashed around the outside of the ring along with the ubiquitous "circle pit", and then smashed her way across the center like a chaotic game of red-rover. It was then that she heard somebody yell "Harder, fucks!" Happy to oblige she threw herself bodily into the taller woman hip first. "Fuck yeah!"
acuya wrote:A pit filled with sweat, blood, rubbing bodies and swinging fists. What wasn't to love? For Styx, this was combat training, bringing the same style she had into the ring and applying it to the pit. A fist glanced off her chin, and she showed the guy how it was really done with a hard hook that knocked him back into the mass. Her elbows swung as she twisted, making hits every few inches they went. She threw her body weight around, making everyone fly about like leaves in her storm. 200 pounds of white trash, coming through.
She didn't think anyone was crazy enough to bring it right back to her, but she was proven wrong when someone hit her with enough force to make her move. She glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw the frame of a girl in the shadows, some funny little thing that probably had no clue what she was trying to ride. Styx would have to educate her.
She stumbled a bit, catching herself and ignoring the high-as-fuck asshole grinding on her from behind, then threw herself back into the girl with the same hip that she'd hit a moment ago, giving her fellow mosher some real force."Take it!"
Lilybell wrote:Like objects in space bodies collided, bounced, spun, and flew off again. No exception to this Anne was like a meteorite, and her crash into River had been a crash into a moon or some other heavenly body. She could do some damage, but this was all about mass and velocity and mass was one thing she was lacking in. When the orbit of the larger woman's hips came back around the diminutive rocker was sent off balance. Accustomed to being bounced about in the pits she didn't fall on her ass like some little wannabe, but staggered and careened into a heap of undulating forms.
With a manic laugh she seemed to completely miss, or perhaps ignore, somebody stealing a grab at her breast as she quickly regained her footing. That lunatic smile was painted across her features as if she were possessed by some laughing demon of rock and roll. With both hands she shoved the nearest mosher back into the seemingly endless stream of coursers circling the pit only adding to the madness. Flinging herself back into the fray Anne spun, a whirling dervish in combat boots, throwing up an elbow careless of whom it would contact as she circled about backwards. A rebel yell burst from her lips, celebrating the sheer fact that she existed. This moment, that's all that mattered. Everything else was just bullshit.
acuya wrote:Styx was expecting this girl to get knocked down or at least get swept up in the crowd after a hit like that. Just to look at her, she couldn't have been a pound over a buck and thirty cents, and that was being generous, and pretty much anyone would have been reeling.
But nub-uh. Not this one. This one wanted more. This one had a smile that shined through the darkness, mirrored Styx's. This one she liked. Tonight, Styx had a little project to work.
Eager to play, Styx started to clear a path, spinning around and whipping what little hair she had around. She took a few elbows, here and there. The ribs, her shoulder, even one in the groin, somehow. Didn't care. Barely noticed. Didn't matter. All she wanted to do was crash into the little insane twister screaming at the top of her lungs, to see what sort of madness they could make when they combined...and if the devilish diva could hang in her territory. She planted her feet, marked her space, and took the vileness right to her.
Lilybell wrote:The laws of convergence were in full effect as Anne bounced off of the 'walls' of the pit, each time she struck into a body a sea of hands pushed her back out into the swirling torrent of bodies. There was something she just loved about this sensation, adrenaline coursing through her veins, music pounding in her ears, her sweat mingling with countless others, numerous hands pushing and pulling at her body all at once... And eventually all of that pushing, pulling, bouncing, and swirling sent her colliding shoulder first with River as she spun about like a wild woman.
This time, instead of throwing her weight into the other woman Anne would do something perhaps a little less expected, although one of her favorite games. Turning her shoulder she would try to roll almost past the obstruction that was River, and at the last moment throw out an arm to link with the other woman's at the elbow. "Let's Fuck! Shit! Up!" If she would allow their combined momentous swirling would turn them into a centrifuge of sheer destruction. Two celestial bodies orbiting a single point between them, and smashing through anything that got in their path with their combined force. It would feel almost like a violent and more twisted ring-around-the-rosie.
acuya wrote:This girl had to be high on something, and it made Styx wish she'd taken the time to get a little inebriated. A little sauce always did wonders for her moshing experience. The night was young, though, and there was no telling what kind of craziness she'd get into.
"Oh, you want to dance?" Styx gripped the girl tight as they linked elbows, letting her hoarse cackling lift above the noise, blending in with the shrieks and groans and moans and cries. She was starting to think she and Liberty Vella were the only two girls on this whole island with some real bite and edge, but she was glad to be wrong for once. "Then let's dance!"
She gave the girl exactly what she was begging for and brought her along for the most insane ride of her life. River spun, swinging her around like a human baseball, knocking people around crushing opposition as they ripped the pit to shreds. She held her close to the chest and used her spare hand to grab the shirt for some better grip, wanting to make sure her 'partner didn't get flung away.
Lilybell wrote:A good day and a little jagermeister will go a long way in the right setting. Holding tightly onto the woman's bare arms as she was swung about, a human wrecking ball, all the while grinning fiendishly as her body, legs, and booted feet collided with yielding flesh. The scent of blood, sweat, and beer permeated Anne's nostrils and now she added to that the specific scent of her new 'friend' as she was held against her chest. Being held by her shirt the tight, white garment rode up more than a little, but modesty wasn't a hangup that had ever phased Anne Archy.
