”Halloween! Halloween!”
Anywhere else, and a crowd of Japanese people chanting for Halloween would be a strange sight. The holiday was gaining popularity, but it wasn’t anywhere near the level on the North American continent. It had only really came to prominence at the turn of the century, and it was only recently getting to the point where it was anything more than an excuse to dress up and party - not exactly an uncommon thing in Japan.
No, they weren’t chanting for Halloween the holiday, but Halloween the Wrestler. And she fucking loved it. ”Scream for me, Tokyo!”
The tiny terror came bursting out from behind the curtains with her Jason mask at the ready and her fist held high as her theme music came blasting out over the speakers. You couldn’t see it with her face obscured, but the reaction took her totally off guard, the kind that she’d never garnered back home. The AFW audience loved their pint-sized wrestlers, and her record-breaking win over Gallium a few weeks back had done her wonders on the message boards, making her something of a meme...which she assumed was a good thing.
It was a thing, one way or another, and a thing that she had little qualms in riding. She even used that clout, small as it was, to get management to give her a match she wanted, which was a brand new concept for her: wrestling people that she wanted to fight, not just the ones she was pitted up against. Speaking of which…
”Rekka Aizawa!”
She pulled up a microphone from her jacket and lifted up her microphone to speak as she made her way down to the ring. ”That’s the name of tonight’s victim, horror fans. I know what you’re thinking: Who the flying flip is Rekka Aizawa?” She looked around, spun on her heel, with her shoulders shrugged and an inquisitive gaze. ”That is the million yen question, and I’ll tell you. Rekka Aizaway is the internet troll who thought she could stir up a witch’s brew with yours truly, the Scream Queen. Apparently she didn’t see what I did to Gallium Heart. Apparently she doesn’t know I specialize in putting bitches on the mat and keeping them down, uno, dos, tres!”
She hopped along with every number, then bounded into the ring with a burst of speed, coming to a sliding stop near the middle. Halloween popped to her feet and spun about to face the ramp with her hip shooting out behind her. ”Come on, baby girl. Movie’s starting, the credits are rolling, everyone’s got their popcorn, and Dama Del Los Muertos wants to dance!”
Halloween tossed her microphone and mask away, then started to bounce from heel to heel, soaking up the crowd’s infinite energy. This was what momentum felt like, what a booming career looked like. She was on a wave, and she just had to ride it all the way out.

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
"...she thinks she's so cool...stealin my thunder...lookin like a discount Death Bunny mark..."
Vengeance would soon be Rekka's. Vengeance for what? Why, talking trash and making Rekka look like some babbling idiot on an IM chat, that's what. No other wrestling rivalry in the history of the federation had been born from stakes higher than these, and the hot-headed redhead was practically itching to get this show on the road already. She continued pouting and grumbling to herself whilst peeking from behind the black curtain at the gorilla position as Halloween riled up the mindless masses from behind that hockey mask of hers. Granted, she had some legit mic skills. Rekka wasn't above issuing some modicum degree of street cred where it was due, but like an acclaimed actor in clown makeup makeup once uttered...wait till they get a load of me. Rekka snickered maliciously to herself while rubbing her hands together...all while AFW personnel at the monitors cocked an eyebrow at Rekka from behind her before shrugging and going back to their duties.
Plumes of fire started began being shot skyward from the top of the ramp as Rekka's metal theme was rocked out from the speakers, all the headbangers in the audience no given reason to do exactly that as flaming imagery was broadcast from the Titan-tron. All before an elongated shadow started stretching out from top of the ramp all the way down the slanted pathway, casting an aura of a harbinger of menace making it's foreboding way towards the ring. Shame that it was deflated the instant it's pint-sized originator shattered that imagery by strutting out and throwing up the devil horns amidst all of the fire and flames. She'd wipe a thumb off of her nose with a sneering smile before unveiling a microphone and bringing it to her mouth as both the flames and her bitchin theme died down. "Ohhh, I'm sorry...but this here movie's rated R, for Rekka. And for extreme violence upon all twin-tailed little poser nobodies...like...you."
Rekka marched downward with a confident swagger and lot's more to say. Steps away from entering the ring before she'd stop just short of doing so. "It seems you just loooove to say my name, don'tcha Halloweenie? Only problem is, I don't like the way you say it. But before I come down there and teach you how to say my name with sum respect...there's just one teeny, tiney little detail you may have glossed over after accepting this match. Ya see... since you're the new hotness around here, crowing on and on about squashing some cream-puff in record time...well, I figured I'd add a minor addendum to tonight's match to give you challenge befitting Hal here, and make it a 2 on 1 gauntlet match. That lightweight Gallium? She was the treat...and well, this right here's the trick." That one word would trigger the start of another theme, and the shuffling appearance of the Grizzly Magnum, Bashira Matsumoto. Trudging down the ramp while cracking her neck from side to side, with the odds of winning now heavily weighed in Rekka's favor. Pun intended.

