Zoey Jae Oh vs. Camilia Espinosa - Jugar con Fuego

Zoey had honestly considered turning this one down. She really had.

While in the past management had been able to reliably approach her with just about any match offer they could dream up, her recent match against Eirina had left her a tad...shellshocked to say the least. Nothing she couldn’t come back from, though.

But now she was stepping into a hardcore match. Her first one. A fight without any restraints was where she shined best, sure, but she’d caught a couple of these online that went particularly bad. Broken bones, plenty of blood, early retirements. Didn’t make this all very appealing. Even so, she knew in her gut that she could at least handle it.

Plus, for the first time in a long while, since her debut even, she was up against a newcomer. That was something, at least. She had experience over this one. Two minutes of Google searching didn’t bring anything up about her, so whatever accolades she had clearly weren’t anything worth mentioning. That was also a good thing.

But what it came down to was the statement she’d be sending. If she turned down this one, when could she expect to be offered another? She wasn’t exactly timely nowadays with her responses. Hell, what if people found out about that? Thought she was losing her ede? She’d come too far to start again from square one.

So, fuck it.

When her music picked up and she came out from behind the curtain, she was the same ol’ Taekwondo asskicker she stepped in as, all smiles and wide steps as she slid into the ring and gestured for a mic. The ref handed one to her and she waited for the crowd to settle a bit.

“How ya doin’, Tokyo!? You ready to roll?!” The crowd gave a sweeping round of applause, a stark contrast from when she first showed up in this arena. Looks like she was finally starting to get some respect around here. “Glad were on the same page! Y'all know me. Cant stay away for long. Apparently there’s some new blood in town and the boys upstairs wanna see what they’re made of.” She stopped in the center, placing a hand on her hip. “Whoever she is, though, I’ll give her this. She’s got balls. Takin’ on the best Taekwondo chick in this place, and a hardcore match to start?” Zoey closed her eyes and gave her head a couple shakes. “Cocky. Cock-fuckin’-y.” She opened her eyes and looked back up, a wide smirk about her face. “Not my problem, though. You all know the score. I’m just here to kick ass- their ass- and look damn good doing it.” She brought two fingers to her lips, blowing a kiss to the side camera. “So! With that shit out of the way…”

She spun about on her heel, facing the entrance and giving the mic a quick twirl in her hand as she did so. Devolving the smirk into a half-interested version of what it once was, she brought the mic to her lips.

“Yo! Fresh meat! Come on out!”

Camilia sat nestled backstage, tapping her foot perhaps our of nervousness or maybe she was just that ready, she couldn’t tell herself but it seemed to far fetched to call it nervous. With Zoey taking to the ring first it, the crowd roared for them, the katina wondered if they were a fan favorite and if by winning tonight would she turn the crowd against her.

While she waited, she ran over everything the higher ups had explained to her tonight about their match. It was good not to have to hold back on her match and even more so that she could inflict as much pain as she wanted.

It wasn’t until Zoey’s trash talk blared in the speakers that her entire mood changed. The La Toro Blanca, couldn’t stand being underestimated or soar at and this? This was getting personal. Her hardened gaze meets one of the stage hands, she holds out her hand, demanding a mic to retort.

She steps out from behind the curtain as her music begins to play, with mic in hand she swipes her hand across her throat demanding they stop playing for a minute. They pace about the stage as her lips part” You know, I had planned on coming out here, to have a good time. Just like back home in México until it bored me to death but now? I plan on showing you why they call me ‘La Toro Blanca’! “ as she dropped the mic, some of the crowd began to chant her nickname, the name she carried from her underground days with pride.

As her music began to play again she runs down the ramp, her mind completely made up to show them no mercy. As she closes in toward the ring she jumps on top of the apron and climbs up the outside turnbuckle, thrusting up her fist, to the roar of the crowd. Hopping over the ropes she steps back to her corner, her ruby gaze locked into the chick she would enjoy beating to the mat. ” I hope you enjoyed talking big perra, becuase I’m gonna have fun kicking you around this ring.” They crack a malicious grinds she waits for the referee.

Zoey wasn’t really sure what to expect as she waited for her opponent to make her big debut, but she wasn’t gonna lie. This woman looked pretty hardcore. If that heavy theme music didn’t do it for her, the leather jacket, the ripped denims, and the ashen hair style certainly did. Or maybe it was the deep scar on her face. Yeah, that was probably it. Couldn’t tell what kind of antics this woman was getting into in the past, but it seemed pretty clear that she wasn’t someone who took to being soft-sold.

Especially if that entrance was anything to go by. That was a first. Someone who stopped their own entrance just to make clear how utterly pissed off they were right now. That definitely didn’t make the technicians backstage any happier. Zoey, on the other hand, just looked as cool as can be with the smirk still wide across her face.

