Perhaps his cocky attempt of a pinfall had awoken something inside of Valley, it certainly did seem as if that were the case. Taking advantage of the leader of the Dominion's arrogance, Valley would get the male down on his knee first before sending a hard strike to his chest with the use of her legs. That was enough for the big man to go down on his back, clutching his chest and a moan escaping his lips which was evidence that the kick to his chest indeed did hurt.

Down on his back, Valley had the advantage and pressed on it. It was true that the bigger you are the harder you fall, Trent was taking his sweet time to lay down on his back which allowed Valley to sprint towards the ropes and come back towards the downed male, flipping forward gracefully and coming down on top of him with a Somersault Leg Drop.

Her legs smacked him in the chest once more, knocking the wind out of the Masterpiece. His legs shot up and then dropped back down whilst he laid there, arms and legs spread wide, groaning in pain.

Valley’s move didn’t just land, but it landed well, crashing down on his chest like an axe and driving the wind clean out of him in one swift blow. She’d put a little extra oomph into it, so that was hardly surprising, wanting to deal some real pain. In part because he was a big guy and she wanted to deal whatever damage she could, and in part for spite. Still a bit sore about the cocky pin.

But it seemed like she’d driven the point home long enough, so it was back to business. She doubted she could get the win off her leg drop, effective as it was, but there was no sense in making the attempt. In the worst case, it would further wear him down.

She rolled to the side after the crash, then rolled back, grabbed his leg, and pulled it up as she draped across his chest, going for the pin. The referee slid in quick and slapped the mat to kick them off. ”1…!”

Landing in successive quick maneuvers, first the kick to his chest to take the Masterpiece down and second to follow that up with a Somersault Leg Drop, it seemed that Valley Doll was not playing games with Trent any longer. From now onwards, she was all business. The winded out leader of the Dominion laid there on his back, struggling to catch his breath in the aftermath of the leg drop.

Meanwhile, the Slamazon was not looking to waste any time and would quickly roll back up towards Trent, grabbing his leg and pulling it up whilst draping across his chest. The referee would get to the count of "one" before Trent would thrust his legs up high in the air to kick out, shoving Valley off him and rolling over onto his belly before pushing up onto his hands and knees.

Gritting his teeth in anger, he would rise up to his feet. "Did you really think that was going to be enough to beat me? You're more arrogant than I ever thought" he hissed. Not looking to slow down the intensity of the match, if Valley was up on her feet as well the Masterpiece would close in the gap and attempt a knee strike to her abs and if successfully landed, would follow it up by tucking her head under his armpit and grabbing her briefs to pull her up and slam her back down in a vertical suplex.

The answer to Trent’s question was ‘no’. She didn’t really think that the pin would work, though she wouldn’t have complained if it did. While Valley had adopted little of her mother’s smashmouth style of wrestling, she was all about her habit of routinely and ritually pinning opponents - kicking out of a pin took energy, precious energy that cost you little to make them waste.

It was also a good way to get into your opponent’s head, and if anyone doubted that, she would show them Trent Masters.

”Pot meet kettle…” She muttered to herself as she stood up. Trent didn’t make her wait long for his next volley, either. In he came, quick and fast and aggressive, bringing a knee up in her gullet with a healthy amount of force. It was enough to make her feet leave the ground, and then he made her feet leave the ground again when he snatched her up and brought her down hard with a vertical suplex, nailing her with the combo.

Effective, very. Valley hit, bounced off the canvas, then instinctively started rolling to to the ropes to recover, hoping to get her bearings before he could move in again.

Her quick response only seemed to further annoy him. To think she would accuse him of being as arrogant as her was outrageous in the Masterpiece's mind and instead of offering her a verbal response, Trent chose to really hit home his point by driving his knee into her abdomen and followed that up with a vertical suplex. Valley was driven hard on the mats, back first, the impact caused her to bounce off the canvas before she started to roll over towards the nearest set of ring ropes to recover.

The Masterpiece shifted onto one knee, watching her retreat he would quick to chase her and stop her from getting too close to the ropes. Trent would reach down to grab her short hair, giving them a firm tug as he pulled her up on her feet alongside with himself. It seemed Trent was done playing games, no longer wishing to engage with her in a verbal altercation, Trent simply wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her up off her feet to trap her in a crushing bearhug.

His arms squeezed her body as tightly as he could, his teeth were clenched in effort while he even shook her body around to hammer home his point on who was the most dominant wrestler in this right tonight. "Submit." he demanded.

Much as Valley hated to run away, it was 100% warranted in a case like this. She knew going into Tension that there would be less room for error in her matches against men, that she would be taking harder hits and that managing her stamina was a key factor. Moments like this were just confirmation of those facts.

