[FWC] Peace Of Mind - Mikoto Kusanagi vs. Chris Morgan

Mikoto was just starting to get her bearings again when she felt Chris lower the winded priestess into the corner, her arms hanging limply behind the top ropes. Fighting someone of Chris†strength was already proving to be a major headache, knowing this would be an uphill battle but the full realization of her situation only now truly sinking in. Miko looked up at the phenom with a glare in her eyes as Chris continued to belittle the priestess. *….Does she really think she can justify her actions to me? All that sheâ€s done?* But before Miko could answer back Chris crouched before her and started ramming her shoulder into Mikos tight midriff.

“Oooph!!” Each ramming charge pushed more and more air out of her lungs, causing Mikos body to bounce in and out of the turnbuckle until the final one left her sitting on the middle turnbuckle. Once the ref caused the break up, after a second or two Miko willed herself out of the corner and walked slowly but steadily towards Chris, one arm over her abs and her head held low. “…..Youâ€re right. I was a child back then, to think things would turn out alright in the end…..once things starting getting bad. But what I DO know…..is what itâ€s like to lose all my friends and see us slowly drift apart. And what itâ€s like to see my family in pain because of people like you. And thatâ€s why…..”, Miko would raise her head and steady her breathing, falling back into her judo stance, only a little shakier than normal. “…..Iâ€m standing against it this time.”

*Her friends lost...her family in pain? She's gone through so much misery since the federation collapsed! Nothing I can say will heal that sort of outrage.* Chris thought to herself. However, a colder part of had been born out of what happened and it was this part of her that made her remember her resolve. *But, I didn't come here to talk, because no words of mine will make a difference to them. No, I came to stand before them, and be the target of all that anger. So I need to pull myself together, and do what I came to do.*

"Is that so?" Chris replied coolly. "I did this to you? Brought grief to your family, sent you and your friends drifting so you'd eventually grow apart?"
She raised an eyebrow.
"Well, that is a lot of suffering, little girl." she went on. "But....still it's the pain of one person. My reasons for being here aren't about one single person. They involve everyone from our former little league."
Her eyes held Mikoto's gaze
"Every. Single. Wrestle Angel."
Chris held her arms wide, spreading them in a grappler's stance.
"So, do what you must. Do what you can. But, I promise you, it won't stop me."

“Y-you….what….more….can you do to us!?” Glaring at her in anger, Chris†ominous words stuck like daggers in Mikotos mind, trying to contemplate just what this vile woman had in store for the remnants from her former wrestling league. Did she have something else in mind for the veterans of the now defunct federation, not just content in taking away their livelihoods? Miko clenched her fists in frustration, every time Chris spoke she not only disregarded her past actions as well as Mikotos feelings as trivial, but even promised to bring the priestess more of the same misery. No one had ever enraged her as much as the blonde colossus was doing…

“Haaah!!” Hearing all that she could stomach from the former champion, Mikoto ran forward with a shrill war cry. With such heightened emotions Miko nearly abandoned any thought of fighting strategically, only thinking of defending any of her friends who remained from this villainess. Stopping a few feet short of Chris, Miko planted her feet and bend to her knees to propel her upwards as high as she could, wrapping her legs around Chris head in the process. Staying perched atop Chris†shoulders and straddling her head briefly, Miko would lean back sharply and hopefully flip the phenom onto her back in a hurricanrana!!!

The crowd cheered as Mikoto ran forward, urging their chosen favorite on as she closed the distance between her and her larger opponent.
Chris's eyes narrowed as the Asian woman took to the air, managing to amazingly leap to the height required to get her legs around the American's head. The crowd gasped in wonder as Mikoto sailed up to land on her perch.

However, Chris would plant herself, her arms reaching to clasp the lighter woman's body to anchor her in a sitting position on her shoulders.
"No." her voice sounded out, although muffled by the fact that she was speaking from between the Japanese woman's thighs.
Then the Californian colossus took a few steps forward before jumping to a seated position on the ground. Her arms would push down on Mikoto's body while in the air, planting her to the mat with a sitout powerbomb, trying to deliver a devastating counter to the hurricarana that Mikoto attempted.

Mikoto was overcome with the primal urge to defeat the blonde colossus, her burning desire clouding her judgment and causing her to attempt riskier maneuvers in the hopes of seeing the Californian finally fall. Chris had thoroughly gotten to the priestess†psyche and was inside her mind, but Miko wouldnâ€t realize this truth until she tried to propel herself backwards to complete the hurricanrana only to be stuck in place by Chris†hands on her thighs.