"Suck it, bitches!" She shouted to no one in particular as she kicked up her feet to deliver a completely unjustified heel-kick to the forehead of a bystander. At the rate they were going the two were likely to be ejected from the concert soon, but consequences were of little... well, consequence. If they were thrown out then they'd just go wreak havoc elsewhere. "Oh, you dance divinely!" Her attention finally returned to her current partner in crime, trying to lock eyes and share a terrifying smile of exhilaration.
acuya wrote:Now that they were a lot closer and the lights were flashing brighter, Styx could get a better look at her partner. She was young, just like Styx suspected. Definitely not even in her twenties, maybe even a high school student. Dark hair, maybe dyed, hard to really be sure until they got into better light. She was the sort of chick Styx wouldn't give much thought too if she saw her doing just about anything else just about anywhere else, but here she could see the wild side and make judgments based on that. Much more enlightening. And fun. You can't really know someone until you've knocked the shit out of them.
Girl had good moves, too, delivering a heel kick that Styx was happy not to be on the receiving end of. She brought the girl down and pulled her close, practically headbutting as she pulled her in. As wild as this girl could get, Styx wanted to just a little wilder. "You don't even know." They were close enough that she didn't even have to yell, her words blowing hairs off the girl's face.
Styx threw a quick jab in the girl's chest and pushed her back, keeping the smile on her the whole time. People were starting to give them a wide berth, limiting the targets they could strike against...except each other, of course.
Lilybell wrote:Finally coming to light upon the ground Anne was panting doggedly to catch her breath after that fit of mania and devilish laughter. Things could go a lot of different ways in a mosh pit, in close proximity to a person you were just as likely to get kicked as you were to get kissed. Generally neither reaction is desired, but one is decidedly less pleasant to receive than the other. It just so happened to be that today what she got was a punch in the chest and a shove backwards. With a hiss of pain she winced and stumbled back a few steps until she could find solid footing again. Taking up a fighting stance her grin changed from wild elation to something that could only be described as an expression of feral satisfaction.
So that's how its gonna be, huh? She mused to herself, eager to see just where this night would find her.
With neither style nor grace Anne would march right back up to her fellow mosh monster and attempt to grab her by her lock of hair, pulling her forward and down while she brought up a knee into the other woman's groin. A maneuver more effective against men, but it still drove the message home loud and clear no matter who it was delivered to. And that message was 'hello, have pain!'
Lilybell wrote:Hair pulling, crotch shots, nothing was beneath Anne when she got out on a tear. Amongst the humid, undulating mass of the crowd and the driving beat of the music she was in her element. A twisted smile distorted her otherwise sweet features in a Cheshire grin as her knee found its home between the mystery woman's thighs. There was something utterly satisfying about the feeling of a blow landing solidly against flesh. Breaking away she made no effort to stop River from gaining a little space as well as her footing. This wasn't about winning after all, just about a little brutality.
The unexpected urging on from the older girl summoned up a gypsy laugh from the bottle-brunette, "Damn, girl, I got more than that for ya!" In a split second she made the decision not to interpret the request literally, and just do the same thing hard... at least not just yet, but rather she would dash forward throwing forth an elbow to crash into the woman's chest with a bounding step. She didn't worry too much about telegraphing her attacks... none of this really mattered.
acuya wrote:Styx grunted again as the elbow crashed into her chest, powered up by the girl's crazy momentum. She was never one for defense and never the fastest bitch of the block, always preferring to the damage in full and give it back even harder. A normal girl might have some problems taking this sort of abuse, but her? Nah. Pain was just a part of life, after all, one she'd grown quite accustomed to taking. It was like an old friend that came back in town to visit her on just the right days, and she was always greeted it with open arms.
She took a step back, then took a step forward, coming back to the girl with an even wider grin, if such a thing was possible. Styx made a bold step and jerked down, using her own thick skull as a weapon and bringing their foreheads together. The skull was, after all, one of the thickest bones in the human body. Perfect for bludgeoning, really.
Lilybell wrote:Trading blow for blow without a thought to evasion or protection. Oh, this was going to make for one hell of a night, and one bitch of a morning after. Their skulls collided together with a dull thud, the impact causing Anne to stumble back a step in a passing daze. Absently she raised a hand to her forehead and let out a bubbling, almost laugh as her eyes focused once more upon the woman before her. Headbutts were always a risky maneuver, doing yourself near as much damage as your victim, but risk never really stopped Anne.
Bouncing on her toes in an imitation of a boxer's dancing the girl didn't even bother to raise her arms in any semblance of a guard, it didn't seem to be that kind of a thing. It was, ya know, just one of those things. With that wolfish grin still playing across her features she took another lunging step in towards her... well, towards whoever this woman was to her, and threw a hard right hook towards River's abdomen. Normally she would keep a slightly more frantic pace in her matches, but this didn't seem to be the moment for an overwhelming onslaught, more of a feeling out process of sorts.