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
Wait, that was Rekka?
Halloween was kind of surprised by what wound up coming out of that curtain. Truth be told, she’d already gotten a picture of this woman in her head, and, well...she was sure the restless redhead got this all the time, but she’d thought the woman would be taller. The way she’d been blabbing on, she’d at least expected someone a foot or so taller than her, but no - she was an inch over five and a half. A whole lot of mouth, not a lot of body, though it wasn’t like Halloween was in a position to throw that kind of shade.
Great abs, though. Bitch liked her situps, goddamn. She was kind of jealous, being 100% honest.
But despite that, Halloween was still confident she could take her on, didn’t have too much to worry about...that was, until she learned about the reality of what she was dealing with. Her eyes widened to dinner plate size as Rekka’s backup came thundering out from the back. It wasn’t a woman that she was teaming up with - no, this was a mountain with legs. A massive beast of a wrestler, the biggest Halloween had ever seen in this division, at least if you were going pound-for-pound. Any one of her limbs had to weigh more than Halloween’s entire body, and the thought of facing all that, having to get through that to win this setup bullshit match…
Eh. Halloween wasn’t dumb, there was a real, legit urge to just throw it out, right here and now, rather than spend the rest of her life as a pancake. But this was what she’d come to the AFW for, right? She wanted to make waves, wanted to be in the big leagues, wanted to prove she could succeed despite her size. That meant taking what came her way, regardless. Silver Ace wouldn’t run away. Alaina Sanders wouldn’t run away. That was the sort of thing bitch-level kawaiis did, not top-level talent.
”You know what?” Halloween threw her hands up and moved to the center of the ring, beckoning them on. ”Fucking A, let’s go! After I’m done using that mophead of yours to clean the canvas, I’ll still have plenty of energy left for ton-of-fun over there. Don’t give a single fuck how big you are.” She pointed at Rekka’s partner, then gave her the thumbs down. ”Just means you’ll make a lot of noise when you fall down, and you are falling down, gordita. Hard.”
The audience was behind her, at least, giving her a nice, rousing cheer. Support didn’t hurt.

