Rosa "Crusher" Cabrera vs Maria Castillo (Debut)

Maria had only been here for two weeks and already she had gotten beat up, ambushed, and thoroughly humiliated by upstarts who wanted to end her career before she could even get her debut match. It wasn't enough to beat her. No. They wanted to destroy the image that she had worked so hard to preserve. The legacy of La Parca was sacred to her and her family. The foundations built by her grandfather had lasted for two more generations, and she'd be damned if anyone was going to put her on the shelf like that.

She adjusted her mask in the locker room, watching the intimidating set of silver eyes reflect back at her from the mirror, while her mind recalled what came after, almost like someone loading a film canister into a projector at the cinema. She had slammed open the door to the head of Friction, seething with justified anger as she demanded she be put in a match at the next AFW televised show. When asked who, she just gave one reply, "Anyone!" she growled, stalking off, "If they insist on sullying the name of this mask and MI FAMILIA, I WILL show them why it's dangerous to underestimate me!"

Within an hour, the match was set for the next show, Maria's promo picture being displayed against a mystery opponent. Clearly they wanted to keep the audience in suspense, so she couldn't say she was that surprised. Checking over her gear, she shouldered the heavy golden weight of the Aztec Championship, walking out through the curtains and into the blinding light of the arena itself. Truth be told Maria had wrestled in front of large crowds before, but Japan....that was something else.

Her music, fresh from the production office, kicked into gear. Even Maria cocked her head at the strange choice of non vocal arrangement, but the song felt...dangerous. Perfect. Rolling into the ring, the luchadora perched herself up on the middle rope, holding her title up high as the announcer stepped forward.

"The following contest is set for one fall with a thirty minute time limit. Introducing first, from Gudalajara Mexico, weighing in at 150 pounds, La Parca!!!!!" he called, with a chorus of cheers meeting the announcement. Leaping down with a small thud, she looked up the ramp, ready for whatever surprise the higher ups wanted to serve her.

Rosa was backstage and watched her opponent making her way out and shook her head. She seemed to have plenty of flair for the dramatic, but Rosa thought all that was unnecessary. She was going to simply go out there and try to hammer her way to a win, the way she did every time she set foot in a ring.

Soon the large latina was in the gorilla position, stepping out into the arena as soon as her music played. She came out standing tall and walking down to the ring, her gaze constantly focused on Maria. She was making an AFW debut and Rosa was going to do her best to ruin that. She climbed up onto the apron then over the ropes, holding a fist in the air. It had been too long since she was called on to set foot in the ring, and that felt good. Rosa looked over at Maria and shook her head.

"I hope you aren't too upset when I knock your ass out during your debut." Rosa said coldly as she stood in the center of the ring staring over at Maria.

Maria's silver eyes fixed upon Rosa the moment she made her way out of gorilla position, and part of her wanted to inwardly curse at fate itself. Was this some kind of sick joke the universe was trying to play on her? Ever since she showed up here, she has been set upon by giants and musclebound monsters. All of them sought to bring her down, end her career, or just embarrass her, and this Rosa looked no different.

Even Rosa getting into the ring didn't assuage her doubts. She easily gave up 5 inches of height to the Crusher, not to mention their weight difference. Maria kept herself toned for a nice balance of speed and strikes, but Rosa was built to destroy. Muscles on muscles.....this wasn't going to be easy at all, but Maria had done the impossible before. She was confident she could do it again.

"I sincerely doubt that Senorita." Maria replied, handing the heavy title belt to the ref, "You'll just be another name to add to the list of those who tried"

"Hmph, whatever." Rosa said dismissively to Maria. As the bell rang Rosa would try to lash out immediately, swinging her leg up to try to start things off with a hard, fast toe kick to the abdomen to stun Maria right at the start of the match! Rosa was not messing around with this woman. She had not been in the ring in a while, and she wanted to remind this crowd why she was not a woman anyone should take lightly!

Maria had learned her lesson from her previous experiences with AFW wrestlers, especially ones who had a bit too much ambition for their own good.

The boot barely missed her skull, with the veteran ducking down on all fours! Never missing a beat, she threw her body forward in a roll, scampering back up to deliver a snap kick to the back of Rosa's knee! The slap earned a sharp "Ooooh.." from the audience, as Maria threw another kick in for good measure!

Rosa swung and missed however she soon felt the price for her miscalculation! Rosa felt a hard kick hit the back of her leg and she stumbled forward, nearly falling as the second kick connected! "NGH! Damn you!" Rosa hissed through grit teeth as she tried to spin around pivoting on her other leg, swinging her fist right at the face of Maria! Rosa wasn't going to stop attacking as she hoped to land a strike against the speedy Maria.

Maria kept circling Rosa, needling her body and legs with precise kicks and strikes to bring her down. Lower...and lower....and lower. At her full height she doubted she could contend with power like hers, but she wasn't backing down, even when a fist rocketed toward her face. Ducking her head to the side, she snagged on to Rosa's arm, swinging her legs up to bring the pair crashing down, and wrenching the limb in one smooth transition into a grueling armbar! The grapple work made the commentary stand up, the crowd not expecting a possible tap out this early in the match! Was such a feat even possible?!

Rose lunged in and quickly found out Maria was ready for her! Rosa felt her arm wrapped up as the momentum caused her to roll and crash on the mat all while her arm was being pulled hard in a painful armbar! Rosa groaned in pain, kicking the mat in agony as she found herself in an absolutely horrible position! Rosa felt like her arm as being rend and knew she had to do something fast! She leaned in to Maria reaching over to try to pull on her own arm to alleviate the pressure while her leaning in and rolling Maria would put her on her shoulders and pin her forcing Maria to abandon the hold!

The crowd was electric now, watching Maria wrench on the arm, determined to force a tap out from her powerhouse of an opponent, or at the very least cause enough damage to lessen the severity of her strikes. Judging from the struggles Rosa was exhibiting, she was at least succeeding in the latter goal.

The luchadora gritted her teeth, feeling Rosa roll her up to try and eek out a pinfall. The ref moved her hand about, checking for Maria's shoulders before she slapped the mat, "One...two...." she began, before she released Rosa, rolling to her feet a small distance away

Rosa was glad to finally be free but her arm was throbbing now. She was in really bad shape while she was struggling to get back up to her feet. Rosa had to try to keep Maria on the defensive which was no small task. Rosa tried to reach out with her good arm to grab Maria by the hair, bringing Maria's head down while Rosa swung her knee up hoping to smash her hard in the face to try to get herself going in this match!