Re: The Metal Will Live On
Energetic, crazy, bouncing around, violent - this girl reminded River of herself, if you take away a few hundred or so pounds and added more hair. Like the little, evil, hellion of a sister River always wanted but her mother never shat out. Definitely a good thing, and now she knew she'd found her entertainment for the rest of the night.
That was, if security didn't have anything to say about it. River spotted a trio of the bastards heading right towards them, trying to squeeze through the throbbing mob, and she had a feeling they weren't going to leave them off with a slap on the wrist. She and her little friend were going to have to finish this somewhere a little more private.
Styx turned back just in time to take a hard strike right on the ribs, sending some sharp pain throughout her chest. She winced and fought the urge to hit right back, instead grabbing the girl by her collar and tugging her hard, trying to pull her out of the pit. "Come on, not staying in jail tonight."

Re: The Metal Will Live On
Things were just starting to get really interesting. She didn't know who this woman was, but even for an old bitch Anne could see that there was a shared fire in her. That same reckless sense of "fuck it" that had been leading her down alleys and through countless scrapes was alive and well in her new acquaintance. She hated that word, acquaintance, sounded so... corporate. Friend was too intimate, comrade was too Russian, companion too implicitly sexual for now... She needed a new word: Pit-pal. It sounded like a kids toy from the 90s, but she'd go with it.
Just when things were starting to get fun... they got more fun! Her pit-pal grabbed her by the collar and started to drag her towards the writhing masses. Jail? With a backward glance she saw the security crew moving in to try ruining their fun. Damned wannabe cops. Following River's lead Anne hurried along into the multitudes of slam-dancing Japanese metalheads. At least she was pretty sure they still counted as metalheads in spite of seeming way too into this clearly fabricate metal pageant on stage. Wriggling, pushing and shoving she tried to force her way through the crowd to put a little space between the security goons and the two rockers. There was usually an emergency exit to either side of the stage, but those were also usually watched closely by another goon or two. Maybe one wouldn't bee too much to dispatch if they could get enough of a lead on the others.

