Re: Counting Sheep
Syd stopped short and turned to stare directly at DB with her apathetic red eyes. She paused.
"No."
She pulled her long, glossy, white ponytail over her shoulder and absently ran her fingers down its length while she resumed her long, rapid gait. "And she's my manager." She didn't just follow her around. Apparently the rabbit-girl was about as smart as a rabbit-rabbit.
"If you're thinking that you're incredibly boring and stupid, then we're already on the same page. Leave me alone." Her eyes drifted over to a small information kiosk on one side of the hallway up ahead. On it, among other things, was a stack of small maps of the building with certain areas marked, and on top of that was an apple-shaped glass paperweight, with something inside it. Syd tilted her head curiously at it. She couldn't tell what was in it from that far away.

Re: Counting Sheep
D.B. stopped right along Syd, turning to return her indifferent glare with her own. Of course D.B. knew that annoying chick with the shrill voice,(whatever the hell her name was), was her manager. Though making light of her finally brought out a reaction form Syd as she started fiddling with her own silver ponytail. A nervous reaction to a touchy subject apparently.
"....yeah." Bunny took a step forward and leaned in slightly. "Actually...If you really wanna know what I'm thinking..."
With Syd distracted by looking for objects to bludgeon Bunny with, Death would forcefully shoulder check Sydney into an empty office room behind her and having both of them burst into the unoccupied office space, save for a few sofa chairs and a modestly sized table littered with various clerical instruments.
"....it's when exactly did I start letting cocky little shits start talking to me like that!" Bunny dropped her bag on the floor as she started closing the gap between the two, her previous patience for insolence having obviously worn considerably thin.

Re: Counting Sheep
Syd tilted her head at the paperweight. It had a tiny wrestling ring inside. How... unimaginative.
Syd's train of thought was abruptly derailed as the rabbit-girl roughly knocked her through a doorway. She stumbled, and when she regained her balance she turned to face Death Bunny with no more emotion than before. She remained infuriatingly un-rattled, though now her mind was working and focused.
"If you just wanted to fight, you wasted a lot of time, idiot," she said. She stood her ground while Death Bunny advanced on her. "So you're just going to beat me up or something?"

Re: Counting Sheep
With Death stepping up and standing toe to toe with the infuriatingly composed Sydney, the clashing anti-socialites practically reenacted the old adage of what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. D.B. couldnâ€t stand dealing with this friggin mute for a minute longer, swiftly one-handedly grabbing Syd by her shirt collar and lifting her up a few inches. “Why do I get the feeling that just smacking you around this office wouldnâ€t prove my point?!†Bunny shouted with her gloved fist tightened in anticipation towards decking this smug...little…dammit.
…Bunny unclenched her fists and pushed her back against the sole office table in the room, her wild-eyed and furious expression now dropping to utter indifference again. She realized why she even bothered with Syd. Why she spoke up in the first place. What intrigues Death about her as she pelted her with question after question. Like looking over a cliff into the abyss. Sometimes all you see is your own reflection.
“...If I wanted to knock you around in the first place donâ€t you think Iâ€d have come at you with a pipe in the parking lot rather than speaking up in the middle of the day in a crowded fucking locker room?....*tch*....Screw this.†Stepping back and snatching up her tote bag, Bunny turned her back to Syd and made her slightly slumped approach for the exit.

Re: Counting Sheep
Syd kept her fists low and tight as Death Bunny lifted her up by the collar of her buttoned shirt. She returned her glare, but that was all. She had had just about enough of this idiotic bully of a rabbit.
Her eyes fixed on DB's fist when it threatened to rearrange her face, but the punch never came. Then she was free. Behind Bunny's back, Syd's scowl took on a look of intense glee. She instantly whipped her tie off and grabbed a metal stapler from the table, and then smashed the weighty little thing into the back of Death Bunny's head. She slipped the silk necktie around Bunny's neck and crossed it behind her, and then backed up a step and yanked to whip the bigger girl down at the floor.

Re: Counting Sheep
In her mind D.B. was already out the door and down the hallway, with no desire to left in her to try and maintain whatever feeble attempt at a conversation she had initiated. Though it was by no means a smart move to show her back to Sydney, sometimes D.B. still operated under the assumption that people knew it wasn't in their best interest to pick a fight with her, even if it was the one she technically started it. Plus Death had barely taken her eyes off her before the anarchist finally found something to bludgeon her with.
“Gah!!†Death arched forward with one hand nursing the back of her skull where the offending stapler connected. Her head erupting in newfound pain, the shock of the impact would be accompanied along with a panicked gasp for air when Sydney twisted the neck tie from behind her. With the yanking of the noose around her neck her upper body snapped back when she was pulled down to a sitting position on the floor against Syd, the back of her head against her waist. Painfully gasping in the choke, one of Bunnyâ€s hands would claw at the tie around her neck while her other hand reached and started grasping for whatever was above her until she would hopefully find Syd†silver mane, jerking it to the side brutally once she got a handful.

