Mako "The Shark" Adachi VS Makie Akamatsu

Mako was very, VERY eager to face her upcoming opponent, and in a falls count anywhere match no less! The woman’s name was Makie Akamatsu, otherwise known as Miss Hurricane, and the shark was certain that she’d be a good challenge. So after putting her black leg guards on and making sure she looked good in the closest mirror, Mako would head out of the locker room in her normal attire ready to make an entrance!

The crowd was just as eager to see the match as she was, so when Mako’s theme began to play, they would respond with a huge roar as she ran out of the entrance! The shark would slow down as she approached the ramp, which is where she’d throw her arms up as the crowd cheered. Mako wouldn’t stay there too long though, as she would start dashing towards the ring. Then as she reached it, the shark would slide right under the bottom ropes before hoping back up on her feet.

In the shark's mind, there was nothing that could stop her as she fed on the fan’s cheers. So after walking over to her corner while waving to the fans, Mako would lean back and wait anxiously to meet Miss Hurricane face to face!

The Shark didn't have to wait long.

Theme music began to blare out of the other end of the arena, and the audience cheered the moment they recognized the theme. Their cheering rose to a greater pitch as Makie Akamatsu strode into the arena. Raising her arms almost like a conductor urging her fans to scream louder, Makie strode down the ramp, her eyes focused on the ring and on the black clad figure standing in it.

She was trying to forget that she was on a losing streak right now. Losing against someone of Belinda Northman's calibre, she could take...but after her recent tournament loss to a new girl like Melody, she knew she needed to step up her game. Especially against someone who had recently been making waves in Tension like Mako Adachi.

Sliding under the ropes, Makie wasted no time striding towards Mako, locking eyes with her. The other girl was taller than her, with a slender figure that spoke of speed and agility. She noted the girl's tattoos, her tough girl attitude, and simply folded her arms, unimpressed.

"So you're the shark girl I've been hearing so much about, huh?" She said, remaining aloof even as she had to crane her neck up slightly to look at Mako. "You should have stayed in the water where it's safe."

Mako watched as the woman known as Miss Hurricane made her entrance, who managed to receive a louder entrance than the shark. Well...that'd change after tonight. So as Makie made her way into the ring and came face to face with the shark, she'd look...unimpressed. Then the black haired woman would taunt Mako, calling her shark girl, and saying that she should've stayed in the water.

Ok...she had to give it to Makie...that was good one.

"Heh...I don't like to play it safe short stuff...what fun would life be without a little danger?" Mako would say as she stepped even closer to the woman with her hands on her hips. Forcing her to look down even more as she closed the distance between them, she'd try to look pretty intimidating before breaking the tension. "So...you ready to get a little risky?" the shark would say with a grin as she stepped back and extended her hand to her opponent.

Mako was friendly now, but as soon as the bell rang out, it'd be the time to fight. And when the shark had to fight...she was usually completely serious.

As Mako drew closer, Makie was forced with a much better look at the other girl. This close, Mako was...impressive. Not just taller, but also lean and muscular where it counted. And, Makie was forced to admit to her annoyance, better endowed. Still, Makie remained unintimidated. She had fought bigger and meaner girls (and guys) with more impressive tattoos, and had won. Mako would be no different.

"I'm always serious about kicking ass," Makie replied, stiffly shaking her opponent's hand before backing away. Then the bell rang: the moment to put her words into action. Springing from her corner, she circled Mako, hopping lightly on her feet as she watched the other girl, raising her arms for an collar and elbow lockup as she scanned her foe and judged her next moves very carefully...

"Heh I'm counting on it...otherwise this'll be a let down..." the shark would say with a chuckle. Clearly she was looking forward to seeing what the woman could do, but Mako could also tell her opponent was all business as she shook her hand. Makie was not only stiff, but she also seemed annoyed by something before leaving to her corner. And for a second, Mako thought it might’ve just been her way of calming her nerves, but having seen her opponent looking at her chest, there was another possibility of what this woman was annoyed by.

Regardless of what was up though, the shark would refrain from voicing her thoughts so the two could start this fight professionally (Of course shed be bringing it up afterwards if she got the chance).

So as soon as the bell rang, Mako would once again meet with the hurricane as they circled one another as if they were two different predators sizing each other up. Clearly Makie was scanning her for weaknesses, but the shark was doing the same. And with her foe’s hands in the air, Mako would move in for a lock up. Knowing she was the taller of the two, the shark would try to force Makie back against her corner just to put it in her opponent’s head that their was a clear difference in their power.

Hopping lightly on her feet, Makie glared at her opponent, wary for any tricks that she might pull. For her part, Mako seemed honest in her intentions as she moved in for a lockup. Fine then, Makie thought to herself, we'll start this the good old fashioned way.

And so the two grappled, Makie dropping low as she pushed against her taller opponent. It quickly became apparent that Mako had a strength as well as a height advantage, as Makie found herself being pushed back. Even as she gritted her teeth, she figured that something like this would happen, and she intended to prove to Mako that she was no idiot.

As Mako pushed back on her, Makie kept resisting even as she felt herself pushed up against the corner. From there, she waited for the ref to force them to break, still glaring at Mako all the whole. She wanted to lull Mako into a false sense of superiority, to get her to start making mistakes...

Mako would manage to get the hurricane back into the corner, albeit with some difficulty, but she had a plan as the ref girl called for her to break away. Instead, the shark would shift her grip from Makie's shoulder and collar to her hand and forearm in order to attempt an irish whip to the alternate corner across from them with a shout.

Hopefully this could set the smaller woman up for the first attack from Mako, which would be a double knee strike right to Miss Hurricane's chest at high speed. Now while the shark had the power advantage, she may have had the disadvantage in speed for once considering Makie's athleticism and smaller size.

Still Mako was confidant, maybe too confidant, in her speed above all else. So there was little to no doubt that she would fail to land the first blow of this match. After all, she had technically won the first grapple, this would be no different in her mind.

Makie was breathing through clenched teeth as Mako backed her up into the corner. Feeling her back press against the turnbuckle, her arm was suddenly grabbed as Mako whipped her across the ring. Bouncing off the ropes, Makie saw Mako launch herself at her with a double knee strike...

...and spun to the side, evading Mako as she flew past. Maintaining her spin, Makie snapped both legs up, hoping to nail Mako in her back, or, even better, her head. Hopefully, this would stun Mako nicely enough that she could follow up against her.

Mako thought she had this strike in the bag, but Makie was just too quick as she spun to the side before jumping up and kicking the shark's back with both feet. Groaning after she was hit face first into the turnbuckle, she'd stay leaning against the corner as she pulled herself up. Needless to say the shark didn't like that she had just gotten a mouthful of turnbuckle and she was eager to get payback.

"Ugh...son of a bitch you're fast..." Mako would curse as she pushed herself off of the turnbuckle with a pain in her upper back. Makie may have gotten one over on the shark, but she wouldn't be lucky like that forever.

Makie's heart was pounding after she nailed that counter. Hopefully, that showed Mako that she was not dealing with some rank amateur that she could simply muscle around-- as Makie intended to prove with her next set of moves.

The moment Mako turned around, Makie would be on her, hammering a relentless series of kicks up at the shark girl's face. "Don't! Fuck! With me!" she shouted with each kick; assuming they hit, then she would grab a hold of Mako's and run forwards and bulldog or snapmare her to the mat; she would try to be ready for any counter Mako might pull.
