The Friction Spotlight featuring Taylor Parker!

Adrian settled for rolling her eyes as Taylor made yet another jab at her not making the cut. "I've never actually met Rally," she said absent mindedly "I don't think she's actually been around since your tables match with her. So you'd be handing the power to a ghost. So yeah, massive improvement on Lukretia. Heck I'd probably kick her out alltogether. Call her up and be all 'Hey, I'm boss now so you're outta here. Thank you, Fuck you, bye!' something like that."

"As for something other than that? Well, maybe I'd like to give the titles a little more structure to them. Where I used to wrestle, back in the states, we had a system there. Win 3 matches in a row, get a title shot. Lose a match go right back down to the bottom of the pile. Not sure how you'd differentiate between all the singles belts though. Maybe instead of getting an Entropy title shot, you could like, move up to the big leagues with it and have a run at the World title." She explained, as though she'd put some actual thought into this topic. "But yeah, I gotta agree with Taylor, scrap the kawaii and the hentai divisions. I know, that's gonna be unpopular, but you've got people coming all over the world here, I think we can give ourselves a better reputation than just being dismissed as a porn site. Wrestling first and all that."

"Right on." At least they had one thing to agree on. Taylor leaned across the table toward Adrian's side and extended a fist at her. "Bump my fist. Bump it."

"Yaay, agreement!" Adrian smirked, meeting Taylor's fist with her own.

"OK, looks like I'm up!" Alaina thought to herself as she stood up from her seat in the audience and made her way to the mic. She was dressed in jeans, running sneakers, and a dark hoodie. Being a rookie very few people have heard of, and being dressed the way she was Alaina thought she should at least introduce herself... even if she knew Taylor a little bit.

"Hello Taylor and Adrian, I'm Alaina Sanders. Ah, my question is also for the both of you. If there was one trait, talent or whatever that separates a good fighter from a great one, what would it be in your respective opinions?" Alaina asked before moving onto her prediction. "I don't know very much about either of you when it comes down to it, but I do forsee a knock-down, drag-out helluva good fight. In the end....it could realistically go either way but I think Taylor will come out on top. Thank you for your time and giving me the chance to ask a question."

Alaina gave both women a polite nod and wave before stepping back from the mic and taking her seat.

"Ahhh, sono teineida, neee?" Taylor had to laugh at Alaina's super-respectful exterior. Which was possibly the same as her interior, at least as far as she knew.

But it was a good question. She had to think about it.

"Adrian, you should be taking notes, here, man." She said, and then stared off at the ceiling in thought. "I don't think it's any one thing, really. You've got to be smart, talented, and you need to work really fuckin' hard. And you need to be crazy enough to put everything on the line in front of everybody and you've got to love doing it. There are a lot of easier ways to make a living, know what I mean?

"Everyone's at least a little afraid in there, but you can't let that stop you. Just use that to get better. You can't ever let anything stop you, and that's probably the most important thing. Your heart. Losses, broken bones, bruised egos, broken confidence, lost friends, no friends, whatever. All of it, you just take it and keep going. Don't ever stop."

Ugh, another question that Taylor got to answer first, another one throwing their vote of confidence to Taylor. It didn't matter if they both said it was going to be good or close or whtever, Taylor seemed to have everyone in her corner and Adrian had pretty much nobody. "I've seen a lot of bad wrestlers with that never-say-die attitude too." Adrian pointed out. "Heart and determination can only take you so far. Eventually you're gonna hit a brick wall that doesn't give a shit how many times you smash into it headfirst, or your body is just going to go 'Nope' and that's it. Boom, wheelchair for life."

"It is something to do with talent that separates good from great, but it's really hard to explain what it is and why it works so well. Great wrestlers, really great wrestlers are so few and far between it's difficult to pinpoint what it is about them that puts them a rung above everyone else. It's not enough to be just good at what you do, things have to be just right, you gotta connect with people, and when other people do a thing you do, you gotta make sure people think they're copying you and not the other way around."

Next up was a green haired girl wearing a floppy hat, suspenders and lots of strange tattoos. She took the microphone and sighed."If it was a best two of three falls for style, I'd take Adrian for the sweep. Well, since it's wrestling, I'll still vote for Adrian. My question? How will you pace yourself so you don't run out of gas? Or rather... how can you make sure that the end of the match isn't two dying fish flopping around hoping one lands on the other and scores a garbage pin? I mean, how can you keep it interesting?" Vanderdecken said in a flat tone.

Hooray! A vote for Adrian, she tried her best not to look smug when Vanderdecken predicted a potential sweep in Adrian's favor, even if she was weird there was still someone who believed in her that wasn't her girlfriend/best friend/trainer/buddy! The former cosplayer was pretty bad at not looking smug about things. "Well I guess the easiest way would be to win quickly, not let it take that long. But really, pacing yourself is one of the hardest things because you don't know how long you're gonna be out there unless it's an ironman match. Do you risk going all out early and winning in 5 so you're still fresh for the aftershow party, or plan for the long haul which is technically the safer bet but you might make more work for yourself than really needed."

"As for me personally, I could probably go 70 minutes and only feel the effects of being tired after the final bell. Adrenaline's a hell of a drug man, and even if it does just end up with us trading one punch every 10 minutes, by the time it takes us to get to that point a lot of people would probably be glad that we've slowed down a bit, give them time to take it all in and stuff."

Taylor fidgeted in her seat while Adrian answered. It was really hard for her to just sit there and wait her turn. Especially when some clown gave her the vote of un-confidence.

"A'right," she said when Adrian finally wrapped up, and gestured at Vanderdecken with one hand. "You wanna talk about style? No big surprise that some Little Rascals reject has bad taste. Just look at me." She spread her arms out to the sides. "I am more entertaining in my sleep than half the cranky bitches here are on their best night. There has never been a boring moment in my whole career.

"Anyway, this match won't have time to slow down, because I'm gonna go in there and knock this bitch the fuck out, and pin her, nice and easy. Second fall, I'll just wake her up and pin her again, because this time when you pass out I'm not gonna throw in the towel for you.

"And seventy minutes? Motherfucker, what planet are you from? If you do anything for seventy minutes and you're not tired, you're not doing it right. We're not playing fuckin' Pokemon in there, Captain N, it doesn't matter how long your batteries last.

"But to answer your question, Pig-Pen? I'm gonna do shit to this girl that's gonna flip you out. You're gonna watch it again, and rewind it and slow it down 'n junk, and Adrian, babe, you're gonna need some crazy shit for your costume this time if you want to get noticed, because this match is all me."

Taylor leaned back from the table and looked around for her water cup, but it seemed to have disappeared with the other table. "Oh, hey," she said softly over her shoulder in Hilde's direction. "Could I get some water, please?"

"Please." Adrian dismissed as Taylor went off on one. "You couldn't keep Heather down for the 3 count, how the heck are you supposed to deal with someone who wont just roll over and let you beat the shit out of her." It was a low shot to be fair, and Adrian had been friends with Heather Sunderland, but she knew the reference would get right under the blonde's skin. "~Next question~" She said in a sickeningly sweet tone.
