Fingerpoke is only my third fondest memory of swerve bullshit from WCW^^
5. Shockmaster Entrance and later rework of the Shockmaster after that, that was awesomly bad.
4. Buff Bagwell working with LA Parka and no selling everything
3. Fingerpoke of Doom
2. Russo booking himself to win the WHC and the look on Hogans face!
1. Jeff Jarrett laying down for Hogan and Hogan shooting/working afterwards

As funny as the match Hogan vs HBK was and as much as everybody loves them, it was basically just 2 jerks in one ring at a PPV and comes right after that shoots and stupid works from WCW in terms of low quality. The one was a face that could not loose at 45+, the other jerk was butthurt the other one did not want to job in return.^^

I'm actually siding with HBK on this one. If rumors are to be believed, Hogan was the one that changed the match from its original two match story into one match, then insisted upon winning, even though there was no point to him winning and it simply made far more sense for HBK to get the win.

Besides, lets be completely honest here....If we had seen that match WITHOUT HBK botching all over the place like a giant goof....would the match be any good? No. It wouldn't. It would be a very boring match with the same cliche "Hogan wins lol" ending.

For all the talk of "Cenawinslol" that goes on, at Summerslam 2005 Cena actually sold pretty damn well for Jericho before getting the win.

I mean, ok, Cena is as bad as Hogan in the ring with his comeback magic as the formula is basically the same(Big Boot - Legdrop vs. Five knuckle shuffle - AA). But Hogan would have never allowed himself to be booed out of the building for years without stepping in to change his character with his creative control clause to get cheered again.

Besides, Hogan > Cena in terms of promo ability. Cena is nothing but a smug, heat leeching asshole these days with his promos. I can even understand him as I would probably be pissed too if booed mercilessly while trying to be the guy kids can look up to, but I seriously doubt that Hogan would have ever been caught doing the SW promo or feed me more cheerleading and changed his character.

For all of Hogans flaws like his disaster of a family life, a sex tape, politics and the shoots against or about him, if Cena does not up his game considerably in promos and starts to produce epic moments instead of fuckeries like the end of the last WM with his gloating, he will always just be a pale reflection of Hogan. Of course that works only if you have guys that can go over him clean or at least in a competetive match with a distraction finish/weapon use as he probably does not want to turn heel in the near future, so the ball is also in the court of WWE.

You know what was actually a good late 90s gimmick match? The Lion's Den match. That was pretty cool.
