Also, I really don't like the NXT announcers. Why can't we get JBL and William Regal as announcers? The wrestling knowledge alone would be immense.

Nice to see Kevin Steen being badass, though thank god that palm strike only broke his nose and didn't kill him.

Finn Balor got a Holy Shit chant from his entrance....that was epic. So was his Carnage paint. Two great tag matches, Vaudevillians need to win the damn tag belts.

Hell of a main event too. Sami Zayne (The former El Generico, who I have on a Ring of Honor DVD), and Adrian Neville had a great match, with a fun nod to Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper at Wrestlemania 8 as well. Nice to see.

AWESOME job on that Kevin Owens heel turn. I thought he might during the celebration, or when everyone left the ring, but once I saw the logo appear, I figured it was over and done, and then BAM! HEEL TURN! POWERBOMB ONTO APRON BECAUSE FUCK YOUR SPINE!

Just awesome.


I don't get it. The NXT guys, while not better than WWE guys, but probably equal in talent, are busting their asses and putting on great matches and great television every single week.

Meanwhile, WWE has been putting on......bland, generic, frankly boring Raws every week, for months, filled with the same old shit and frankly WAY too many DQ endings and boring promos. NXT does better with one hour shows and two hour PPVs than WWE does with 3 hour Raws and even some of their PPVs.

NXT is written by one guy, with Dusty to advise and Trips to sign off, WWE has 23 writers trying to appease a senile old madman.

That would explain it.

Fuck you Reigns. You started in FCW, came to NXT as "Leakee", then got repackaged for The Shield. Daniel Bryan was NXT Season 1, Episode 1, as Daniel Bryan, and won the belt at Mania 30.

Also I just realized why I hate Reigns now. It's bad enough that hes just a palette swap for John Cena, who wins because WWE decides he should and is getting shoved down our throats.

Its because when they were The Shield, Reigns was the coolest. He was badass, he didn't talk much, and the other two covered up his weaknesses. He just had to come out, spear and superman punch some bitches, and be badass.

Then they broke up, and Dean Ambrose did his own thing and became his own guy.

Seth Rollins did his own thing, and became his own guy.


Reigns...didn't. He kept the same outfit, the same entrance, even the same music. He's made no attempt to change, to make himself different, to become his own guy. He's just rehashing The Shield because if we see him and think "Shield" then we cheer.

So actually, Reigns isn't John Cena. Roman Reigns is X-Pac, and all too soon he'll end up getting the kind of reception X-Pac ended up getting, when DX broke up and he spent the next 2 years just being the same DX character.



Also a read a quote earlier that I think makes a lot of sense.


"Sami Zayne is a good guy because he's a good guy. He's the kind of character that adults can buy into and get behind, because he lacks the kind of jerk qualities that babyfaces like Orton and Cena have."

I like this.

There are lots of reasons why I don't like Reigns but yes, he's always been the least talented member of Shield. His complete lack of mic skills didn't matter when he only had to say one line.

I still don't really like Beyond Thunderdome still, but he IS a good heel. As far as they go, he's a breath of fresh air from what's usually hanging around that part of the roster.

But, I don't think you're giving raw enough credit. It's true that NXT does way more with way less and as far as wrestling goes it's pound for pound the better show, but Raw has been pretty good.

All the stuff leading up to Survivor Series to set that match was good and the dispersal of talent and how its been still sort of been kept between that group.

Plus Miz/dow Is worth price of admission alone. I'm shuddering at what the upcoming rumble holds but still. Smackdown especially has been really decent lately too.

There is some stuff I like, and I've been more than complimentary about WWE's PPV's this year.

Smackdown is fine and decent.


But Raw...for the most part, with few exceptions, Raw has just not entertained me these last few months. I watch it or I watch a DVR of it, and I just...I just don't care about any of it.

I see wasted opportunities, terrible promos (Dolph Zigglers promo at the Slammy Awards was the kind of super pathetic babyface promo you saw go out of style in freaking 1994) and I just stop caring.

The slammys were just poor in my opinion. "Jericho wins!...he'll be here next week. Sting wins...he's not here." Whats the fucking point in giving people awards when they know they aren't there? Its stupid.


Maybe its just me, it probably is just me. I'm just not into it. It all feels like filler to me, like their just floating along until Golden Child Reigns came back.

That's the slammies though. Mizdow winning was great and Beyond Thunderdome winning all slammies was great too. #RKOoutofnowhere was great too and we didn't even have to sit through Oiled either. Oh, and Johnny Ace was there! That makes it the best slammies ever.

I've been enjoying Raw pretty well lately. This week's was pretty decent. The fighting champ Brock Lesnar was there!
