Topic: Wrestling?

WWE Divas don't put on good wrestling matches because that's not what they're asked to do. When they HAVE had good wrestlers, they still only have them do catty divas matches, and the more talented workers tend to job.

Turns out that having models catfight each other is not that interesting and people don't watch it... Although I do think that they can do a good job at what they do.

I probably don't need to explain how it irks me that people will bring in women specifically to be eye candy, and then criticize them for not being Steve Austin. There are hard working and talented girls out there, but in general they are either passed up for better looking ones, or hired and booked to do catfight stuff.

The actual quality of the WWE match specifically (I'm not talking about the NXT matches) Has improved. Nikki Bella has actually become a pretty solid wrestler. She's been putting in work. But your point remains mostly when it comes to the peripheral divas.

Naomi, for example, got a big push recently and she nearly ended Paige's career with a botch.

I don't think the NXT girls that get pushed will be as expected to cat it up as their diva counterparts. Paige, for example, does not really do that stuff. She gets booked as a wrestler.

Naomi's finisher is a booty to the face.


That sums up what the WWE expects of its Divas.

Her weight fluctuates wildly. She is on the down now and getting slimmer. But why on earth do you think she is so slutty or dumb? From what I have seen she is not some great orator but she is fairly articulate.

She is getting better all the time. When she is a heel I think she is a lot better. If you watch her, she knows how to get the crowd on her side.

The wrestling of the Divas division turned from:
Neglected sideshow -> ok while in steady decline until Maryse, Mickie James and Melina left -> to absolutely awful with horribly bad *wrestlers* like Kelly Kelly(who was so bad that it was starting to be funny again) or any of the Bella twins at this time beating top talent like Natalia and Beth Phoenix with no personalities required until Eve Torres(Hoeski!^^) Kaitlyn and Aj Lee appeared or stepped up -> rapidly degenerating to the *Age of Bellas* show with serious contender Paige, a neglected Alicia Fox, a Layla who is probably on her way out, Candies Summer Rae and Rosa Mendes, a so so Tamina and a burned and back to NXT demoted Emma(paired with Santino Marella at her debut already, usually a sure fire sign that your career crumbled to dust in your hands).

Whoever comes up from NXT can only be of help. But still, the pure quality of the Diva match has surprisingly improved massively after the disaster that was the Battle Royal in which Gaile Kim eliminated herself because she couldn´t stand this shit anymore. Probably courtesy to Golddust, Sara del Rey, Dusty Rhodes, William Regal and HHH, who is rumoured to be an advocate for women wrestling within the WWE.

Speaking of which, I remember hearing that a women's match is actually going to main event one of the future NXT specials. That'd be neat.

It could've been the main, though. Kicked all kinds of ass. Kind of want to watch it again, now. I think I will.