Re: Counting Sheep
Syd's smile vanished. The rabbit-girl was even too stupid to fall down.
She snarled in pain as the bigger girl wrenched her head to the side, making her neck strain to keep from being pulled off entirely. Putting her dirty hands on Syd's precious hair was a mistake, but one she intended to correct.
"Bitch..."
She wrapped the tie once around each hand and kept it tight around DB's neck while she worked on lifting her back up to her feet, keeping her bent over backwards so as to keep her from getting her balance or any leverage. She took a bigger step back this time, and twisted to the side as she used the tie to throw Bunny down and spike the back of her head on the floor.
The rabbit-girl was a slow learner, but Syd was a very enthusiastic teacher.

Re: Counting Sheep
Tugging on Syds hair would hardly have the desired effect, the noose around her neck tightening further and cutting off more oxygen. She was starting to sputter out weaker coughs as the thin fabric constricted her airway. In a progressively panicked state Bunny went along with the tugging sensation until she was brought up to her feet though now with her back arched in a crescent shape.
The fabric was too thin for Bunny's clawing hands to pull at, now forced in a contorted posture that kept her off kilter and with fewer options on how she could escape. She opened eye too make out Syd's upside down face before being forcefully jerked backed down with the back of her cranium bouncing off the tiled floor with a brutal thud.
"Shhhhhit!!!" The head trauma brought to the same spot where the stapler connected caused D.B. to spasm in pain with her back arched before rolling to her side cradling the back of her head. Bunny winced sharply while also starting to cough up a storm with fresh air back in her lungs. The anarchist was doing a damn good job of working over Death, leaving her a sputtering mess with intense head pain in only a few short maneuvers.

Re: Counting Sheep
Just like that, Syd's malicious smile was back. She stepped over the big, coughing girl at her feet and slipped the tie once more around her neck. She kicked Bunny onto her stomach and planted a foot on the back of her head while she deftly began to tie a knot in the necktie.
"I like the rules," she almost whispered. "Because it makes it so much easier when people follow them."
She ground her heel back and forth into DB's head until she was done with the knot, and then she grabbed it and pulled her makeshift noose tight around the girl's neck. She pulled up with both hands while her foot kept the girl pinned to the floor, like she was intent on cutting straight through her neck with her purple silk tie.
She wanted to hear that sound that people made. The strangled, gurgling one. She wanted to see Bunny stiffen and then go limp. She wanted her to regret trying to bully her, or pick a fight, or whatever she had been trying to do.
"Now, let's talk," she said. "Do you really think you belong here?" She grinned from ear to ear and leaned down closer to Bunny's ear. "I do."

killcarrion wrote:Bunny was barely able to control her breathing again before being knocked over to her stomach. Her slow ascension towards her hands and knees would come to a halt when Syd stomped her back down with a boot to the back of her already bruised cranium. The searing pain in her head was only aggravated further as Syd grinded her booted treads into her shuffling hair, her grimacing face compressed against the tile floor.
Gritting her teeth in fuming anger at Syd as well at herself for underestimating her enough to be placed in this demeaning position, her rage gave way to sudden panic and desperation as the anarchist tugged violently while keeping her face pinned down. It was an uncomfortable scene to watch scene as the noose lifted Bunny’s neck off the ground an inch or two while the rest of her stayed flat. "Huguh!!" Gagging for air through breathless sounds with her eyes clenched shut, Bunny’s fingers clawed into the silver tie digging deeper into her increasingly pale neck with her boots kicking the floor from the struggling.
Glancing to her side through half-opened eyes, she overheard Sydney finally start opening up, and all it took was for her to start strangling the life out of D.B. Infuriatingly annoyed at Syd’s cockiness, Bunny reared back with a rapid but somewhat blind elbow strike hopefully to Syds nose or eye socket. If this strike hit home and gave D.B. some leeway she would push herself up to her knees before furiously attempting to loosen the noose around her neck and finally take it off.
Bluemouse wrote:Syd leaned back slightly when DB threw a sudden elbow strike, but from her position standing with one foot on the back of the girl's head, the elbow would have had a hard time bumping into her leg. She appreciated the effort.
"Face in the floor and under my foot," Syd sneered. "That's where you belong. But if I see you sniffing around me again... I'll kill you."
She gave her makeshift noose one last cruel yank upward, and then grabbed the knot and zipped it off of DB's neck. Without pausing, not even to look over her work, she strode out the door to leave the building and all stupid rabbit-girls behind.
killcarrion wrote:Missed. Perfect. This just wasn’t her day. Though she could have already surmised that from being put in this situation in the first place.
Bunny’s lights were starting to fade. It didn’t matter how tough you thought you were or how much you could bench press, everyone all goes down the same once you’re deprived of oxygen to the brain. D.B. was still cognizant enough to make out Syd’s lasting memento of their initial encounter, coughing out one last gurgled breath as Syd left her with that last tidbit.
Creeping up to her knees well after Syd left the room, Bunny held a hand to her neck while her chest expanded and contrasted slowly to gulp in precious air and steady her heart rate. Once everything was copacetic, Bunny rubbed her neck and took a few seconds to ponder some things.
...it was her fault. She dropped her guard against that rambunctious little shit, and she exploited the opening masterfully. That whole ordeal almost confirmed a theory bunny had been rattling around her head. One she didn't want to admit, but it was gaining some credence.
Back on her feet, Bunny grabbed her belongings and stepped out the office, turning the lights out as she went. She already knew where to go from here...
