Strategy: Her strategy is centered on quick, sudden bursts of offense that make use of her exceptional athleticism and her surprising strength, both being a testament to her fantastic fitness. Knowing both lucha libre and capoeira, the wrestler La Mariposa incorporates both techniques into her wrestling style, spending most of a match showing off her flexibility with a variety of kicks both high and low, getting her legs around an opponent's head to flip them to the canvas, or getting good leverage and bringing out an occasional powerhouse move to put a real hurting on an opponent. She also adds as much flair to her fighting style as possible, with lots of flips that carry her around the ring. Since her fighting style involves a lot of risk, she's wide open for reversals a lot of the time and can set herself up to fail spectacularly. She also rarely goes on the defensive, trying to stay on the attack for most of the match. A patient opponent who doesn't get caught up into a speed game with her, and especially a submission specialist, has the biggest advantage.

Personality: Lisa Hamilton herself appears to be what one might expect from someone who studied to become a scientist and worked for several years as one, even as a young woman, due to her brilliance. She's fairly confident and methodical in most matters, and she often thinks things through to make the most intelligent decisions. To call her reserved would be accurate. However, Lisa was a much more...fun person during her time in school and in college, and only the responsibilities of being a scientist, plus the near-disasters that she helped cause, typically inadvertently, with DOATEC and MIST, have forced her into a state where she believes she must always come across as controlled and wise. She has had to stay sharp.

Wrestling was Lisa's way of letting loose and revealing the fun, flirty side that she had stifled, which is why she created "La Mariposa." As La Mariposa, she can show her charms off to the crowds and be sensual without any one of them ever having to analyze her for her professionalism and abilities outside of the ring. The real Lisa Hamilton is somewhere in between the reserved scientist and the wild luchadora, but that part of her is unknowingly stifled, especially now that she is in AFW and trying to avoid the dangers of her past.

Past/History: Very few people know anything about Lisa Hamilton's past, and she prefers it that way. In reality, she was born into a family that moved around a lot, moving from the northwest to the California coast down to Texas and the southern states before Lisa left for college. She got a great variety of experiences in all these different places, but she never really had any solidarity in her life, so she had to become a social butterfly in order to make friends in the variety of places she traveled to. Early on, too, she developed a love for the sciences, and displayed an almost genius-level handling of science in her classes. This triggered her desire to study as a scientist in college.

For the time being, however, she lived a very social life and developed into a very attractive young woman, a great volleyball player, and an avid surfer. During her time on the volleyball team, she became good friends with another girl at the school she was attending, Tina Armstrong, and it was from Tina that Lisa first developed something of a love for wrestling, since Tina's father was the great Bass Armstrong and Tina seemed to want to walk in her father's footsteps. As a result, Lisa came in contact with the ways of wrestling and with training for it, toning her already-athletic body.

Lisa finished high school early, and went to a major university to study science. She flew through college, as well, showing a fantastic grasp of genetics while continuing to pursue some interest in wrestling. As a hot commodity once she had her degree, however, Lisa ended up being approached by DOATEC Germany, which wanted her for several genetic projects. Lisa had to put aside more entertaining endeavors as she took hold of the opportunity and was quickly promoted to becoming one of the head scientists. Wanting to impress, even if she was confident in her skills, she dedicated herself heavily to the work.

Unfortunately, Lisa got wrapped up in a little more than she bargained for, though she initially believed herself up to the challenge as she was assigned to Project Alpha and Project Epsilon, meant to genetically create the "ultimate fighter" for DOATEC. While Lisa performed brilliantly as a scientist on both projects, her involvement nearly got her killed. The moral ramifications were difficult to deal with, as well. At first, Lisa stifled her questions about those ramifications, but eventually she had a change of heart, realizing DOATEC's projects were crooked. Not knowing how to affect things from the inside, Lisa returned to the wrestling love she had developed and became "La Mariposa," the butterfly, to enter the DOA fighting tournament and emerge victorious to make a change. Her efforts failed, however, but she did manage to leave DOATEC to become a luchadora for a time.

She regretted not staying a luchadora. She got back into science, working for an organization that branched out from DOATEC and worked on the same projects, MIST, but this time, she worked only to see what they had planned to ensure that another disaster like the one at DOATEC did not take place. Though wary of her work this time, Lisa failed to realize that MIST was trying to restore Project Epsilon. When she put her life on the line to stop it, she was nearly killed again and barely escaped with her life. She spent some time recovering, deciding that she was not going to go back to that life anytime soon.

She ended up in Japan, trying to fly under the radar and avoid anyone who might try to pursue her after the MIST incident. It was in Japan that she came into contact with AFW, seeing it as her best chance to escape her past and make a hobby that she enjoyed into a career, at least for a time, while she could remain anonymous using "La Mariposa" in her matches. After a tryout, she signed a contract with them to join.

+She loves the feel and look of various kinds of tights and hosiery, and only regrets the fact that she can find no style in either attire that fits with the luchadora look.
