Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
Stone looked down at Nami with an interest and curiosity that was usually reserved for scientists viewing things through microscopes. She was an interesting little woman, reminded her a lot of a cousin back in Ohio. Energetic, bright, spunky, maybe a little too headstrong for her own good, didn’t think things out too well all the time. Stone had never been that type, but she kind of wished she was.
It was the kind of youthful vigor that you didn’t see too often in the AFW. The kind that certain people lived to crush and the audience loved to watch getting crushed.
”Hm.” Stone brought her hands down to her hips as Nami fidgeted with her foot, trying hard to remove it and having not an ounce of luck. She could’ve done this all day, most likely. Wouldn’t have gotten them anywhere. She also could’ve made it a lot worse - if the positions were switched with Mako, Nami probably would’ve taken a boot to the face right about now.
But, luckily for Nami’s teeth, Stone wasn’t Mako. ”Redo.” She eased up and stepped off her opponent, taking a step back and bringing her arms up, taking a light defensive stance. She waited for Nami to regain her footing, giving her whatever time she’d need. ”You’re faster than me.” Stone balled her fists and sunk deeper into her stance as she began to move in, closing the gap between them. ”Maybe try and use that.”

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
Her sneaker soles squealed as she kicked her feet, scuffing the top of the mat as she leaned from side to side in a bid to find leverage as she pried at Stone's big boot. She managed to spin herself a bit, but not much past that… it didn't stop her from trying though regardless of your fruitless her labors were. She was sure of one thing… this big woman was pretty darn heavy… huh. Maybe that was where her name from. Smart.
When the giant of a women stepped off of her, she treated it as a personal victory she had managed to convince her opponent that a redo was in order. Nami however was no cool, popping up to a sitting position the instant she was free and scrambling away from Stone with a scooting awkward crab walk along her butt. She had seen enough of bully sorts feigning mercy before sucker punching other people… or her. When no retribution came, she rolled backwards up onto her shoulders and kicked her legs out in a sharp kip up to stand upright again though her landing was slightly staggered from the throbbing in her side.
Despite that, she squared up, ready to go with a confident smirk on her face and a telling twinge of pain in her eye. It didn't seem as though she was bothering to take a hand out to recover, this girl wanted to get right back into the fight.
"Hmph. Careful what you wish for, you just might get it!" Nami darted in towards Stone, rushing her head on again. At the last moment she lunged to the side, planting her feet with a recording half just long enough to throw out a quick flurry of punches at Stone. She was watching for retaliation this time, ready to duck a high attack or hop something that came low before circling, trying to keep up the onslaught of blows raining down at Stone to try and overwhelm her.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
Stone couldn’t hold back a quick laugh as Nami scooted away, clearly expecting an attack that wasn’t coming any time soon. Couldn’t blame her, really - this The girl was pretty cute, in a silly schoolgirl kind of way, bursting with this energy but not quite able to use it well. She couldn’t help but be curious about her - where did she come from, what was she about, where did she train, what made this little minnow thing that jumping into a pool full of piranhas was a good idea.
Nami rose back up with a cute little kip up that Stone couldn’t have done on her best day - slick little move. ”Heh. Someone didn’t skip gym class.” She planted her feet as her opponent squared up, looking ready to take her head on, not the least bit bothered that Stone had manhandled her with ease throughout the match so far. Brave, she would give her that.
Brave, and maybe not as silly as she first appeared. It seemed like she took the advice to heart this time, darting about quick this time. Stone threw a punch out to intercept her advance, only to strike nothing but air instead as her target moved out of the way. She wound up taking a flurry of punches in the side - none of them would’ve been too big of a deal on their lonesome, but together they added up to a fair bit of pain, enough to make her wince. Even a grizzly bear could only take so many bee stings.
Stone swung out to the side, hoping to catch Nami as she circled, but she found herself too slow on the draw once more, and wound up eating another flurry for her efforts. Through it all, she wasn’t sure whether she should be proud or annoyed by it all.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
Nami came in like a little rocket, fast and nearly out of control. She was already dipping when Stone's fist came for her face, narrowing ducking underneath the intercepting blow. She spun herself in passing, strafing alongside her opponent while peppering her with quick stiff shots to the ribs and under her arm, wracking up as many hits as fast as she could as if this were some arcade game she was shooting for the high score.