Trent hammered her hard, and she was banking on the ropes giving her a moment’s relief. He had others ideas, though. Ideas that involved grabbing her by the hair and yanking her back up as she hissed and struggled, bringing him into his waiting arms and-

Bearhug. Surprise, surprise.

To be fair, though, Trent had one of the more effective bearhugs she’d been in, and not just of the damage she was incurring. Made sure to clasp the wrists, didn’t leave any gasps, forced her feet to leave the ground so he could use gravity as an aide. All good stuff, effective, and the grimace and groans coming from her were proof enough for that.

But submit? She’d let him know what she thought of that idea. ”You first.”

As Trent whipped her about, Valley made her move and reached out, wrapping her arms around his neck and bringing it into a headlock. At the same time, she tried to bring her legs around his midsection and clasp her ankles behind his back, attempting to see his bearhug and raise him a guillotine choke.

Her hissing and groans were proof enough that the Masterpiece was effective in his strategy of squeezing the life out of Valley Doll. Even if Trent was unable to get a submission out of Valley, no doubt it would leave her back sore enough for him to target it for the rest of the match to slowly chip away her stubbornness and get that victory. Keeping her close, Trent would grit his teeth and focus on squeezing her harder and harder. His left hand clasped around his right wrist around her lower back, really focusing on constricting her.

However, Trent's demand for a submission was responded rather strangely. Submit? Him? "What are you talking about? Nrghhh" he growled, focused on squeezing and shaking her. Her cryptic words would soon make sense when she reached out to wrap her arms around his neck while her legs wrapped around his midsection with her ankles clasping behind his back. "Mngh?! Owwff....Im-Impossible?! Guugh" he gasped in surprise, trapped in a brutal submission himself.

It was now a submission trade off, a matter of will. Trent's pride forced him not to release and instead he would continue to squeeze her. In reality, the guillotine chokehold and scissors were far effective in choking him out than his bearhug was to finish her. Soon, Trent found himself forced to drop to his knee.

Trent Masters vs. Valley Doll- A bitter start - Page 3 Empty Re: Trent Masters vs. Valley Doll- A bitter start

There were a few ways Trent could’ve reacted to her guillotine choke, and Valley was worried about quite a few of them. She expected he was most likely to try and ram her into the turnbuckle or something like that. Maybe slam her into the canvas. Crazy, wild attempts to dislodge her before she squeezed the life out of him, and she steeled herself for them.

None of it happened.

Instead, much to her surprise - and relief - he just kept on holding the bearhug, kept on squeezing her like a giant tube of toothpaste. It wasn’t fun on her spine, no. Trent was a big, strong man, lots of power in those arms arms went. But Valley could survive a bearhug. She’d been bearhugged all her life. It was a painful move, but not the kind you got submissions off of. She wasn’t about to submit to a bearhug, just on sheer principle.

”You are just adorable, you know that?” She chuckled, as best as she could chuckle with her spine being bent out of shape. She cranked the hold hard, wrenching his neck and grinding into his ribs. ”Your neck versus my back. Don’t see that working out for you, big boy.”

Trent Masters vs. Valley Doll- A bitter start - Page 3 Empty Re: Trent Masters vs. Valley Doll- A bitter start

There were indeed many ways for Trent Masters to break out of Valley's submission hold. Most of the ways would require Trent to tacitly admit that her submission maneuver was more effective than his own and in a straight up trade, he would have ended up submitting. Not wanting to his ego to take a hit, the Masterpiece continued to squeeze her harder and harder to see how far he could take this.

The answer was, not far enough. Valley would take the lead in their submission trade off and force Trent down onto his knee and it was clear he was fading faster than the Slamazon. Her giggles and taunts only made matters worse but it gave him motivation to let his ego go if it was getting in the way of victory.

Grunting in effort, Trent would pull himself back up to his feet completely before lunging downwards to slam Valley back first into the canvas for a devastating spinebuster! If pulled off successfully, he would remain on top and hook her leg for a pinfall attempt.

Ugh, things were going so well, too. Valley was cranking the hold, and getting some good results on Trent. Valley could feel the man fading beneath her, knew this hold would wear him down sooner rather than later. It wasn’t the way she preferred to win matches, never liking submission finishes all that much, but hey, she’d take it.

Then he had to go and ruin it by being competent. The jerk.

In hindsight, she should’ve seen the spinebuster coming and compensated for it, but she honestly hadn’t thought he would figure it out. He did, though, and slammed her down hard with the move, making her cry out at the impact and shaking the ring. He was in a prime position for a pin, too.

”1…!”

Smart move. Didn’t mean it would work.

”2…!”

Valley kicked out hard after the second slap, giving her a second to spare. She flopped down right after, though, breathing heavy underneath Trent. That move knocked the wind out of her, there was no hiding it.