Re: The Metal Will Live On
River was a big girl, but she knew how to move when she needed to, particularly when she was being chased by authority figures. Staying ahead of the law was a key requirement for being a runaway, and one she'd managed to perfect over the years. Good to see she still had the skills. Having the momentum of a runaway freight train helped.
She and her newly-christened partner in crime barreled through the audience and came bursting out of the emergency exit, where one of the guards was waiting. He turned around just as the door flew open, all 6"0', 250 something pounds of him. Big guy. If Stxy was alone, she might have had a problem bringing him down. She could do it, but not fast.
But she wasn't. "Take him!" She too some hard steps forward and came at him with a shoulder block, looking to flatten him with the momentum before he could tighten up.

Re: The Metal Will Live On
Moving through crowds at concerts was a skill that every metalhead worth their weight in pirated CDs mastered early, and being relatively small made Anne particularly adept at slipping through even the smallest openings in the churning masses. In this case the had the advantage of the runaway bus that was River punching a hole in the crowd for her. Easily clearing the security barrier she followed River through the emergency exit where they encountered a towering security guard.
No words were necessary, but the kill order certainly didn't do any harm. River took the attack high and so her diminutive partner went low. Dropping her shoulder she aimed a running spear for the guard's midsection. With any luck they could bowl him out of the way and not even have to stop. Without any luck they'd wind up in a heap of tangled limbs and get tackled by the pursuing goons. Here's hoping.

Re: The Metal Will Live On
An object in motion, stays in motion. Especially when that object is River Styx.
She and her new partner slammed into the guard and left him in crumbled, wailing heap of disheveled manflesh on the ground, rolling about like they'd broken something. Or several somethings. Styx's first instinct was to twist the knife and break him even more, but they were working on a time limit here. She had to settle for just kicking him in the skull, bringing her heel down hard on the big forehead of his. Injuring him would slow the others down, make them rush to his aid. Good distraction.
"Come on." She made her way into the parking lot and started ducking low, using a van for cover and trying to get there before security could hone in on them.

Following suit Anne added insult to injury by giving the downed guard a quick kick in the ribs before moving to follow River towards the parking lot. That manic grin was still plastered on her face as they hustled, crouched low to avoid detection. All they needed to do was get off of the property and the guards would break off, but that would also mean that the police would be on their way.
"Subway's a block from here. Make that and we're home free." The words came out as a low hiss, a whisper rushed for both urgency and her boundless effervescent excitement. Once they got away from here she would need to find a place to score.

Re: The Metal Will Live On
They were safe - for now. That was bound to change, though, and if the security guards were serious about bringing the heat on them, things could get nasty. It wouldn't be too long before the police came, and then things would become extremely unpleasant extremely fast.
Her partner had an idea, though, and Styx nodded along with it. She hated riding the subway - too cramped for a girl her size, not enough elbow room - but she didn't have any better ideas. The subway it was.
"Right, sounds good." She made her way down to the street and started of down the block, staying a quick but steady pace. "What's your name, sweet thing?"

Re: The Metal Will Live On
The cops might not have been called for their little spectacle in the pit, but after taking down that guard at the exit they'd be out for blood. Anne was never squeamish about a little blood, but she did prefer that as little as possible be her own. Well, most of the time anyhow.
A quick roadie-run from the parking lot to the street brought a slight feeling of relief as they put a little more distance between themselves and their pursuers. Walking briskly, trying not to draw too much attention, she grinned like the cat who ate the cream as she turned her attention briefly to the older rocker. "Anarchy. But you can call me Anne." She chanced a quick glance over her shoulder to see if anyone was following them; for the moment it seemed they were in the clear. "And what's the name I'm going to be callin' for a good time later?"