When a lumbering arm swung around to catch her, she snapped back, limbing underneath it at the last moment, wide eyed and surpris d at the speed in which retaliation had come for her. She started to fall backwards but flipped herself over mod air to touch down on all fours and sprang back up yo a crouch under the looking figure of her opponent.
Leaning forward onto the balls of her sneakers she pushed off the mat, launching herself upward into the Heavenly Dragon Upper, one of her signature moves. The jumping uppercut was 100% original and legally distinct from other similar moves, especially her best friend Natsuko who used something almost like it. She let out another about with this one, throwing all she had into this mighty blow.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
A slight tinge of worry was starting to creep into Stone’s mind. Not much. Just a little. Like, say, a fraction. She was glad that Nami was finding her feet and managing to give her something of a challenge, but she knew to exercise some caution, While she could tank these blows for a while, she knew from experience that a well-placed punch to the face could always put you on your back at any given time, even when it was delivered by someone far weaker. And Nami wasn’t just flailing about, there was some method to this. She was probing. Searching. Looking for something big.
Ah. There we go.
Stone had thrown out a big punch that Nami dodged by ducking down. After that swing, there was a big hole in her defense, one that the smaller woman could take advantage of. She didn’t know what she’d try exactly, but she was willing to bet she’d go for something big. Something Stone would probably rather not be eating.
So, rather than guess or try to counter whatever was about to happen, she decided to just sidestep the issue, literally and figuratively. Stone did a short jump to side and sure enough, she moved just in time to avoid Nami leaped up with a crazy uppercut, shooting high and getting impressive air. Quite a spectacular move, really.
Rather than let Nami come back down to earth, Stone reached out and grabbed Nami’s waist, snatching her opponent out of the air like a toy off the shelf. Hefting her up with ease, she brought her down across her shoulder, grabbed her chin with one hand and her thigh with the other, and started applying pressure to her spine with a classic Torture Rack, putting her flexibility to the test. ”Got you. Great try, though.”.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
The brunette was building momentum with each landed shot, finding her own personal rhythm. She ripped from side to side, preemptively juking around Stone's strikes before they even came out. Finally she had built up enough steam to go for the killing blow, envisioning herself as the protagonist charging up the ultimate technique. When she let it rip, it was will a hell as she launched herself upwards in a spin… into to hit nothing.
Being snatched out of the air was a confusing experience, as was being rather casually slung over her opponents shoulders. She was still a bit confused at what had transpired by the time the larger woman had started to pull her down on both ends, stretching out in agonizing fashion.
She kicked her legs the the knees and clapped her hands onto the neatly fingers clutching at her chin as she struggled and gasped. She wasn't strong enough to hold back the steady bend of her body, little more than a plaything to someone as strong as Stone. To the brunette's credit, she was incredibly flexible, making breaking her like this an awkward prospect due to the positioning, but with enough effort the larger biker gal would have no real issues twisting the young rookie in knots if she so pleased.
"Owowowow! Lemme g-go!" Nami squeezed her eyes shut as he muscles tensed, trying to fight off the wracking pain. Her nails unintentionally dug into Stone's fingers as she hung on for dear life. She wouldn't last much longer like this, already at the verge of tapping out.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
The audience was raining hate Stone’s way, decrying her as she bent the poor heroine in half, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as it looked, as far as she could tell. Natsu was a flexible girl for one thing, nice and limber. She probably could’ve folded the poor thing in half if she really tried, and while it wouldn’t have been pleasant on her end, she doubted anything would break from it.
But, more to the point, she wasn’t really trying. Stone could’ve bounced with it, could’ve twisted Nami further, could’ve done quite a few things to make the time spent on her shoulders far less pleasant, but she abstained, trying to hurt the woman as much as possible without hurting her too much. Looking to get a quick tap out of her.
But that didn’t work, of course, as the smaller woman kept hanging on, refusing to give. Inspiring, really. But…
”Okay, not tapping? Fine.” She took a step away from the ropes and looked over her shoulder, making sure she was far enough away. ”Get ready for the plunge. This’ll hurt for a while, but you should be over it by the morning.”