“Yeah? Fuckin’ try it, mamacita.”

She tossed the mic back to a stagehand as she watched her opponent slide into the ring. Now that she was afforded a better look, there certainly seemed to be more to this woman than met the eye. They were basically the same in height, couldn’t be too far off in age, but this chick looked seasoned. Her skin looked plenty rough as well as tight, and, if her midriff was anything to go by, held back a pretty well put together body. She could just barely make out the callouses on her hands as well. Whoever this was, she definitely fought to get where she was now.

The ‘perra’ bit of that comment didn’t pass Zoey by, though. Guess someone was having trouble getting the score here. Rather than take her spot on the other side of the ring, Zoey waltzed right over to Camilla as she got herself ready, grabbing a hold of the top rope beside her to lean against it, barely a foot out of her personal space.

“Come on, let’s get a clue here Ms. Matador. You’re the nobody. I’m not. So I get to talk big, because, unlike some people, I don’t bullshit.” She stood up straight again and crossed her arms, keeping the same smile on her face as she looked into the woman’s eyes, seeing the fire behind them. “But I get it. You’re new here. We can have some nice back and forth early on, really sell it for the cameras, but when I take you down, I’m taking you down. It's probably better for you to learn your place here that way. ‘Kay?” She reached her hand over, giving the woman’s cheek a couple pats as the referee finally turned up and started making her way down the ramp.

Camilia snorts at their attempt to get under their skin, they totally had and anyone who didn’t thinkso was either blind or couldn’t read the atmosphere. The katina was close to breaking her silence with excessive Spanish swearing and coming st the Korean girl from every which way. Back in the the underground, you didn’t talk big, your moves and actions defines who you were.

Zoey was awfully brave to come onto herside before the bell and continue to run her mouth. It was agonizing to hear them continue on about how big of a deal they are and such, just listening to it made her want to knock herself out but this was an opportunity.

With them so close in her bound, she figured she may as well analyze her opponent too. She didn’t find anything to spectacular, her build appeared to have a weak foundation although it looked like they may have some muscle in their thigh and calves, her arms didn’t seem toned or even somewhat visibly noticeable. What was this, some kind of game?

At this point she had, had enough. It was one thing to talk but to pay her face like some animal? Oh that’s how you get the horns. With a swift step forward she grabs hold of their top, her fist full of fabric as she brought them close. ” Listen up, poco perra, the only one going down tonight is you. You just couldn’t stop running your mouth could you? Well this ‘mamacita’ is going to show you what it’s like down in the underground. “

The referee ran to thebring, their arms outstretched to sperate the two, Camilia wanted so badly to get a hook in but that’s have to wait. She was patient, but blood boiling to have her way and beat them down.

Call it clairvoyance if you want, but for some reason, Zoey had a feeling before it even happened that Camilia wasn’t going to take kindly to those pats to the face. They weren’t particularly rough, but they weren’t exactly done in good faith either.

Zoey went cross-eyed for a couple seconds and found herself in a rapid blinking fit as Camilla kept her close. Her arms went limp to her sides, seemingly gaining a million pounds the instant this woman brought her face-to-face. Her breath was like fire as it burned over her face, complimenting that fierce scowl that bore further and further into Zoey with every word she spoke. Zoey’s eyes just kept moving from one pupil to the other, unsure of what exactly to do in this death grip.

Thankfully, the ref was there..to save her, that was. Zoey was just about to bring the thunder, too. Lucky.

She backed up and headed back to the center, waiting there as the ref called Camilia over to do this thing proper. Zoey found herself averting direct eye contact for a second, just a second, before standing up straight again and looking the Tojo right in that bullish gaze of hers as the official went over the rules. Didn’t take that long, though. Because, y’know, hardcore rules, as in no rules.

“Fine.” She shrugged. “I’ll bring the heat, but just remember: you asked for this.”

The bell went off and, contrary to her words, Zoey took a couple steps back, making some space while keeping her fists up and legs wide. Just biding her time as she moved in a circle around the woman, waiting to see what she’d do first.

Camilia would hold fast to the sudden push of the ref, her threat was meant for business not show but it was possible Zoey played her off as some cheap fodder. She’d be sure to make the arena and Zoey what she was made of and if beating them down was going to do it then by Dios will she’d do it with a smile.

The Latina growled as she was called to the center, her blood still boiling hot with how things transpired but all it took was the brief moment of rules and then she could begin. It felt like her body temperature rose, it was astonishing to even her that she lost her temper so suddenly, her usual patience usually lasting much longer and with a stronger fortitude.

With that now out of the way, the bell rings for them to start, she raises up her arms, not to stiff but far from loose. They could gather that the other possessed some expirence as they rushed into their stance and began to circle the ring. It wasn’t a bad idea to try to read their opponent but the people paid for action not some Mexican standoff.