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
Sometimes Rekka thinks she missed her calling as a pencil-pushing wrestling manager, what with how skillfully she can comb through mounds of paperwork and add minor match addendum's somewhere in-between AFW's internal working's. In all honesty though, Rekka still prefers getting her own hands dirty when it comes smacking around smarmy bitches, and all the sweet satisfaction that entails. Accidentally running into the right office dweeb and slyly switching out his dropped documents with Rekka's tweeked copies having brought about tonight's Halloweenie massacre, and the Mass-Murdering Horror Villain of the night was currently making her threatening entrance. This being her second in-ring appearance did little to stifle the astounded stares from the audience at such a mammoth-sized competitor, snorting through her nostrils before hocking a loogie and spitting off to the sides after getting a good look and listen at Halloween. Bashira now having a hankering for a gordita...
"Mwehehehehe...Alright, you remember the plan, right?" Rekka proudly propped her balled fists atop her hips with conniving glee once Bash stood beside her, accentuating the height and mass difference between the odd couple pairing. "You bash her real good, just squash the hell out of her...and than you distract the referee after chucking her to the outside of the ring where I'll be waiting to-"
"MEH."
A thwacking swat from the back of Bashira's gloved hand cutting Rekka off mid-scheme with the Little Hellion comically stumbling off to the side and almost off of her feet were she not so close to the barricade. What was inside of the ring not concerning Bashira as much as the candied spread happening on the outside of the ring. Where there just so happened to be a wooden table festively decorated in Halloween drapes and showcasing several bowls of bite-sized chocolate bars, Starburst, Twix, Snickers, and even those orange peanuts amongst it's cornucopia of sweets. The overweight heavyweight twiddling her fingers in the air with a genuinely joyous smile before she began making a metaphorical pig out of herself with discarded wrappers fluttering about. Rekka taking all of this in stride though as she gawked over towards Bash before reclaiming her lost smile.
"Y-Yeah you're right, that was a stupid plan anyway. Good call buddy~...Okay uh, Plan B than. I'll go in there, beat this bitch's ass, and soften her up for you real good!!! You just hang tight, and watch me end Halloween early..." Rekka's new plan kicking off with her sliding underneath the bottom rope. Taking little time in confidently marching right up to Halloween with a blazing glare, but separated and kept apart by the referee attempting to raise her arms and keep them divided until the bell rang. "Shoulda ran while you had the chance, cause now I'm bout to bitch-slap the smug smile off your face..."

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
Okay, Halloween. Think this through.
So, the main problem was Bash. That was obvious. She was, well...fat, there was no way around it, but if she was just fat, then it wouldn’t have been a problem. She could just outcardio the bitch, easy, run her ragged until she was a sweaty, easily beatable mess. But something about this ton of fun told her that she wasn’t just a mass of adipose tissue - no, there were muscles underneath all that bulk. Kind of a Kingpin ‘it’s all muscle, fool’ thing.
But Rekka wasn’t exactly a nonfactor, either. The redhead was a lot of talk, Halloween could tell that, but she was still a fair bit bigger than she was, had a good deal of muscle going on. Taking her down wasn’t going to be easy. Getting past a molehill, then dealing with the mountain.
Strategy? Be quick. Take out Rekka fast, try and get a surprise pin, save as much energy as she could before she handled the big girl.
”Bitch-slp to my face, huh? Like your big buddy-buddy slapped you, huh?” She snickered and looked off to the side, watching as Bashira started stuffing her face with the candy, filling up her jowls. Kind of gross, really. Maybe if she was lucky, she’d have a stomach ache by the time she got into the ring. It gave Halloween a fun idea, too...
”Ew…” Halloween’s lips curled in disgust. ”What...what is your friend doing?”
The moment Rekka looked around - or even if she didn’t - Halloween burst into action, slipping past the referee, leaping up and smacking her foe in the face with a quick elbow.

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
This was fine. Everything was fine. Rekka was never all that attached to Plan A, not when Plan B was so obviously the better choice of the two. Or at least this was what Rekka kept telling herself to justify being smacked upside her head and abandoned by her rotund tag-team partner who'd rather scarf down on candied treats rather than aide her partner in whatever hackneyed plan she'd concocted. In Bashira's defense though...she was really hungry. Plus she had never really paid all that much attention to the pint-sized brawler regardless, including backstage when Rekka was first unfurling her so-called "Plan" in the first place and started babbling on and on about some asshat named Halloweenie she met in some online chat or something.
Bash only beginning to pay attention when Rekka mentioned the conditions of this match, and how it should be an easy win and possibly provide some chocolatey snacks on the side. Win/Win in her book. Meanwhile, the Little Hellion was the one actually putting in the work as she stood face to face with her archenemy and fought the urge to crack her in the jaw from insinuating that her and Bashira weren't the bestest of friends. But what was that about Bash eatin weird? "Huh? Wha is she eatin the wrappers agai-OOPH!!!" Rekka's diverted attention was rewarded with her second blindsided thwack of the night, mushed into the side of her face and twirling her around onto all fours into an immediate scampering retreat towards the nearest corner turnbuckle which she'd use to climb back to her feet.

