Combat Attitude:

Risako usually behaves in an aloof and calm manner in her matches, though depending on her opponent, she may treat them with quiet respect or with subtle derision. Though she usually keeps calm and collected matches, she is above teasing or flirting with opponents she deems to be cute.


Combat Strategy:

Risako's strategy may differ from match to match, depending on who she's fighting. More often than not, she will aim for a pinfall after battering her opponent with a variety of strikes and slams, but she's not above stretching opponents into a submission sometimes or squeezing them into a K.O.


Combat Style:

Interestingly, Risako doesn't seem to focus on any one combat style. The former WA champion is well versed in several different techniques and styles, and uses this versatility to excellent effect in the ring. Although Risako has a marked preference for aerial moves and power slams, she is just as willing and able to win by submission, KO, or or by slowly wearing down an opponent's ability to fight. The tradeoff, though, is that while Risako is versatile in a wide range of moves, she is truly excellent only in a few.

Common Finishers

Kyapuchudo (Cradle Suplex)- Risako's most common finisher is her Kyapuchudo-- a no-frills cradle suplex. While there is nothing truly unique about this move, Risako is usually able to deliver it with enough power and force that her opponent usually can't fight back that well afterwards.

Personality:

As a wrestler who strives to maintain an elegant appearance, Risako has the personality to match. Calm, collected and graceful, Risako maintains a level head throughout her matches, and is more given to subtle mockery and veiled insults than to crude trash talk. In the ring, she is calm, composed and serious, able to lay down a bruising on her opponent without batting an eyelash.

Risako is not without her soft side, however. To her friends, she acts very much like an older sister, chiding or correcting them, and sometimes protecting them. She also loves teasing friends or opponents whom she considers to be cute-- something that both Blade Uehara and Yoshihara Mimi can attest to. Unlike many of the other former Wrestle Angels, Risako is also not above hentai matches, and even in regular matches, she will sometimes indulge in risque behaviour at the expense of her opponent.



History:

Risako Sakuma, better known as "Panther Risako," is considered by many to be a living legend of the Wrestle Angels league. One of the earlist girls to join the league at its inception, Risako quickly made a name for herself as a skilled competitor. During the earlier years of Wrestle Angels, Risako became fast friends with the "Eagle of Okinawa," Blade Uehara, and the two formed a highly successful tag team. Risako's sheer power and skill meshed well with Uehara's high flying antics, and while they often had arguments and disagreements-- for Risako's calm and regal personality contrasted sharply with Uehara's spunkiness-- they were still an effective team.

This all changed, however, when in one match, Risako accidentally broke the leg of her opponent, Dragon Fujiko. Shocked at what she had done, Risako began to hold back in her matches, fearful that she might seriously injure an opponent again. This led to Risako and Uehara experiencing a string of defeats, and, fed up with her partner's lack of effort, Uehara split up with her tag partner. Risako continued to fare poorly on her own until, finally, fan-favourite Mighty Yukiko convinced her to join the power stable she was forming to challenge Beauty Ichigaya. The fact that Yukiko was a long-standing friend of Fujiko's convinced Risako that she didn't need to let her guilt over the incident destroy her career.

Risako briely retired for one year after the events of the first Wrestle Angels league, before returning to Wrestle Angels later on. It was during this period that she not only gained the World Championship, but also earned the nickname "the Queen of Queens." Eventually, though, the Wrestle Angels league collapsed, and Risako was forced to move on to different federations.

After bouncing from league to league, Risako has finally landed in the AFW. Here, she only hopes to fight new opponents, win over the crowd, and above all, to remind people why she is the Queen of Queens.
