Re: Topic: Wrestling?
didn't make me hate wrestling at all. I can understand where they are both coming from.
Wrestling is a business that is DESIGNED to chew you up and spit you out. That's not really saying that what they do is OK, but I don't think think it's really going to work unless it somehow does it. It's what's to be expected and goes along with other sports.
There's definitely things that they didn't NEED to do and they definitely dropped the ball, but at the same token, i can't totally fault it. that's part of the game. Punk's HAPPY now and it seems like he hasn't been for years. maybe if he hadn't had all of that shit happen to him, he wouldn't have been able to reach this point. Who knows?
Plus, like he said, I think the door's being opened. I think there's a lot of good, young talent in WWE atm.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
On a related note, with wrestling being a business to chew people and spit them out afterward, I find it kind of ironic that the Undertaker retired Michaels cause he did not want to stay in the business before he made a fool out of himself like Flair kind of did, and the last Image of the Undertaker in my mind right now is like he sat in the ring after WM like a brocken, sad old man, although he is not even that old. No fireworks, no standing ovation, exactly the definition of a guy who can´t let go of the business and overstayed his welcome and has to leave silently now.
Of course I am not sure if he is retired right now, but it pretty much felt that way after WM. Pretty sad for such an icon, I hope Kane, Big Show, Christian, Jericho and Mark Henry fare better when they hang up the boots.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Kane still looks pretty damn good out there o.O
Show as well. I think Christian's more or less done and Jericho sort of has the Undertaker schedule these days.
Dunno about MH though.
and yeah, Undertaker should have stopped at 20.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
There is also the thing that Wyatt now uses the tricks of the Undertaker and is probably his replacement, fueling the feeling for me that he is retired.
Mysterio wanted to leave early, so it is ok for WWE to not give him room for a good farewell, but I am kind of angry about the treatment of Christian. Yes, he jumped ship, but the guy is a triple crown winner and was a pillar of the Attitude era. He has probably made more money for WWE and brought better matches than MH, woh only came to fame late in his career.
I was and kind of am still a fan of Kane and Big Show, but the face/heel dynamic of both guys, especially with Show, just has to stop. Kane should have a real moster run at the end of his career, like he had on Smackdown some time ago where he destroyed Randy Orton several times and cashed in on Rey. Don´t know about Big Show, that guy is kind of to likeable to make him do that.