” I hope your heat can match mis especias! “ With her posture leaning slightly forward, they’d make a lunge, to close the gap and allow her some reign over the other. She had hoped her sudden dash would surprise them and with surprise would come manic, if her plan panned out well she’d grab their arm to twist behind their back. She’d apply pressure this way to force them into her territory and then slaughtered.

God, this was reminding her so much of Animal Planet right now.

This image of a lioness stalking her prey in the tall grass came to mind, and the gazelle its was hunting just looking at it from the corner of its eye. The anticipation building, bodies priming themselves for what may have been the killing blow. Zoey felt like she was in the middle of the savannah as she kept on her circular rotation. And honestly, between the heat from the stage lights and this very grizzly looking woman bearing down on her with absolute death in her eyes, it didn’t take a lot of imagination.

And then she pounced. This white-haired predator bearing down on her with the kind of killer speed that Zoey hadn’t personally seen yet. With what must have looked like zero effort at all, the underground fighter caught her in a hammerlock, twisting her arm from behind. Zoey hissed as she felt her shoulder being pushed from its socket.

“Let go of me, you stupid fucking-!”

That was when a thought occurred to her. A memory, not too distant in her past. She’d been in this hold before in her previous match, and the way she’d gotten out of it had nearly gotten her disqualified. But given this was a hardcore match and all…

Well, you didn’t have to tell Zoey twice. Shuffling her foot back only slightly, making sure the alignment was right, she shot her back foot up. With that, her heel would be on a trajectory right up and between Camilia’s legs.

Camilia honestly hadn’t expected her first move to make any headway but it seemed fair enough to say she had the speed advantage so far and if she were lucky even the strength advantage to toss Zoey like a rag doll from here on.

The next set of events took her for a loop, she had planned on taking them down with this hold to sink in her fangs to continue her assualt but she forgot what kind of match this was and would find herself paying for it dearly. With their sudden shift of their foot Camilia had no time to shove them away to save her womanhood from the kick.

It was a cheap shot but it wasn’t like she wasn’t used to this kind of thing. Back home,she and her opponents would make this move all the time, though she never liked being in the receiving end” ¿Q-qué? “ her grip on them loosened as she curled over to hold her crotch. The pain shook up to her stomach fast and gave the sensation of nausea, her gaze locking on the other as she back up into the ropes.

Her breathing quickened she was losing her temper and the bull that slept within was beginning to wake. She was open, her only hope was she could recover or even counter their next move.

Huh, she was still standing after that.

In her experience, being both on the receiving end and the delivering side of a nut shot countless times, it didn't feel good. It was probably one of the most disorienting moves someone could take in the squared circle. Even the last woman Zoey did this too, a total veteran, fell to her knees straight away, giving her ample time for a follow-up.

Camilia, though, was quickly proving to be a bit more robust than most. She was still standing tall, albeit a bit more wobbly than before, just looking more pissed off than usual. She abandoned the hold, sure, but any sane person would. It just left the Korean-American wondering even more just what this woman was up to before deciding to go pro.

One thing was for sure, though: she had some serious balls.

Didn’t mean she was invincible, though. Not if the way she backed away to the ropes was anything to go by. Camilia was hurting, which meant that Zoey needed to make sure she kept on hurting all the way until that bell rung for the second time.

“Talk tough now, bitch!” She yelled, lunging towards her as she recovered.

She didn’t intend to give Camilia even a second to herself. Zoey would bring the heat, and, just like she promised, she didn’t bullshit. Once she was close enough to the woman’s side, Zoey would bring her back leg forward and swing it high in a roundhouse kick towards the Mexican’s face.

The Latin could see her trying to compute something in their head, was it her next move or something far more sinister? Truth be told none of it mattered, Camilia was more worried about the moments now. Her body was shook and she left open.

Hearing her smack talk to a cheap shot wasn’t something she really wanted to have to listen to. It was beyond arrogant and the girl seemed so full of herself, Camilia hoped she’d have an off button somewhere she could push.
” Big talk for making a cheap shot, puta! “ she spat, her reply full of hate and anger forbthe Korean-American and when given the oppurtunity she’d make it known.

It took a few seconds for her stomach to settle down but that time meant nothing as the next thing she saw would be an upcoming rooundhouse, she knew for a fact that, that would be painful to get smacked down by. They wouldn’t wait for impact, using the ropes for a brief boost of momentum they lunge again her right arm out wide as if to tackle the woman down.

If she was successful in avoiding her roadhouse and tackling Zoey down, she’d pin her to the canvas, her knees over their shoulders as she spoiled weight to their chest. If all continued as she envisioned they’d earn a quick volley of punches to her face to put the perra in her place.