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
Was hitting Rekka like this a cheap, dirty move?
Yes. Absolutely.
Did Halloween feel even a tiny little bit bad about that?
Nope, not one iota of guilt. Cero.
After all, given the switcheroo that had been pulled on her, it wasn’t like she could set the bar any lower than her opponent had. So she had zero qualms when it came to leveling things. It was quick, easy, and damned effective. Oh, and seeing the redhead scamper away like that was more than a little funny, too. Hilarious, really. ”Bullseye.”
Instead of closing in on her opponent, Halloween started bouncing back, hopping up and down, making her pigtails jiggle as she made space between them. Getting hyped, getting in the mood, but also creating some distance - she knew exactly what to do next.
As Rekka reached the turnbuckle and started to crawl up the turnbuckle, Halloween ran towards her at full speed, zipping across the ring in a flash. The moment she was close enough, she leaped up and flipped forward, throwing her full body into her [b]Pumpkin Bomb[/i], a move that would smash Rekka’s skull into the turnbuckle and suck mightily.

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
What kinda duplicitous chicanery was this?! Rekka had a difficult time utilizing her hidden talents as a masterful wordsmith to think of more appropriate verbiage in describing Halloween's blindsiding crack to her jaw. The Red-Headed Hellion was practically fuming at her arch-rival as she scurried towards the corner turnbuckle. Partially because Hal here had made her look like a Grade-A chump for making her think Bashira was actually scarfing down on the wrappers...which Bash, coincidentally enough, was in fact doing. But mainly because the twin-tailed punk had stolen Rekka's idea for an opening maneuver before she even got a chance to sucker punch the halloweenie first.
"Rotten little twin-tailed twerp..." Rekka seethed through gritted teeth throughout her crawling trek and looking a tad ridiculous with the speed at which she scooted off, eventually coming to the corner and clenching onto adjoining middle ropes to her side. Her jawline hurt like hell, but that was just because Halloween took her by surprise that's all, nothing more. In fact it was a lot like what came next as the cantankerous spitfire bowled into her from behind to a resounding pop from the audience, Halloween's lower spine slamming into the back of Rekka's noggin and mashing her face into the middle turnbuckle. One knocked loopy red-head flopping like a fish out of the corner to a spread-eagled and grimacing daze...

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
”BOOM!”
A tad cliche, Halloween knew, but she couldn’t think of any onomatopoeia that better suited her mood now. The sheer exhilaration of rushing across the ring. The majestic sensation of flight as she left the canvas and flipped forward. The insanely hilarious sensation of her butt colliding with the back of Rekka’s big-ass head, which would then made her stupid face collide with the turnbuckle.
Passion. Raw, unmatched passion.
And funny as hell, madres dios. Halloween was laughing all the way down, as she rolled off her foe and flopped back to the mat, where she quickly rolled over to see a wondrous sight - Rekka, laying there, laid out like she’d been hit by an actual bomb. A beautiful sight. A pinnable sight.
Halloween wasted not a single second, pouncing on her foe, grabbing her by the leg, lifting it up and leaning on her for the three count.

Re: Rekka Aizawa and Bashira Matsumoto vs. Halloween Sonohara - It's Terror Time Again
No one worry!!! Rekka had contingencies upon contingencies for any and all wrestling situations. Including ones where she'd been underhandedly clocked against the side of her face and sent into a retreating crawl, before being barreled into from behind with her adversary's perky backside mashed against the back of her head where she'd leave a brief indentation of her face into the middle turnbuckle. Being made to look a fool of and losing full control of the match was all a part of her plan, you see.
Whatever plan that was, it was certainly not quite coming across to the audience that night. Who all hooped and hollered for the pint-sized Latina now going for the exceptionally early count as she covered Rekka with her leg hooked into the air, some of whom on their feet in slack-jawed anticipation that Halloween was once again about to put another adversary down for the count in record time. The brawling redhead huffing out an exhalation and scrunching her face as she vaguely overheard someone blathering about needing to get to work. The referee just about to hit the three count~...when instead she'd jostle Halloween's shoulder to have her notice Rekka's index finger hooked onto the bottom rope. Instantly breaking up the pin and dashing a lot of fan's hopes.