After giving her that brief warning, stone straightened up and toppled backwards, falling to the canvas with Nami still on her back, nailing her with a stiff Samoan Drop. The instant after they made impact, she would roll over and straddle her smaller opponent, pressing against her chest for an attempted pinfall.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
Nami's high pitched whine had gotten to the point where human beings could no longer perceive it, though dogs watching at home may have been upset were she properly microphoned. Her apparent stubbornness was less to do with her tenacity and drive and more to do with her lack of combat sport expertise leaving her to wildly flail rather than wisely surrendering with a simple pat-pat of Stone's arm.
"Wait, n-no!" The brunette's stomach jumped into her throat as the two women snapped backwards, all that weight coming down on her with unexpected force that emptied her body of air. Wide eyes and winded on the canvas. She hardly moved save for a twitch of her fingers when Stone slipped over on top of her, pinning her diminutive figure to the mat.
"One!"
Nami was beat. Dead to rights. Stone was bigger, stronger, and far more seasoned at this sort of thing than the young rookie. Had she even managed to put a dent into the giant woman? Only Stone would know, she appeared damn near indestructible to onlookers in an impressive show of dominance. While many would be quick to condemn the Valkyrie for playing with her opponent, she had managed to open the eyes of some people that saw it for what it was, a content of decent sportsmanship.
"Two!"
Any wrestler worth their salt knew when to call it quits. A normal match wasn't worth the damage that came from needlessly pushing oneself. The problem was, Nami wasn't a wrestler, she was arguably not even a fighter in any professional regard. So when she threw up a arm to break the three count, it was not only ill-advised but shocking to an audience who had thought the match over.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
Stone was already considering the fallout from this, even as the referee cleared the count. Mako would be pissed that it took so long to get this win, but she didn’t care so much on that - her biggest concern was on Nami, and how this would bruise her foe’s pride. Losing like this straight out of the gate had to be a hard pill to choke down, and the AFW had no shortage of wrestlers who’d quite after such a bumpy start. Maybe after this was over, she could meet the smaller woman in the back, have a little chat, try to throw some encouragement her way, and-
...she kicked out.
Stone was thrown back by the break, half because of Nami’s surprising explosive strength, but also by sheer shock. She’d been sure, so sure, that was it, it never occurred to her that a kickout was in the cards. It was just a Samoan Drop, sure, and that hadn’t pinned anyone since the dawn of time, but if there was ever an instance where it could’ve worked, this was it.
For a few seconds, she stayed there, just looking down at Nami with disbelief. The girl had fight. Real fight. It was a shame that her body couldn’t keep up with it, and a shame that Stone was going to have to hammer her like a rusty nail to get it out. ”Couldn’t make it easy, could you? Okay.”
Reaching over she grabbed Nami by her collar and lifted her up, rising and forcing her to stand along with her. She wouldn’t be on her feet for long, however, as the Valkyrie grabbed her by the neck, hoisted her up, then brought her back down to as she dropped to a knee, slamming her spine against her thigh to send the pain straight through her smaller body. A brutal attack, one that would hurt like hell, but was almost sure to do the job - her finisher, the Avalanche.

Re: Nami Shinjo vs. Stone - Ton Of Heart
Nami's arm hadn't been up for more than a second, dragged back down to the mat by gravity alone as she lay beneath an awestruck Stone doing little more than huffing labored breathes with semi glazed eyes staring off into the distance. She had guts, for sure, though the state of them after being manhandled by Stone was almost assuredly debatable. Any competent fighter would have known when they were beat and stayed down. Nothing in the tank, no plans, this was how careers were ended in less safe hands. The body had limits that needed to be followed. With nothing left to give, she remained sprawled out across the canvus until meaty fingers grasped for her collar.
Dragging her upright was a task, only made easy by being as strong as someone like Stone. While no means heavy, Nami was little more than dead weight at this point. No resistance left, she was hefted up like a ragdoll on full display with little more than a weak kick of her feet or a struggled clench of her fingers. With all the grace of a sack of potatoes she was ripped up off the mat and slammed down across an amazonian thigh, body bending elastically around the firm muscle it almost looked as though she was a woman without bones. A muted gasp of pain as he mouth hung open, unable to force out any real sound at the impact.
Nami's petite form snapped back from the landing, flopping off and onto the mat on her side where she remained for a second or two before rolling onto her front. face firmly pushed into the canvas, body made of jelly, she was completely out of it.