*….N-no….C-canâ€t!!!….* Dread immediately washed over Miko once she realized the precariousness of her situation, her heartbeat racing as she was stuck six feet off the ground trapped in the phenomâ€s clutches. Flashes of light flickered throughout the stadium as cameras shots captured the moment before what was sure to be an epic powerbomb. Miko shook her head as if in denial of what was about to happen, tightening her thighs around Chris†captured head and sending several fists into the blonde tuft of hair between her legs. If the act of desperation didnâ€t work than Miko would scream briefly before being slammed into the ring in the sit-out powerbomb, her legs stiffening and shooting out to the roof before resting over Chris†shoulders as Miko laid there spread out…

Mikoto must've discovered early that her hurricarana was ill advised, Chris reasoned as the woman's fists began to come down on her head. However the blonde gritted her teeth against the pain as she took a few steps and then came down in a sitting position. As she did, her arms pushed down on the miko's torso, adding force to the powerbomb.

The crowd went silent as the move finished, and Mikoto was splayed out on the mat. Chris simply remained how she landed, using Mikoto's legs on her shoulders to press the Japanese woman's shoulders to the canvas. The ref saw the pin and dropped down to begin counting.
"One!" she called, her hand thumping down on the mat.

The meteoric impact had left Miko a flattened mess in the middle of the ring, the glaring white lights from the roof of the stadium blinding her as she tried to open her eyes. For all of her boisterous talk and bold proclamations the priestess had barely managed to put up any type of decent offense, the phenom overpowering her attempts to fight back at every oppurtunuity. Her embarrassing display so far instilled little confidence in the audience that Miko would avenge her friends.

“Nngh…” Mikoto felt Chris grab her legs and use them as leverage to pin her down to the mat and curl her up into a quivering ball with her butt sticking up into the air. The sound of the referee slamming her hand into the mat brought some life back to the priestess with her eyes squinting open. The Californian was seconds away from putting the priestess away as another name on her long list of victims, but Mikoto deep down still remembered what she was fighting for. With no time to think after the two count and feeling nearly all of her body weight on her shoulders, Miko instead attempted to shoot her legs forward to roll out of the pin, leaving her sprawled out on the mat clutching her lower back.

The crowd let out a relieved gasp as Mikoto managed to roll out of the pin.
"Well done." Chris said softly.

Getting to her feet, she found herself pleased that Mikoto had the strength to dig down and keep going. In a way it was a sort of pride, seeing how she had come from the same federation as Chris. Wrestle Angels wouldn't be beaten so easily.

Looking down, Chris reached for Mikoto's arm to begin pulling her to her feet. Once that was done, the American would whip her into the ropes at the side of the ring, then would to take a step forward, leg lashing out to try and deliver a big boot to a hopefully oncoming Mikoto.

The priestess still felt the numbing pain in her in her back after the brutal counterattack, attempting to rub and soothe her aches away before Chris regrouped and continued to demonstrate her immense strength at Mikoâ€s expense. Mikoto knew before this match started that making mistakes against a wrestler of Chris†caliber meant a night of being slammed and tossed around like a ragdoll, but her own fragile emotional state combined with the Phenoms cold-hearted apathy absolutely took her out of her game. Lying flat on the mat in this stunned state, she could barely hear the audiences†cheers and encouragement to get back in the fight. But she did hear them, willing herself back to her hands and knees before being yanked up by Chris herself.

Groaning out in pain before being tossed into the ropes, Miko knew she needed to start fighting smart now or risk taking even more punishment from the former champion. With a look of renewed determination, Miko continued to implement one of her only advantages in this match, side stepping the big boot and running up to wrap her left arm around Chris†neck and her own left arm. Once she locked her hands behind her opponent and standing to her side, Mikoâ€s left leg would coil behind Chrisâ€, kicking it out from behind with Miko pushing her upper body forward in the hopes of finally bringing down the Californian Colossus, never releasing her chokehold even after they were taken off their feet.

"HAH!!"

The American had thrown that kick with almost all of her formidable strength. However, when Mikoto dodged it, it left Chris off balance, stumbling forward. Catching herself took precious time, and it left her vulnerable. The quicker Mikoto struck at that moment taking her down with a quick kick at the leg that was under Chris, and wrapping her in a chokehold.

The crowd let out a cheer as the blonde went down with a strangled groan. To Chris, this was unexpected. She had expected the Japanese woman to fight a keep away sort of match, using hit and run strikes to try and wear her down. But trapping her in a chokehold, willingly entering close combat with her? It was startling. And it was a hell of a hold too. Chris knew that air was going to become a problem quickly here...
