Not quite War of the Roses: Aria Holt (D) vs Rebecca Owens

Another day, and another Debutie that Rebecca was being asked to fight. She had come to accept that she was good at judging the power of these newcomers to the AFW and if she was being honest she looked forward to it. She liked going into these matches blind as her opponent often did not have the experience she did and it helped even out the playing field. All she knew of this one was her name, Aria Holt.

The sound of her entrance music began to play and Rebecca exploded out onto the stage, giving her warmth and stomping with the music before marching down to the ring, her long red hair flowing behind her like a pennant. She interacted with a few fans as she went down nodding and shaking hands but soon she reached the ring and clambered in, giving the audience her Warrior's salute before settling into the corner to wait.

After her entrance, the opposing wrestler's music began to play, with the emerging debutee stepping out into the stage by the 0:55 mark, revealing a lanky looking woman looking like she just came in from a Renaissance Faire, longsword and all.

She headed over to the ring, finger pointed at Rebecca with her sword by her shoulder before she held onto the ropes, using them to help herself up to the ring before stepping inside of the squared circle, moving over to her respective corner as she sets the weapon aside, tugging on her gloves to adjust them, alongside fiddling with her beret.

This entrance played upon her very wants and desires. Ever since she had been a little girl she had adored stories and legends about warriors and knights. It was the whole reason why she used the warrior motifs as her go to, because thst was to her the pinicle of her fighting career, to reach that peak. "A pleasure to meet you fellow warrior, I hope we can make this a truly legendary test of our skills." In her excitement a bit more of the French accent came out than intended

Placing her hands on her hips, she scoffed quite a bit, looking over at Rebecca with daggers in her eyes as Rebecca tries to converse with her a bit before the match starts.

"Don't disappoint me. I'd hate to see another victory for the crown."

She simply said, in reference after hearing Rebecca's accent slip as she prepared herself mentally and physically. Her only taste of Pro Wrestling experience prior was on the independent circuit with smaller crowds in comparison. But now? She hopes to make enough of an impression in this foreign land.

Rebecca spent what little free time she gave herself reading up on history so it did not take long for her to piece together what Aria was talking about. "You really going to bring up the 100 years war NOW?!! That makes this easier, just don't be surprise when you lose this time." She settled herself into her fighting stance then once the bell rang she held up her hands, looking to test this English Dog's strength.

Aria simply scoffed at Rebecca's declaration, as she folded her arms, shaking her head as a reply. As the bell sounded, she strutted over to Rebecca, circling around the ring just a bit, slowly reaching out her hands to connect with hers.

Locking hands with Rebecca to push back and start the test of strength, the girl would attempt lifting her leg up to kick down the connection between the right arms right after a few seconds to separate the hold halfway. Should she be successful, she would try following that up with a no-frills hip toss.

Spoiler:

Any girl who could toss Rebecca was quite something. Even if it was only a hip toss, it still gave Rebecca a nasty landing on her back and drove a little air from her. She shook it off quickly however and rose to her feet again before swinging a chop at the others chest. If that worked she would repeat a few more times before grabbing her arm and attempting to pull her in for a lariat
.

Seeing her fall on the mat, Aria would then attempt to follow up her throw but stepped back a bit in surprise, seeing Rebecca get up to her feet quickly. The shock made enough of a distraction to allow the Frenchwoman to land an initial chop to the girl's chest, setting the girl up for further strikes to the chest!

Grunting in pain from the chops, she was pulled over for the lariat, getting hit with it head on. However, Aria tucked in her knees as she was flipped from the force, allowing the Renaissance fair regular to land on her feet, which netted a sound of surprise from the gazing audience.

"It is going to take more than that to get me off my feet!"

She declared, raising her arms in a cocky manner, as she then put them in front of her, expressing a "Come On!" gesture to Rebecca as she anticipated her next attack, continuing to be the wrestler on the defensive.

Surviving that level of attack was quite impressive, that lariat could have taken of her head, but she tanked it and even landed right in her feet. This was definitely an opponent to keep an eye on.

"It may take more, but I have got more to give." She moved forward looking to grab her by the shoulders and get h e r into a side headlock as a preparation for a bulldog.

Stepping forward in unison with Rebecca, the two locked in again, this time in the standard fare collar & elbow position. With the two at even footing once more, Aria and Rebecca vied for position before the Frenchwoman slips her arms into Aria's neck, putting her into a headlock as she felt a bit of pressure, but not enough that implied it was a choke attempt.

Sensing that something may be up, the debutee attempts to grab hold of the supporting arm (Not the one holding her head in place), hoping to yank it away and pin it behind Rebecca's back with a rear wristlock.
