Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Maybe it would. I dunno the guy XD.
Dude, That Batista-RKO-Bomb was AWESOME
although...
This is the second time
where a wrestlemania main event ended when
a man who was a member of Evolution tapped out to the Crossface,
in a triple threat match, for the World Title
and Triple H was involved in it and the eventual winner
got put through the announcers table
and that match was 10 years ago at Wrestlemania 20

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
It was, Both matches were.
I just found it odd that they had those exact things in common.
Kinda makes you wonder if they planned it that way or if was all just coincidence

Insert generic I'm pissed off that Undertaker lost at wrestlemania post here. But the rest of the ppv was good.

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
Opening: Rock/Austin/Hogan
Unlike Wrestlemania 27, this didn't suck and kill the crowd. Rather, it fired them up to see something amazing. Any other three guys would have been lame, but these three pulled it off perfectly. Even Hogans "SILVERDOME" mistake, normally a stupid botch for Botchmania, just made the moment better. It was a historic moment to be sure, and a great way to kick things off.
1st Match: Daniel Bryan vs Triple H
In terms of one on one matches, this match was the best match of the night. If it wasn't for the Triple Threat match, it would have been Match of the Night for sure. Just awesome match, awesome work on both sides. The crowd was into it, Triple H was heeling it up and even did a couple things nobody expected. The Tiger Suplex for example, which I'm pretty sure is a banned move since we never see it.
Even the ending, the out of nowhere Knee strike finish was great. I can't really say anything bad about it.
2nd Match: The Shield vs Attitude Era:
Worst match of the night, yet not actually a bad match. Clearly their time got cut by the opening promo and the 1st match, so they rushed it. That being said, it was still fine. The Old Age Outlaws aren't relevant anymore and are basically just hogging up spotlight, while Kane is in the twilight of his career and wants to put over young talent, so having the Shield dominate was fine. The Double Spear, and especially Double/Triple Powerbomb finish still provided a Wrestlemania moment, so the match did its job just fine, even with the limited time.
3rd match: Battle Royal.
Battle Royals aren't known so much for match quality as they are for incredible and shocking moments, and this provided. Eliminations were fun, Kofi Kingston did his most reckless stunt yet, and CESARO OWNED THAT MATCH. Swiss Uppercuts all over the place, LIFTING THE BIG SHOW AND THROWING HIM OUT OF THE RING, which NOBODY has ever done, was fucking HUGE. Cesaro deserves it, and hopefully will get a great push out of it. Again, nothing bad to say.
4th Match: Bray Wyatt vs John Cena
First off The live performance of Bray's theme music was AWESOME. WAY better than Motorhead and Saliva's work and even better than Living Colors performance last year. Hopefully WWE keeps hiring talented bands for the job. Having live entrance themes at Mania is a great touch, when done right.
The match itself...was interesting. The story was actually pretty good, trying to break John Cena and all, it was basically "Embrace the hate" except it actually seemed to work. Frankly, the only reason Cena DIDN'T break was because Rowan was a dumbass and got on the apron at the wrong moment.
Wrestling wise, it wasn't bad either, but the match dragged near the middle. It was a case of story over skill, but they should have cut their time by at least 3 minutes or so to keep things from lagging. It was like last years Triple H vs Brock match. Good match, but got more time then it should have.
Also, freaky crab walk is freaky as fuck.
5th match: Lesnar vs Undertaker.
Heymans promo before the match: Fucking Amazing
The match itself...ok. Taker's age and limitations kept it a mostly punch kick style match...which is fine for a bit, but really does not work for an entire match. Hopefully Brock can get a fued where he can start doing his old power moves again, because punch kick UFC gimmicks don't work in a 20 minute wrestling match setting. Instead, it gets boring. That being said, credit to Brock for keeping Undertaker as safe as he could, despite that bad fall Taker took outside the ring.
Ultimately, the match itself was fine and irrelevant, as all that matters in the end is the finish...and what a finish it was.
Whatever your opinion on it is, it can't be denied that it was still an incredibly powerful, emotional, and historic moment.
Also, Brock Lesnar is the sweatiest motherfucker on the planet.
6th Match: Divas battle royal.
Half the people were in the bathroom
Half were crying
nobody cares
7th match: Triple Threat World Title match
As much as I hate Batista, I will give him full credit, he did great here, as well as Orton and Daniel Bryan and Triple H and..fucking everybody.
We got a great match, a hot crowd, an amazing table spot, even a call back for the entire fued by Triple H bringing in that crooked ref, which shows a sense of continuity that WWE rarely does, and a finish that let the crowd go home happy.
Combine that with another great live band performance for Orton, and you have whats honestly the best triple threat main event in Wrestlemania history and one of the best triple threat matches in WWE history, even with its similarities to wrestlemania 20.
Also, WWE network got over half a million subscribers. What do you guys think? That more then you expected? Is it shockingly low? Is it a failure? A success?

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
I think Wrestlemania was awesome.
I love Bork Lasers and think it is great that he ended the streak.
Undertaker did the right thing, retiring by giving a push to another wrestler.
Paul Heyman promo was amazing!
The only thing that could have made this Wrestlemania better would have been Cena turning heel...
and a Divas match where the girls actually wrestled.
and if someone shoot Vicky Guerrero.

The right thing would have been to give the push to a younger wrestler who needs it and isn't a part-timer like Lesnar.Undertaker did the right thing, retiring by giving a push to another wrestler.
And you'll be happy. Vickie is leaving the company. :/
