Ryan Knight vs Charlie Haines

Ryan's attempt to flip Charlie over himself had failed drastically, his head hitting the mat hard with a loud thumping noise. Mr Knight hadn't expected Charlie to counter him so fluidly, it seemed like Ryan hadn't stunned Charlie enough yet to have been successful in this attempt.

"Grah!" the paragon of Britain grunted heavily out in pain, the sudden and hard impact to the canvas had rocked the brain case of the young man. Still wasn't the worst hit Ryan had taken, but still hurt like fuck of course. But for the moment being all Ryan was able to do was merely clutch his head with both hands and roll to the left slowly.

Charlie finally had Ryan on the mat, down. He initially thought of trying to wear Ryan down, but a voice in his head said "go big or go home." To Charlie, that meant a quick, hard hitting move from the turnbuckle. He ran towards the nearest one, leaping from the mat to the top in one bound. As the crowd cheered, Charlie raised his arms up, trying to get a bit more noise out of them.

"Surf's up!" He shouted as he leaped off the top turnbuckle performing a moonsault aimed right at the spot where Ryan was. Charlie knew this was a make-or-break move for him. If he was going to lose, he'd rather beat himself by risking it all for a big payoff than by playing it safe and letting his opponent hammer him. The other bonus of his style was that at the very least, he wouldn't have to wait very long to see if he connected with a downed Ryan, or the empty mat below.

Mr Knight was struggling to gain his bearings, he knew that the situation he was in was indeed dire. Ryan's head was numb to the bone, his eyes squinting at the sight of the lights above him. But he could still hear just fine, and the voices of the crowd made sure of that.

The paragon of Britain moved his head, glancing over at where Charlie had shouted. Mr Haines was clearly going for something high risk, Ryan knew that if the move connected then it would more certainly spell disaster for the Knight. And seeing it made Ryan spring into action, Charlie had his back turned and Ryan needed to use that.

So he remained where he was, well he shuffled a bit from where he was. To get himself into position for a counterattack, the Knight raised his legs over his chest and Ryan braced himself for impact.

Charlie didn't see what had happened, but he knew something went horribly wrong. He knew because he felt it. As soon as he landed on Ryan, the bigger man's knee's awaited Charlie's ribcage!

"F-fuck..." Is all Charlie could say as he rolled away, clutching his ribcage in pain. Charlie felt like he got hit by a train and hadn't felt a pain in his chest like this in a very long time, not since the car accident. His breathing was slow and labored, as he tried poorly to take slow and deep breaths. Surf's Up wasn't a low-risk move, and Charlie knew that whenever he attempted it.

Right now Charlie simply hoped that he hadn't just beaten himself.

As bad as Charlie was hurting, Ryan had felt the impact too. Gone into his knees, the legs of the paragon of Britain felt numb. Considering that most of Charlie's weight, his upper chest had landed atop his legs regardless. Ryan had winced as he felt the weight slam onto his knees, at least his kneecaps weren't out of their sockets. Else Mr Knight would have a case of wonky legs for a while.

Ryan rolled onto his belly, seeing how Charlie was reeling hard from that counter. Mr Knight smelled victory coming soon, but as he made to stand he winced as he felt his numb legs. Although Ryan balled his hands into fists and pounded the mat, eager to try and get back to his feet and get Charlie while he was open for attack. It was just a question of who'd manage to get up first, and deliver the next attack. Which could seal the match.

As Charlie moved, his ribcage felt like it was on fire. He must have cracked a couple on that landing. He managed to get up on fours, and then slowly to one knee. He looked over at Ryan who seemed to be doing much better in regards to getting to his feet. This was bad, really bad. Charlie needed to be on his feet and moving to win. If the big guy gt to his feet before Charlie did, he knew he was screwed.

Charlie tried not to show how badly he was hurting, but he did a pretty terrible job. As he staggered up he grunted, still holding his chest with his let arm. If he did nothing he was going to lose, no question. If he acted, and did at least something he'd have some sort of shot at turning his current situation around. Charlie tried to run forward and slide at the last second, kicking at Ryans legs to sweep them out from underneath! As Charlie began to move he realized he wasn't running so much as staggering, and he was going a lot slower than he'd like to.

Ryan was feeling weary, sweat going down his pale chest. But he knew he needed to keep going, Ryan was confident that he could outlast and obtain victory. It was just a matter of when, in the mind of the paragon of Britain at least. He gave a loud exhale, almost like one of exhaustion. Kinda reminded him of dealing with Lucy when she was trolling him.

And sure enough Ryan was soldiering on, he had no choice. But if he could just land one decisive hit, that could seal the deal and the match. But fortune struck! For when Charlie would attempt his leg kick, Ryan's reaction time kicked in. Allowing the paragon of Britain to sidestep it so he was on Charlie's left, Mr Knight would then try to grab Charlie's nearest leg and attempt to flip him over for a one legged boston crab.

Charlie's attempt to get back on top in this match backfired! He felt his leg being wrenched and screamed in agony as the hold was applied. This guy was strong but also had a very sound technical base. A terrible combination for Charlie to match up against. Right now he was in a horrible position as a single leg boston crab was applied. Charlie expected more out of himself, and even though his opponent was what he considered a top-notch fighter he was embarassed to have so easily been put in a nasty hold such as this.

Charlie knew he had to get out of the hold somehow, and looked up towards the ropes. He reached out and scrambled to pull himself over there musting up as much power as well as energy as his battered body could.
