Selene beamed, shaking Shizuka's hand proudly. "And I am honored to be by your side, Shizuka." She took another gentle sip of her brandy, "Alright, I shall seek out Ms. Ryuzu and enact a bit of the old revenge. You may retrieve your sword at your leisure." She raised her glass, offering to clink it with Shizuka's, "To the destruction of two thorns in our sides, and to a wonderful new partnership."

Shizuka toasted Selene. "To those and more," she gladly agreed. "To those and more."

And now we are stronger by one.

Selene stood up, smiling wickedly, "Excellent... now... we have much to do to prepare now, don't we? I have a date with a certain... corrupt official."

"The best of luck to you," Shizuka extended as she, too, stood up with a matching grin of her own. "I will see you soon." She bowed to take leave of her host/partner.
